how was it? |

it was good. brain full. learnt some useful things, though managed to leave my notes from it at home today, so will have to do the revision tomorrow. |
22:45 |

heh |
22:46 |

also, I have an idea for a cool new feature if sponsorship can be arranged :) |
22:46 |

yeah ok I'll have another poke at it. |
22:47 |
|

i tested on top of the typo fixes for regexes |
22:47 |
|
wizzyrea |
I have a heap of stuff in the branch I'm testing on |
22:48 |
|
wizzyrea |
so I'll just have to back up and see what's gone wrong |
22:48 |
|
wizzyrea |
it could well be something else |
22:49 |
|
wizzyrea |
like the additional stuff for 14440 |
22:50 |
|
cait |
i think you can run the valid template test separately maybe |
22:50 |
|
cait |
not sure if it gives more information then |
22:51 |
|
cait |
hm maybe perl xt/tt_valid.t |
22:51 |
|
cait |
not sure if that is the right one |
22:51 |
|
wizzyrea |
yeah, it passes ok |
22:51 |
|

xt all passes. |
22:52 |

hm were there any conflicts? |

not on that one |

...that I remember, i've slept since then |
22:53 |

only once, but still. |
22:53 |
|

t passes too. this seems odd. |
22:53 |
|

the qa tools do some more things i guess |
22:53 |
|
cait |
bit lost here |
22:53 |
|
wizzyrea |
yeah it's alright |
22:54 |
|
wizzyrea |
I'll see if I can sort out what it's fussing about |
22:54 |
|
wizzyrea |
the answer might be that the qa tools are doing something silly that we don't allow anymore. |
22:54 |
|
wizzyrea |
but if it's not happening to you, then it may not be that. |
22:54 |
|
wizzyrea |
idk. whatever :P |

CONSTRAINT aqbasket_ibfk_4 FOREIGN KEY (branch) REFERENCES branches (branchcode) ON UPDATE CASCADE ON DELETE SET NULL does it matter that aqbasket_ibfk_4 here doesn't have the surrounding backticks? |
23:34 |
|
wizzyrea |
sorry if that's a ridiculous question. |
23:35 |
|
eythian |
the backticks only matter if there might be a reserved word or character there, I think. |
23:35 |
|
eythian |
(well, more correctly: they don't matter unless there is a reserved word/character there, afaik.) |
23:36 |
|
wizzyrea |
I keep having this problem where databases won't import because of this aqbasket table having an incorrectly formed foreign key constraint. The export is slightly different in this regard, but ugh I don't know enough about how it's supposed to be to know what the problem is |
23:37 |
|
wizzyrea |
export is different from the default kohastructure, that is. |
23:37 |
|
eythian |
the export will end up being a bit different, if only because upgrades aren't perfect. |
23:37 |
|
eythian |
Can you import it into a local database? |
23:38 |
|
wizzyrea |
yeah that's what I'm doing, actually. But it's happened both locally, and on various staging servers |
23:38 |
|
wizzyrea |
the only solution I've found |
23:38 |
|
wizzyrea |
is to drop the db entirely and import it fresh. |
23:39 |
|
wizzyrea |
I think I'd rather not do that. |
23:40 |
|
eythian |
well, that's sorta what the import does. |
23:40 |
|
eythian |
only, it does it table-by-table |
23:53 |
|
wizzyrea |
I suppose it's something to keep in mind for imports, theoretically you shouldn't be doing this on production servers. |
23:54 |
|
wizzyrea |
you have bigger problems if you're doing imports on production servers :P |
