11:34 drojf i hope i did not sound too demanding regarding the fork. :P
11:36 magnuse http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Ubuntu says "The current recommendation for Ubuntu is 12.04 LTS." Anyone know if that is still what we reccomend?
11:36 drojf no it's not
11:36 drojf the latest LTS, so 14…04 i think
11:36 magnuse yeah, that's what i would have thought too
11:37 drojf i wonder if we really need the debian plus the ubuntu page(s)
11:37 drojf more things to maintain
11:40 drojf i also wonder if we should use fundraising money (when we have that one day) to pay for wiki article cleaning. it's not really something we can do along the way, obviously. keeping stuff up to date or updating outdated technical stuff takes a lot of time. or we accept that a part of it is only usable for devs/insiders
11:45 drojf looking at the "switching to dom indexing" article, it took quite a few hours to find out how it actually works (because the outdated article did not help much) and rewrite it completely, so i had something i could point people to that needed to do that
11:47 drojf i would do that for other things too, but spending a day on an article to explain stuff i already know to the general public is not really something i have spare time for these days
11:47 magnuse yeah, it's hard to find the time...
11:49 cait BobB: sorry, was at lunch
11:55 cait but on the other hand... it doesn't take long and almost all of us can do it
11:55 cait so I would probably throw money at other things at first
11:56 drojf it can take quite long and it is not done now
11:56 cait i guess we will have discussions once there is moeny :)

16:22 gmcharlt and debian.koha-community.org now supports HTTPS, but is not yet HTTPS-only
16:22 drojf awesome! thanks!
16:23 gmcharlt I plan to make it so, but after confirming whether apt tools can handle the redirect
16:23 drojf when you put a ! after awesome, you don't have to pay for it. ha!
16:24 cait :)
16:24 cait gmcharlt++ again - more sites :)
16:28 tcohen gmcharlt: they can, i've noticed problems with root certificates once
16:28 drojf what is (or was) contribs.koha-community.org? it is in the list in the wiki, but not in the detailed list of who maintains what. and it is not available
16:28 tcohen so we need to check debian/ubuntu has the ca and root cert installed
16:28 cait contribs was never moved from the liblime servers i think
16:29 cait and not picked up by someone
16:29 drojf ok so there was a contribs.k*ha.org but never on k-c.org?
16:29 cait it hosted some additional things - i remember a few documents from there
16:29 gmcharlt tcohen: drojf: works for me, but I don't think we can mandate it
16:29 cait i think so
16:30 cbrannon joined #koha
16:30 drojf ok then i delete it from the wiki now
16:30 cait someone might still have a copy of the contents, not sure
16:30 gmcharlt because the apt-transport-https package must be installed first to use https apt repositories, at least on wheezy
16:31 drojf gmcharlt: yes we probably making that https-only is not a nice move then
16:31 drojf that "we" should not be there
16:31 gmcharlt yeah, I'm not doing it, as I prefer not to have the whole world knocking on my door tomorrow morning ;)
16:31 drojf its funny that is not a standard module in debian then
16:32 drojf lol
16:32 cbrannon Got a question for the room.  You know how you can create a dropdown list of items in a Koha report by doing something like i.homebranch=<<Library|branches>>, where branches creates that dropdown list?  Is there a list of these lists that can be used in reports somewhere?
16:32 gmcharlt drojf: it looks like the reasoning is that apt does enough on its own to verify the validity of packages, and that a HTTPS is not required for that prupose
16:33 drojf gmcharlt: given that apt uses gpg keys that is probably true. or at least was back in the days when certificates were expensive
16:35 drojf i can still use the wiki without https
16:36 pianohacker joined #koha
16:36 drojf ah i see. it redirects when you open the main url, but does not if you open an article directly
16:36 gmcharlt ah, I shall fix that then
16:36 drojf which may be due to the funny setup of mediawiki. not sure if mine does that right
16:36 gmcharlt and yeah, it's mediawki thing
16:38 gmcharlt drojf: fixed
16:40 drojf works for me, thanks gmcharlt!
16:48 drojf the apt-transport-https package is not standard in jessie either, just tried

19:31 rangi interesting if you do it it from here

19:32 rangi if you go to the page itself, without js

19:41 drojf yeah that would be cool. it's awesome the wiki is https only now. translate would be nice too
19:41 rangi ah yep

19:42 drojf onyl you got none because we talked about it anyway
19:42 drojf *only
19:43 drojf in the end i found the list of all domains… it's on the main wiki page so i did not find it with a search haha
19:43 drojf search in mediawiki sucks
19:43 rangi it really does
19:44 drojf i think it splits everything at " ". try finding a part of a word, nope
19:45 rangi in theory, we could index it with elasticsearch or something else, and search that, but that would be just more procrastinating so I don't have to write presentations
19:45 drojf lol yeah
19:45 cait heh
19:45 drojf speaking of which… what is the estimated time frage for ES in koha?
19:45 drojf frame even

19:46 bag heh

19:46 bag I think it is a very viable option for 3.24
19:46 cait but we need to get working on it :)
19:47 drojf ok so the catalyst branch obsolete?
19:47 drojf or are those synced in some way?
19:47 rangi they are currently the same
19:47 drojf (meaning, can i keep that vm or do i redo everything ^^)
19:48 drojf ok cool
19:48 rangi the catalyst branch was rebased on top of master, then that was pushed
19:48 rangi to git.koha-community.org
19:48 rangi because it was rebased, you'll probably need to do a fresh checkout anyway
19:49 drojf yeah, makes sense
