00:04 mtj hum, i thik ./t/lib/QA/TemplateFilters.pm needs to be patched to handle 'trim' filter
00:36 mtj tcohen: i made a fix - bug 31883 ^
00:36 huginn`           Bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=31883 critical, P1 - high, ---, mtj, Needs Signoff , t::lib::QA::TemplateFilters missing built-in TT filter "trim" causes false warnings
02:16 dcook Hmm looks like Bugzilla might be struggling...
02:48 afperth hi there, we have been using KOHA since 2006 and the main box situated in Canberra alliance francaise de Perth has broken down. we need to access our data and will need a my cloud address to be able to retrieve it without the vblack box please. our email address is Reception@afperth.com.au
02:53 mtj hi afperth, do you host your own koha? or have someone else do that?
02:54 mtj aah, koha is located and admined by AF canberra
02:57 mtj afperth: have you tried contacting whoever admins your koha system?
03:18 afperth Good morning, we have tried contacting canberra and they said that the black box is broken and that we can't access the server anymore ;-( I am trying to find a way to access it whithout this box?!
03:45 afperth can you help us please?
03:48 afperth or is there any way that you could send us by email all our Perth data recoded (7000 items ) on an excel documents so we can import it somewhere else?
03:53 mtj hi afperth, i can try to help
03:56 mtj afperth: i sent you a message
04:00 mtj afperth: its unlikely that someone here can send you your data, as no one has access to that system
04:00 mtj but someone may be able to help the AF to get access to the system (and data)
04:01 mtj (i also have to head out in 30 mins too)
04:02 afperth how can we access it? without the black box? is there an adress?
04:02 mtj afperth: at this stage, you know more about your system than we do
04:02 afperth my phone does not allow me to call outside Australia!
04:03 afperth is there someone I could contact?
04:04 mtj you need to find out the contact person for your system
04:05 afperth the problem is the contact has changed so many times!!
04:07 mtj hmm, that specific problem we cant help you with
04:11 mtj afperth: i would send a group email within AF, asking for help and information
04:12 afperth every other alliance have given up and starting recording individual items on another system unfortunately!
04:15 mtj aah ok
04:17 mtj wel... if the system is physically located in canberra, try getting someone in canberra to help
04:18 mtj AF canberra probably employ someone to admin their computer systems
04:19 mtj try getting some advice from them ^
04:19 mtj ask them to access this support channel for help
04:22 mtj afperth: hokay, i need to go now :0)
04:22 afperth they used to pay someone but now they don't want to spend anymore money ans also the black box is broken anyway! so nobody can access anything anymore
06:00 dcook @bug 31732
06:00 dcook Bah..
06:01 dcook afperth: Are you still around?
06:01 huginn` dcook: An error has occurred and has been logged. Please contact this bot's administrator for more information.
06:02 dcook @later tell afperth I work over at Prosentient Systems. We could help look into this for you.
06:02 huginn` dcook: The operation succeeded.
06:03 dcook I've been meaning to get in touch with Alliance francaise personally so no time like the present..
06:03 reiveune hello
06:05 fridolin h
06:05 fridolin ah bugzilla is busy ?

06:14 marcelr hi #koha
06:17 fridolin ahhh back Bug 31810
06:17 huginn` Bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=31810 minor, P5 - low, ---, koha-bugs, Signed Off , Place hold button should be yellow
06:40 alex_ Bonjour
06:41 marcelr o/
07:22 cait good morning #koha!
07:25 marcelr hi cait
07:38 cait hello
07:58 ashimema Morning
08:05 marcelr hi ashimema
08:14 marcelr whats happening with attaching bugs to Bugzilla ?
08:14 marcelr codec errors etc
08:15 marcelr UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode character u'\xa0' in position 361: ordinal not in range(128)
08:15 ashimema humm..
08:15 ashimema I hadn't noticed yet
08:15 marcelr try git bz attach
08:20 fridolin a small issue but fix very useful Bug 31887
08:20 huginn` Bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=31887 normal, P5 - low, ---, fridolin.somers, Needs Signoff , Search on MARC field does not work in Elasticsearch mappings table
08:20 fridolin for Elasticers ;)
08:21 ashimema works OK for me marcelr
09:02 marcelr thx ashimema i saw that davidnind reported the problem too
09:02 marcelr so there must be something?
