12:31 tcohen \o
12:38 marcelr any brave people here wanna test bug 32334 ?
12:38 huginn 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=32334 enhancement, P5 - low, ---, m.de.rooy, Needs Signoff , Sync comments in database with schema
12:39 marcelr tcohen: bug 32399 ?
12:39 huginn 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=32399 major, P5 - low, ---, m.de.rooy, Signed Off , Database update for bug 30483 is failing
12:40 tcohen marcelr: will take a look, thanks
12:40 tcohen missing the QA team this week
12:40 marcelr i will qa tomorrow
12:41 tcohen I'm rushing with things that have strings, for 22.11
12:41 marcelr is there a new priority list ?
12:41 tcohen nop
12:41 tcohen e
12:41 marcelr or just 22_11 keyword
12:41 tcohen we are settled for the security release (your patches)
12:41 marcelr ok
12:46 tcohen davidnind: I'm seeing this too often Signed-off-by: David <david@davidnind.com>
12:58 tcohen marcelr: there are some fun random failures on jenkins if you feel adventurous
13:13 cait1 tcohen: we have fixed it now
13:13 cait1 I had the same problem, it was a bug
13:13 cait1 in ktd
13:14 marcelr       davidnind++
13:14 marcelr i cant see your signoff line enough :)
13:14 cait1 https://gitlab.com/koha-community/koha-testing-docker/-/issues/99
13:15 tcohen I'm aware :-D
13:15 tcohen :-P
13:15 cait1 ah ok... so you were seriously complaining about the number of David's sign-offs?
13:16 tcohen I'm just saying once we noticed, we could amend
13:16 tcohen I've done it myself anyway, just mentioning in case some adjustment is still required
13:20 tcohen marcelr: about 32399, I'm confused it fixes a 2206XX db_rev but needs a backport?
13:20 tcohen (to 22.05, that's it)
13:20 tcohen oh, they backported it...
13:21 tcohen can you provide a 22.05 patch?
13:21 tcohen it feels like a 22.05-only bug
13:22 tcohen as 22.11 is supposed not to support MariaDB 10.1
13:37 marcelr tcohen: the dbrev is cleaner so I would adjust it; I can assist RMaint for backporting no problem
13:40 tcohen marcelr: thanks
14:18 ashimema 🙂
14:20 ashimema interesting.. 'Release maintanence' on the wiki doesn't talk about sending out the email for translators..
14:20 ashimema is that not still a thing for maint branches?
14:20 ashimema ah.. my bad.. I just missed it
14:20 ashimema it's right at the top.. not in the expected place
14:22 tcohen ashimema
14:22 tcohen        ++
14:22 tcohen        ashimema++
14:22 tcohen tidy all the things, all the time
14:37 ashimema 🙂
14:44 marcelr       thx tcohen++
14:50 caroline any ES experts around? I'd like to understand how indexing and sorting works... I have a client who is complaining that the title in 240$a is sorted before the title in 245$a. Both are indexed in the "title" index in their system. The example they gave me is the book "It" by Stephen King. There is "It" in 240$a and "Ça" (the french title) in 245$a. When sorting by title, it is somehow sorted in the I's instead of the C's.
14:51 caroline [off] also, for any nostalgics, behold their OPAC... I feel like I'm back in geocities in 1998 XD https://victoriaville.koha.collecto.ca/cgi-bin/koha/opac-ISBDdetail.pl?biblionumber=8913723
14:52 ashimema lol
14:52 ashimema we just wrote a blog post about how to do things like that 😜
14:52 ashimema not indexing.. snow
14:53 caroline Please don't spread this! lol!
14:53 ashimema lol
14:55 caroline I'm a grinch...My colleagues find this festive, I find it annoying as hell hehe
14:59 ashimema haha
15:37 cait1 caroline: could you mark 240 as being 'not sortable" maybe?
15:38 caroline cait1, in the yaml file, it's already set as sort: ~
15:38 caroline 245 is set as sort: 1
15:38 cait1 hm i woudl have guessed that woudl do it
15:38 cait1 coudl another field in title be to blame?
15:39 caroline maybe... I can maybe query the title index for that biblionumber
15:49 oleonard Bootstrap 5 is making me mad.
15:55 thd tcohen: Are you present?
15:56 pastebot "caroline" at 127.0.0.1 pasted "In the title index, It (in 240$a) comes before Ça (in 245$a)" (16 lines) at https://paste.koha-community.org/406
15:56 caroline I tried to put 245$a first in the yaml file, but it doesn't make a difference
15:57 caroline (unless I missed a step, I reindexed with -d and -r)
16:12 reiveune bye
16:28 * cait1 sends cookies to oleonard
16:28 cait1 something specific?
16:30 oleonard I'm trying Bootstrap 5 in the staff interface, and I'm trying to do things the "right" way, using SASS variables to customize Bootstrap components.
16:30 oleonard The Bootstrap variables are not well documented :(
16:32 cait1 :(
16:36 oleonard I'm getting there, slowly.
16:36 oleonard But I don't know how to do a staff interface Bootstrap upgrade smoothly.
16:48 ashimema Everyone send cookies to oleonard, that's an awesome but if ambition right there..
16:50 ashimema If you need manpower on it oleonard, shout. I'm sure this is something new Devs would happily munch on
16:50 * caroline sends cookies and hugs to oleonard
16:50 oleonard ashimema: I'm more worried about the approval process than I am the work at the moment
16:51 oleonard Not sure how to do it other than in one ridiculous big batch of changes
16:52 ashimema Yeah, I can't see a way around it..
16:52 ashimema Backports could be 'fun' for a while as soon as that's pushed
17:04 caroline For my elasticsearch question, after testing I came to the conclusion that the indexer parses the record from top to bottom, so marc fields with lower numbers (e.g. 240) are indexed before higher numbers (i.e. 245). I can't confirm 100% since I don't know the backend, but I did several tests and the record is always indexed in the same order
17:23 caroline Probably also related to kidclamp's explanation in bug 18827 regarding multivalues
17:23 huginn 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=18827 normal, P5 - low, ---, nick, NEW , Elasticsearch mappings - not displayed or retrieved in saved order
17:26 kidclamp caroline: try making only the 245 marked as sortable
17:27 caroline kidclamp, that's already how it is
17:28 caroline It was cait's suggestion too (and the client's) but it doesn't change anything
17:28 caroline I deduced that the sort is on the index and not the field itself
17:29 kidclamp what if you make the sort '0'
17:29 caroline ah! I will try
17:37 caroline ooh yes it worked! thanks kidclamp!
17:37 caroline what is sort: ~ then?
17:38 kidclamp cruft :-)
19:05 kidclamp https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=27316
19:05 huginn 04Bug 27316: minor, P5 - low, ---, fridolin.somers, CLOSED FIXED, In mappings use yes/no for sortable
19:05 kidclamp caroline: ^^
19:06 caroline      kidclamp++
19:07 caroline Do you think that we should change the mappings.yaml file, to replace de ~ by 0?
19:08 kidclamp not a bad idea
19:08 caroline I'll file a bug and submit something when I have the time
