<aude_c[m]> "Hi johnwaynechesterton , are you..." <- not using Koha atm. I am looking at the db schema for inspiration. I am working a very simple e-library for epubs from scratch for fun |
08:46 |
|
aude_c[m] |
Ah ok. I mentioned using authorities because you would have an authid |
08:46 |
|
aude_c[m] |
But not all libraries use authorities. In that case they'll tend to run reports on the biblio.author field |
08:47 |
|
aude_c[m] |
It's not perfect, as you can imagine - it depends on the quality of their bibliographic records |
08:50 |

Hi, did anyone stumble upon the problem that in 23.05 subscriptions can't be created because of a HTTP 500 and the message "[WARN] DBIx::Class::ResultSetColumn::new(): Attempting to retrieve non-unique column 'biblionumber' on a resultset containing one-to-many joins will return duplicate results. at /usr/share/koha/lib/Koha/Objects.pm line 421"? I found a bug with this error message |

Sorry, now again: We have the problem in 23.05 that subscriptions can't be created because of an HTTP 500 and a message "Control fields (generally, just tags below 010) do not have subfields, use data() at /usr/share/koha/lib/Koha/Object/Mixin/AdditionalFields.pm line 68." in the plack error log. |

09:26 |

09:36 |

Joubu |
did you just create the additional field? |
09:36 |
|
Joubu |
or just upgraded Koha? (in that case it would be a regression) |
09:37 |
|
anke_b[m] |
@Joubu I am not sure when exactly the librarians created the additional field, but very probably that was some time ago. The moment from which the subscription didn't work was after the upgrade from 22.05 to 23.05. |

12:55 |
|
kidclamp |
CreateQueue POD:Top level function that turns reserves into tmp_holdsqueue and hold_fill_targets. |
12:56 |
|
cait |
yes, I ran into that one... but far from unerstanding it |
12:57 |
|
kidclamp |
AddToHoldTargetMap puts the mapped items into hold_fill_targets / CreatePicklistFromItemMap puts them into the tmp_holdsqueue |
12:57 |
|
cait |
it's confusing code |
12:58 |
|
ashimema |
confusing code in koha... never |
12:59 |
|
kidclamp |
I am guessing here - it looks like tmp_holdsqueue was the table used for circ/view_holdqueue |
13:00 |
|
kidclamp |
it adds patron information etc - so I think the design was hold_fill_targets is for checking which on e should fill, and was a lighter table - and tmp_holdqueue was for display withmore info |
13:00 |
|
kidclamp |
but as khall mentioned, ask srdjan |
13:02 |

srdjan is not really around I think |

I feel like typing at least 2 characters to show suggestions coming from an async request is fairly standard behavior is it not? Probably misunderstanding the thing here! |
14:16 |

PedroAmorim[m] |
if you're searching for something in particular in a universe of hundreds of thousands records, you're likely not getting anything relevant before at least 2 characters, likely more than that |

yes, but it's at least 2 characters, meaning the more you type, the better the results, but you get something as soon as 2 characters |

32474 is the way, but we need to fix the funky behaviours |

kidclamp: 34188 - "1. Why Forced* instead of Force*?" |
14:25 |
|
oleonard |
Good point Joubu, "Force" does sound more consistent with similar prefs |
14:39 |
|
kidclamp |
We can make that change joubu |
14:40 |

I agree |

oleonard: is it hard to only show columsn with datatables when there is data? |
14:43 |
|
cait |
thinking about item holds and date due in the holdings table in opac |
14:43 |
|
oleonard |
cait: I've never tried it. I don't know if there is a DataTables-specific way to do it |
14:48 |
|
cait |
hm we have some tables with columns appearing/disappearing depending on prefs... maybe could have a look there |
14:48 |
|
cait |
it would probably be not that different? setting a flag and using it like the pref |
14:48 |
|
cait |
datatables config scares me a little |
14:51 |
|
oleonard |
cait: Just wait til you try Bug 34913 ;) |
14:51 |
|
huginn |
Bug https://bugs.koha-community.or[…]_bug.cgi?id=34913 is not accessible. |
14:52 |
|
oleonard |
...which is ready for testing unless folks would like me to break it up into smaller chunks |
14:52 |
|
cait |
oh my |
14:52 |
|
cait |
yeah I'll wait - i missed that one |
14:53 |
|
cait |
do we have a list of plugins we need to check too? (compatibility or so?) |
14:54 |
|
oleonard |
I don't know about that |
14:55 |
|
cait |
was thinking lke the export... column configs and such |
14:56 |
|
oleonard |
Oh right... "Test all the things" is all I can say! |
14:56 |
|
cait |
sounds fun |
14:56 |
|
cait |
but maybe next week's fun :) |
14:57 |
|
cait |
have a great weekend all! |
14:57 |
|
oleonard |
BUT I can write detailed and specific test plans if that is preferable. It's basically "check every DataTable and make sure it works like it used to" |
14:57 |
|
cait |
hehe |
14:57 |
|
cait |
submit as you think is best |
14:57 |
|
cait |
i wonder if we need to keep it in security - easier to get the sign-offs otherweise |
14:58 |
|
cait |
maybe we could ask a few people and add them tot he bugs manually |
14:58 |
|
cait |
have to go! :) |

I do that all the time.. those blocks really shouldn't need a publish date |
18:28 |
|
oleonard |
I think there are some that do, but I think we need more hints for the user that the content will be hidden without it |
18:29 |

Ho, is there |
18:29 |
|
ashimema |
I thought all were dated |
18:31 |
|
oleonard |
I think there's a good case for being able to pre-fill a block for display later in the month for instance. I could plan ahead and set something for display 1 Oct through 31 Oct |

thomas63: I don't recall seeing an email from the general Koha mailing list - was this recently? |
19:37 |
|

also, greetings from Otago! |
19:38 |
|
thomas63[m] |
yesterday, maybe it was a wrong mail address |
19:38 |
|
thomas63[m] |
I used kohalists.katipo.co.nz |
19:41 |
|
davidnind |
that is the right address for the General Koha Mailing list, but you need to be a subscriber (which I assume is the case) (https://lists.katipo.co.nz/pipermail/koha/) |
19:41 |
|
thomas63[m] |
I got an automated answer stating: "Is being held until the list moderator can review it for approval." |
19:41 |
|
thomas63[m] |
no, I am not a subscriber |
19:42 |

I'm not sure who moderates that list, but I'll assume it will come through when it has been moderated |

subscribing to the mail list needs the same moderator to act 😎 |

normally you get a message to confirm your subscription, then you can post to the mailing list without moderation - maybe the configuration has changed.... |
