Question for the room: Does it put a huge load on the server to have e-mail cron jobs run more frequently? My thought is that the more it runs, the less it has to process each time. We've changed our frequency from every hour to every 15 minutes a couple months ago, and have not seen an impact on performace so far. |

CrispyBran: our e-mail cron is also set for every 15 minutes and we've been running like that for a year (a year tomorrow actually) and we've had no problems with latency or other issues. It might be wise to use caution to increase the frequency to less than 15 minutes in case another cron job gets hung up or takes longer than normal to run. |