09:03 davidnind[m] I'm fine signing off other bugs, so maybe something with that specific bug
09:03 marcelr ok
09:04 marcelr after i tried that particular one, i had issue with other patches too
09:04 marcelr but i refreshed the container now
09:04 marcelr will try again
09:05 marcelr yeah same issue again
09:05 davidnind[m] I did a git pull for KTD, and a docker-compose pull as well, but it made no difference - still had the error
09:06 ashimema oh.. this is inside ktd is it?
09:07 marcelr no in my own dev container
09:07 davidnind[m] yes for me
09:07 marcelr it is bug 31883
09:07 huginn`           Bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=31883 normal, P1 - high, ---, mtj, Failed QA , t::lib::QA::TemplateFilters missing built-in TT filter "trim" causes false warnings
09:07 marcelr it has a unicode issue somewhere
09:08 ashimema okies
09:09 ashimema wierd...
09:09 ashimema there's some funk in the subject of the patch
09:09 ashimema Subject: [PATCH] =?UTF-8?q?Bug=C2=A031883:=20t::lib::QA::TemplateFilters?=... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/fhdSunlOLpiFGFHJAquPxkEa>)
09:10 ashimema never seen that sort of thing before
09:10 marcelr i will try to fetch it manually and remove the cruft
09:14 marcelr hmm kind of stubborn thing, i removed the whole title.. but to no avail yet
09:17 ashimema dang
09:17 ashimema annoying
09:19 marcelr he solved
09:19 marcelr it is a git bz issue with unicode cruft on the Bugzilla title and attachment name
09:20 ashimema erm..
09:20 ashimema it just worked first time for me.. lol
09:20 ashimema I have no idea why
09:20 davidnind[m]      marcelr++
09:20 marcelr version differences?
09:22 ashimema maybe..
09:23 marcelr ashimema you are interfering
09:23 marcelr now i have the issue again
09:23 ashimema ?
09:24 ashimema ☹️
09:24 marcelr i will remove your stuff
09:24 ashimema ok
09:25 marcelr ashimema: could you forget the former patch and add a qa stamp on the current(!!!) one ?
09:26 ashimema sure
09:27 marcelr great
09:31 Joubu bz attach with and without -e behave differently with the unicode issue IIRC
09:32 marcelr ok i should have tried
09:33 ashimema oh.. i never use -e
09:33 marcelr           and i do: git bz attach -e -n $1 HEAD;
09:34 marcelr so thats the cause
09:34 * ashimema should try the puthon3 branch some time soon
09:36 marcelr With -e, allows editing of the attachments on the listed bug
09:36 marcelr which also contained the unicode
09:37 marcelr bbl
09:42 AFperth I have spoken witha few people before because we can't access our library data!! the admin is in Canberra Perth and the person in charged has quit and the black box attached to koha is broken. therefore we can't access our data anymore. can someone tell me how we can retrieve it please?
10:20 paulderscheid[m] morning all
10:24 oleonard o/
10:34 mtj hi folks, im curious about the gbz attach unicode problems too...
10:35 mtj the problem seems to be a recent thing for me
10:36 mtj i havent done any big upgrades on my dev box in along time
10:37 Joubu it's not a recent problem, it has always been there
10:37 mtj hmm, ok
10:37 ashimema it's why I stopped using -e nearly a decade ago and never looked back I think.
