04:21 wajasu thx. i can see that when things are shutdown, they check for patrons and if any are loaded they detect a non-empty db.

04:23 wajasu i also just tested my placker build for debian11, koha-common, and installation steps. it booted.

04:26 wajasu it takes 25 minutes to build a qcow2 kvm image. so i can use it with libvirt/virt-manager/cockpit

04:28 wajasu i found that i can push the 3.5Gish "image" to linode. on a nano box.(1cpu, 1G ram, 25Gdisk)
04:29 wajasu then I can create a linode for debian11 with their webui

04:30 wajasu delete the root device disk (/dev/sda that is 25G).
04:30 wajasu create a new /dev/sda disk that is 25G, and use the 3.5G image I had pushed earlier from the dropdown.
04:31 wajasu it builds and resizes the 3.5G filesystem inside to 25G. and thenI can boot a new koha server
04:32 wajasu this way i dont have to copy 25GB disk images up and down.
04:33 wajasu i can build on my local box. and use identical for kvm libvirt qcow2 VMs.
04:34 wajasu also I have apt-cacher-ng locally and all the packages are cached after the 1st pull.
04:34 wajasu PACKER_CACHE_DIR=/mnt/mycache/packer in my environment will cache the large ISOs (debian, etc).
