12:18 cait I wante dto ask people to update the wiki maybe with their projects?

13:35 caroline_catlady How's everyone?
13:38 wizzyrea good morning
13:38 wizzyrea how is everyone

14:53 corilynn isn't there a way to see what bugs have been applied to a koha instance?
14:53 cait one of the sandboxes or your own?
14:54 corilynn sandbox
14:54 cait one of the new ones?
14:54 cait look for the git log
14:55 cait Logs > koha git log
14:55 cait the last one
14:55 wahanui the last one is pretty new
14:55 cait when martin pushes, he adds a sign-off line... so all the patches that don't have that shoudl be the ones appleid by you
14:55 cait on the one you got currently it looks like plain master
14:56 cait http://sb1.sandboxes.bywatersolutions.com/git_log/cori
14:56 corilynn yeah, it's not even letting me login
14:56 cait ah interesting
14:56 cait may i try?
14:56 corilynn please
14:56 cait ah right
14:56 cait you need a different logi/pass to run the web installer
14:56 cait i think you seleted without sample data or something
14:57 cait try koha_<nameofinstance> /password
14:57 cait that's the 'db user'
14:57 corilynn weird
14:57 corilynn i've never had that happen before
14:58 corilynn error: DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet' bytes at /usr/share/perl5/DBIx/RunSQL.pm line 273.
14:58 cait oh
14:58 cait which step?
14:58 cait khall: around?
14:59 corilynn "Web installer › Set up database"
14:59 corilynn what I'd like is a post- 18.05.xx installation
15:00 cait what did you enter on setting it up? a branch?
15:00 corilynn i entered nothing
15:01 reiveune bye
15:01 corilynn there's some thought that after 16232 that advanced cataloging doesn't load
15:02 cait I am not sure why it didn#t create the sample data as it usually does
15:02 corilynn when I put 16232 in the bug #, then the sandbox doesn't work, and if I leave it blank (current master) it has the db installation issue as above
15:03 cait maybe did you do a 'clear database' action?
15:03 corilynn i did not
15:03 cait hm
15:03 cait it might be a sandbox issue, not sure
15:04 corilynn probably
15:04 wahanui i heard probably was too hard.
15:05 alex_a corilynn, the editor loads after 16232. But it adds a undefined save backend that conflict with 18823
15:05 corilynn yes, that's what I've been saying, so you have to adjust 18823 to account for this
15:06 alex_a corilynn, you don't need to add 16232, it is already in master
15:06 corilynn ok
15:06 alex_a You are trying on a sandbox ?
15:06 corilynn i was, yes
15:06 corilynn i was trying to get "master" working on a sandbox, that had 16232 installed
15:11 cait bye all
15:19 corilynn ugh,
15:20 corilynn i have a 19.05 version that won't load the advanced cataloging editor at all