10:38 ashimema i pretty much never got into the habbit of using -e because it worked so infrequently for me
10:38 cait I am constantly using -e
10:38 cait don't have any issues usually
10:38 ashimema I think it got better, but never 100%
10:38 oleonard I just use it because I was told to 100 years ago and I never even knew why
10:38 ashimema I'm in the habbit of looking at bz to add comments myself
10:38 cait it brings up the edit
10:38 cait so you can obsolete and set patch difficulty
10:39 ashimema it auto-obsoletes anyway
10:39 ashimema without -e
10:39 mtj i have an alias to use -e always too
10:39 ashimema so long as patch names match.. which they usually will
10:39 ashimema I can't set 'obsolete' tags on comments via -e (which would be nice)
10:39 cait yeah, but I often do clean-up stuff
10:39 ashimema and I tend to go to the bug on bz to check it uploaded OK then add my comment
10:40 ashimema so -e doesn't win me anything in my workflow
10:40 ashimema I really really really wish there was a way to hide all the 'this was attached' comments..
10:40 ashimema they drive me mad
10:41 * magnuse never had issues with -e, but uses bz way too infrequently...
10:41 magnuse if i have a catalogue where some records have "place of publication" in 260a and some have it in 264a, and i want to get both into biblio.copyrightdate, should it work to simply map both marc fields to that db field in admin/koha2marclinks.pl?
10:45 cait I hope so :)
10:45 Joubu ashimema: The comments with patches that have been obsoleted are obsoleted (cronjob IIRC), and so are folded
10:48 ashimema I've been doing it manually for ages.. I don't see it happen otherwise
10:48 ashimema so maybe there's a cronjob that's dead?
10:48 cait maybe you are too fast for the cron :)
10:48 * cait heads into a 2 hour meeting.... wish me luck
10:48 cait :)
10:48 Joubu doing manually?
10:49 oleonard I thought I remembered the comments being obsoleted automatically at one time but it has been ages since it worked
10:49 oleonard I thought I asked rangi[m] about it at one time but maybe I misremember
10:50 ashimema as in I go through every bloody comment and add the 'obsolete' tag to it..
10:50 Joubu There was that as well, but haven't tried it since... https://pastebin.com/c99G9KgG
10:50 ashimema so I can actually read the comments
10:53 * ashimema has recently switched to firefox.. any tips on which extension for using userscripts like that one Joubu ?
10:53 Joubu Greasemonkey
11:05 ashimema ta
11:13 magnuse cait: you hope admin/koha2marclinks.pl should work the way i hope?
11:22 cait magnuse: yes
11:22 cait we map them too
11:36 magnuse cait: doesn't seem to work for me
11:36 oleonard ashimema: Did you mention the other day you were getting 404 errors from the api?
11:37 ashimema Er.. don't think that was me
11:37 ashimema It sometimes means the spec files are stuffed
11:37 ashimema That where I usually start looking. Tail the logs
11:50 oleonard Thanks ashimema, I had downgraded Mojolicious for testing an older Koha
11:50 ashimema Haha, been there, done that
11:50 tcohen o/
12:03 cait magnuse: hm we didn't use the script, we relaoded the data (one advantage if you are using a union catalogue)
12:05 magnuse cait: ah, and this is an early stage of a migration, so i think we just see what happens next time we load the data
12:13 tcohen hola Joubu cait ashimema oleonard magnuse mtj
12:13 oleonard o/
12:13 magnuse \o/
12:38 tcohen thd: do you think we need gmcharlt for the last wiki backup?
12:38 * tcohen wants to prepare for the transitiotn next week
12:38 cait confetti!
12:38 wahanui o/`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`
12:38 cait super happy
12:45 marcelr o/
12:46 marcelr hmm why does EmbedItemsInMarcBiblio use append_fields for 952 ?
12:46 marcelr now it is 999 952
12:47 marcelr hmm even more fun
12:47 marcelr git grep EmbedItemsInMarcBiblio C4/Biblio.pm: EmbedItemsInMarcBiblio
12:47 marcelr exported but not existing ?
