19:35 robb_nl Hi room.... I want to install koha (latest) on a NethServer7 server (CentOS7) are there any packages available for CentOS7? or should I install using the tarball?
19:36 jcamins robb_nl: there are no RPMs.
19:37 jcamins So I think you're stuck with tarball.
19:38 robb_nl ok... I will see how it will end up. I am pushing NethServer towards an educational server and maybe koha can be part of the modules.
19:39 jcamins If you packaged Koha as an RPM, a lot of people would be happy about it, I think.
19:50 robb_nl If I can add koha as a module for NethServer, it will be an RPM, but I don't know if it will work of default CentOS/Fedora/RHEL... NethServer uses a templating system that is not default CentOS...
19:50 robb_nl But I will see how far I come...
19:51 jcamins robb_nl: at least you'll get the community closer, then. :)
19:52 robb_nl sure... I just stubled into koha today.... and it looks promising... ideal for school libraries
19:53 robb_nl btw... is it possible to distribute e-books with koha?
19:55 jcamins Depending on what you want to do, maybe.
20:05 robb_nl jcamins, for the latest version, is there a manual how to install from tarball?... I have an older manual, which talks about running but after extracting the tarball that script is not there...
20:06 jcamins I've never heard of that script.
20:06 jcamins What manual are you looking at?
20:07 jcamins I'd look at https://wiki.koha-community.or[…]3.22_on_Fedora_23 as the closest you're likely to get.
20:07 jcamins With the proviso that that's kind of old.
20:11 jcamins Oh, I found it. I recommend against following anything that requires you to download a "custom" version of an open source project from a blog. ;)
20:14 jcamins Good luck!
21:09 robb_nl jcamins, thnx for the info... I am following https://wiki.koha-community.or[…]tos_6.3_x86_64_en and adapting to CentOS7 and using latest packages that are mentioned for install...
21:09 robb_nl loads of CPAN packages to install tho...
