as for being recommended to wait.. as with pretty much all software.. the .0 release for a 'new features' release is nearly always the least stable.. thus many recommend to wait a few months for the .2 or .3 release.. however.. if everyone does that then any bugs that might have been caught in the .1 or .2 releases are left untested and as such they may fall behind a bit.. it's your choice whether to go earlier or later |

At work, we had the idea of cron daemons. Cron would start them every 10 minutes, and they'd run for 15, with a lock that permitted only one process to wait. It means that if one dies, there'll soon be other instance. |