12:49 tcohen marcelr: we are phasing that out in favour of the REcordProcessor filter
12:49 marcelr ha Koha::Item::_embed_items still does it
12:49 marcelr append
12:49 ashimema Man the UK is such a mess
12:50 tcohen that was an oversight from when I pushed Joubu's stuff
12:50 tcohen ashimema and I are working on getting rid of it on bug 31224
12:50 marcelr do you fix it or should I
12:50 huginn`           Bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=31224 normal, P5 - low, ---, martin.renvoize, ASSIGNED , Koha::Biblio::Metadata->record should use the EmbedItems filter
12:51 marcelr the routine was refactored into Koha objects
12:51 marcelr i'll let you fix it there
12:51 tcohen marcelr: fix it if you think it is worth
12:51 tcohen the other dev is big and will take more time
12:52 marcelr no i added a comment on 31224
12:52 marcelr it wont crash Koha now
12:53 tcohen LOL
12:53 marcelr but i would like the insert_ordered instead of append_fields though to remove 999 952 in marcxml
12:54 marcelr looks a bit silly
12:54 SupportLibrary[m] Hello. Greetings from Bulgaria.
12:54 marcelr hi SupportLibrary[m]
12:54 * cait waves from Germany
12:55 ashimema Hi
12:55 wahanui hola, ashimema
12:55 * tcohen waves from Argentina
12:55 tcohen ashimema: what's wrong with the UK now?
12:55 * ashimema sadly waves from the mess that is the UK right now
12:56 ashimema Prime minister just quit after a shockingly bad 44 days of being in power
12:57 marcelr ah she left already
12:57 marcelr and now boris again? :)
12:57 ashimema I can't really remember the last time I felt we had a functioning parliament/government.. the coalition 12 years ago maybe?
12:58 ashimema Who knows.. British politics is like watching a poorly funded soap right now.. one mess to another
12:58 marcelr King Charles will stand up now !
12:58 marcelr and rule the country
12:58 ashimema Haha,
12:59 ashimema I wouldn't rule anything out right now
13:00 marcelr how large is her departure bonus btw ?
13:00 marcelr its a good investment
13:00 SupportLibrary[m] I'm part of a team of enthusiasts and we've been using Koch for a while now at our local library. If it doesn't sound stupid, I would like to ask about a solution to a problem we encountered. It's about editing a record, and specifically when pressing the Settings button, if pushed to disable change framework option
13:02 marcelr tcohen: i might add a tiny patch to replace append_fields if 31224 takes much time
13:41 caroline_catlady SupportLibrary[m], can you elaborate on your problem? you click the Settings button to change the frameowrk and then what happens?
13:50 SupportLibrary[m] When i click this button i want to hide or remove "change the framework" because if i change the framework some fields disappear
13:51 SupportLibrary[m] Example: If I edit a book and change the template to this for example for a CD. If there are fields missing from the CD template but not from the book template, the information that was there will disappear
14:37 marcelr easy signoff? bug 31889
14:37 huginn` Bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=31889 normal, P5 - low, ---, m.de.rooy, Needs Signoff , Insert 952 tags in correct order when embedding items
14:38 marcelr bbl
14:55 reiveune bye
15:19 caroline SupportLibrary[m], I don't think there is a way to remove the button or the option. However, I suggest changing your frameworks so that the hidden fields are in an actual tab (not the ignore tab) and the Editor checkbox is unchecked. That way, the information will not be lost if you change frameworks, but the field will not be visible in the editor
15:19 caroline I don't know if that makes sense?
15:20 caroline I you really want to hide the option, I guess you could do it with the InranertUserCSS or IntranetUserJS system preference
15:22 caroline trying to clarify my hidden field explanation... 'ignore' tab will remove the information from the record, but 'Editor' checkbox will only hide the field from the editing form
15:22 caroline (maybe I'm just being more confusing, if so, I apologize!!)
15:53 cait caroline: are you the one to ask to grap the de-DE po files from translate for 22.05 manual?
15:54 cait caroline: i think we had a process, but I forgot it again and it would be great to get the manual on the website updated
15:54 cait grap=grab
15:54 caroline not sure what the process is... ashimema maybe?

18:41 davidnind[m] here is the wiki page I wrote a while ago on the process for translating the manual https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Documentation_management#Translating_the_manual
18:42 davidnind[m] still not sure what is for steps 5 and 6
18:43 davidnind[m] so maybe I should send a message to koha-translate mailing list/translation manager to clarify?
18:49 caroline I love that one of the steps is "magic happens" XD
