I remember that little data center you've got there, schuster. during these peak loads, take a listen really close to the server; if you hear a lot of clitter-clatter and chattering noises from the drives, then you know there's a crapload of IO work going on. There's *always* gonna be some, but seek operations are pretty costly, time wise. |
