18:00 Kchris I am testing the patch for bug 14776 on kohadevbox. Once the patch is applied, the SCO user's information disappears. But the OPAC language menus never display. 18:13 tcohen you should cd kohaclone/misc/translator

22:52 eythian http://www.androidplanet.nl/ni[…]allow-downloaden/ <-- wizzyrea, marshmallow is officially out now if you feel like a manual upgrade
22:52 wizzyrea nexus 4 :(
22:53 eythian ah
22:53 wizzyrea someday soon I might get a 5x
22:53 wizzyrea I really like my nexus 4
22:53 wizzyrea it's the perfect size.
22:53 dcook wizzyrea: how big is the screen?
22:53 Francesca I have a s5
22:53 dcook I find my S3 a bit on the hefty side..
22:53 Francesca do you think ti will get marshmallow
22:53 wizzyrea 4inch I think
22:53 Francesca I just replaced my s3
22:53 wizzyrea not for ages
22:54 Francesca sad
22:54 wizzyrea because samsung is daft.
22:54 dcook ^
22:54 wizzyrea it's just true.
22:54 wizzyrea they take ages.
22:54 Francesca ah well lollipop is cool
22:54 cdickinson wizzyrea: everyone but google
22:54 eythian wizzyrea: when you've had a better sized phone than the N4, it starts to feel like a tiny tiny iphone or something though :)
22:54 Francesca still want marshmellow though
22:54 wizzyrea because of their stupid proprietary UI
22:54 cdickinson I'm still on an S3 mini
22:54 wizzyrea idunno
22:54 cdickinson and I never got more than 4.1 Jelly Bean
22:54 cdickinson CyanogenMod to the rescue
22:54 wizzyrea I play around with trea's bigger phone
22:54 Francesca My s3 got up to 4.3
22:54 dcook Yeah, I keep meaning to try CyanogenMod
22:54 Francesca I think
22:54 wizzyrea and it feels like carrying around a frikkin tablet.
22:54 dcook ^
22:55 Francesca My s5 came with lollipop out of the box
22:55 wizzyrea which, I don't much like.
22:55 Francesca you don't like lollipop?
22:55 wizzyrea I have a tablet for tablet-y things
22:55 eythian oh, rats. I can't manually update because I foolishly didn't unlock my bootloader when I got my new phone. I need to wait for the OTA update images.
22:55 cdickinson I have bigger hands than Francesca and I'm not sure about the size
22:55 wizzyrea no no I like lollipop just fine
22:55 eythian I have two hands.
22:55 Francesca I'd hope so
22:57 wizzyrea it's probably an actual security concern to not be on the latest android.
22:57 Francesca yeah
22:57 wizzyrea which is why I'll end up with a new phone sooner than later :(
22:57 wizzyrea one that I'll likely like less.
22:57 Francesca lollipop is quite cool and I don't wanna lose the awesome built in camera on samsung
22:57 Francesca why don't you use a custom ROM?
22:57 wizzyrea because I'm lazy :P
22:58 wizzyrea it may come to that
22:58 wizzyrea maybe.
22:58 Francesca lol
22:58 cdickinson CyanogenMod is good, but Lollipop is taxing on old hardware
22:58 wizzyrea well my tablet is probably due for a hardware refresh. I might not replace it though.
22:58 wizzyrea so a bigger phone might make sense
22:59 wizzyrea but seriously, holding some of these phones up to your head looks ridiculous.
22:59 dcook eythian: You have two hands? I must use my phone more than I should, as it always seems like one of my hands is occupied while the other is using the phone
22:59 dcook That sounds worse than I mean...
22:59 wizzyrea it's like people who take pictures in public with an iPad
22:59 wizzyrea that is just silly.
22:59 dcook Carrying groceries, holding the bars on the bus..
22:59 wizzyrea (looking)
22:59 cdickinson lol
22:59 Francesca I have always needed 2 hands to use my phone
22:59 dcook wizzyrea: A friend lost her phone recently, so now she does phone calls on her iPad as well ;)
22:59 Francesca well not always
22:59 Francesca but I have small hands
22:59 wizzyrea I am so sorry for your friends.
22:59 wizzyrea friend*
23:00 dcook hehe
23:00 dcook "I am so sorry for your friends."
23:00 Francesca the s5 is probably as a big as I'll go in screen sizes
23:00 dcook The context with that could make that so amusing..
23:00 wizzyrea well that isn't what I meant.
23:00 wizzyrea :P
23:00 dcook :p
23:00 eythian https://twitter.com/simonpegg/status/15788826307 <-- dcook
23:00 dcook Well, I count you as a friend, wizzyrea, so there we go :p
23:00 wizzyrea YES exactly
23:00 Francesca beautiful
23:00 dcook eythian: Yes. That.
23:00 wahanui i heard yes. that was what we are doing now. if we have more patrons then it becomes tough.
23:00 wizzyrea that is the perfect thing.
23:00 Francesca just why
23:01 Francesca why would you make calls on an ipad
23:01 dcook You don't have a phone?
23:01 cdickinson might as well be holding up our laptops to our ears in a couple of years
23:01 wizzyrea necessity, I'd reckon.
23:01 dcook cdickinson: Laptops?
23:01 Francesca hahahaha
23:01 wizzyrea I'd buy a $20 dumb phone before I'd do that.
23:01 dcook I'm hoping in a couple of years we won't even need laps
23:01 Francesca making a call on my macbook pro
23:01 Francesca hmmm
23:02 dcook See... I was thinking of a lapless life as being either a cyborg or some sort of digital consciousness, but now I can just imagine gruesome possibilities...
23:02 Francesca don't think it'd work somehow
23:02 Francesca dcook: should we be concerned
23:02 dcook That could make for an interesting short story...
23:02 dcook All the rich transfer their consciousnesses to the web and the poor people tend the machines that keep them literally in power
23:02 Francesca maybe I should have written my essay on technology
23:02 Francesca instead of cats
23:03 dcook Then some visionary just decides to pull the power plug O_O
23:03 dcook The rich will wish they invested in solar panels and wind power then...
23:03 Francesca lol
23:03 dcook Technology cats...
23:04 Francesca duh duh duuuuuh
23:04 Francesca smartcats
23:04 dcook If only I had rapid photoshop skills to make a Thundercats gif with them all wearing nerd glasses...

23:05 cdickinson creepy
23:05 Francesca there is an ibin outside the pire street dairy
23:05 dcook Oh no...
23:05 * dcook closes his HexChat window for a bit
23:05 dcook Too creeped out :p
23:06 cdickinson /clear is your friend
23:06 Francesca it gets rid of everything
23:08 wizzyrea smh
23:08 Francesca smh?
23:08 dcook Sydney Morning Herald
23:08 * dcook giggles
23:08 cdickinson lol
23:08 cdickinson Shaking My Head
23:08 dcook The funny thing is that "smh...smh" still works
23:08 Francesca oh ok
23:09 dcook Ok, actually closing this window
23:09 cdickinson that's something wahanui could do that's actually useful for a change
23:09 dcook Err minimizing...
23:09 Francesca lol ok
23:09 cdickinson outside of nslookup, which is awesome
23:12 Francesca alright I should probably go

23:55 dcook Didn't know that...
23:55 * dcook wonders how old that statement is
23:56 dcook Fun software idea:
23:57 dcook Government announces a 13th month and mandates that all software must be updated to support this new 13th month
23:57 dcook I suppose that's actually not that bad...
23:57 dcook It would be worse if we did away with months and just used years and days...
23:59 dcook Is there an ISO format for taking into account planetary time differences?
23:59 * dcook needs more science friends