15:26 kidclamp check the keyboard shortcuts table, is it there?
15:26 kidclamp did the database get updated?
15:27 corilynn did the database get updated when?
15:27 kidclamp when upgraed to 19.05?
15:27 corilynn i created a new 19.05
15:27 corilynn i didn't upgrade
15:28 kidclamp it should be intserted with manadatory data in 19.05
15:28 corilynn ok, i didn't uncheck anything
15:28 kidclamp SELECT * FROM keyboard_shortcuts
15:30 corilynn empty set
15:30 corilynn (kidclamp)
15:34 kidclamp yeah, that's bad
15:34 corilynn i created a bug
15:35 corilynn bug 23396
15:35 huginn` Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=23396 major, P5 - low, ---, koha-bugs, NEW , Rancor fails to load: insert_copyright is not defined
15:44 corilynn also, kidclamp, I don't know if you saw this, but the Sandboxes appear to be broken as well :(
15:44 corilynn http://sb1.sandboxes.bywatersolutions.com/
16:13 tcohen has anyone used Test::NoWarnings
17:37 corilynn oleonard, can you point me to a script to populate the missing data for 19.05?
17:40 oleonard http://git.koha-community.org/gitweb/?p=koha.git;a=blob;f=installer/data/mysql/mandatory/keyboard_shortcuts.sql;h=604fc6ff94f97964123a56293102a6c1faca3fa7;hb=HEAD
17:41 corilynn thanks, man
17:41 oleonard ...I assume, based on your conversation with kidclamp
17:41 corilynn you also updated the bug
17:41 kidclamp yeah, we are just missing that script listed in C4/Installer
17:41 kidclamp I had, incorrectly, assumed we just grabbed anything in that dir
18:59 oleonard See y'all later
19:11 caroline_catlady corilynn: are you a cataloguing expert?
19:11 corilynn ummm "expert" is a interesting word
19:11 corilynn I know a lot of cataloging stuff
19:12 caroline_catlady hehe! I was just wondering if you knew if there was a marc field to indicate that a serial is not published anymore
19:12 caroline_catlady I've been looking in 3XX and 5XX and not finding anything
19:12 corilynn i thought it was in the leader
19:13 caroline_catlady so there is not free text field?
19:13 corilynn there should be... but I haven't done serials since my internship
19:14 caroline_catlady ok thanks, I'll keep looking
19:17 corilynn weird, the documentation for 260 has stuff about the end date, but not 264
19:17 corilynn https://www.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/bd260.html (search "For serials" under the $c subfield)
19:19 caroline_catlady I think it's 362 from the examples I see in my RDA book
19:19 corilynn yup, that looks right!
19:20 corilynn "If the serial is complete, use subfield Ç‚a for the designation of the first issue followed by the designation of the last issue."
19:20 corilynn so glad I don't do serials :)
19:21 caroline_catlady The info I have to work with is only like "closed" or "some issues available on the Internet"
19:21 caroline_catlady I guess I'll put them in 362$a and hope it's ok
19:25 caroline_catlady thanks for your help!
19:32 corilynn np
19:33 corilynn I'm getting errors for "Stage MARC for import" can anyone point me to the directions for using the non-gui tool?
19:34 caroline_catlady its misc/migration_tools/bulk_marc_import
19:34 corilynn right, but are there, like, instructions?
19:35 caroline_catlady oh, can you open the script? The parameters are kind of explained
19:35 corilynn i'm looking for it
19:37 caroline_catlady do you want me to copy it for you?
19:37 corilynn where should i look for misc?
19:38 corilynn i can't find it in /etc/koha
19:38 caroline_catlady uh, I don't think my structure is the same, but it's right at the root (where there's C4 and koha-tmpl, etc)
19:40 caroline_catlady and the name is bulkmarcimport.pl (no underscore)
19:41 corilynn AH! that made the find find it ;)
19:41 corilynn thx
19:42 caroline_catlady yeah, sorry! I always write bulk and then hit tab, so I didn't know the rest ;/
19:45 corilynn well, that seems to be working ;)
19:45 corilynn thanks, caroline_catlady!
20:04 Templeton Hello, I have recently started tracking Local Use in my library. I would like to pull a report from KOHA circulation about which books have been logged as "Local Use". I have already set the Global Preferences in the Administration to "Record" Local Use, but the reports I have tried to create via the "Guided Report" option have not resulted with the data I want, or the book that I just checked in via Local Use is not appearing. Could you please help me?
20:05 caroline_catlady Hi Templeton! Could you copy the SQL query that the guided report gave you here http://paste.koha-community.org/
20:05 caroline_catlady I'll take a look
20:06 Templeton Thank you!
20:06 Templeton SELECT items.barcode,items.datelastseen,items.location FROM borrowers LEFT JOIN statistics on (statistics.borrowernumber=borrowers.borrowernumber) LEFT JOIN items on (items.itemnumber = statistics.itemnumber) LEFT JOIN biblioitems on (biblioitems.biblioitemnumber = items.biblioitemnumber) WHERE items.itype=<<itype|itemtypes>> AND statistics.type='localuse'
20:07 Templeton I would like it to produce a spreadsheet of barcodes and call numbers that have been logged in Local Use. I'm not familiar enough with this system to do this. I appreciate your help!
20:07 cait i think local use is recorded in statitics or action logs
20:08 caroline_catlady yeah it's in statistics
20:08 cait             caroline_catlady++
20:08 caroline_catlady The guided reports make such messy queries...
20:08 cait yeah i usually tend to start over
20:09 rangi i would like to remove the guided reports bit entirely
20:10 rangi and I wrote the horrible mess that it is
20:10 rangi (under protest I might add)
20:10 cait heh
20:10 cait one issue is it adds more tables than you need, so usually a cleaned up one is faster on big db
20:10 Templeton That's good to know. So, if I were to re-create this, which statistics column should I select? Would it fall under "Type of Procedure" or something else?
20:12 pastebot "caroline_catlady" at 127.0.0.1 pasted "Templeton, can you try this?" (1 line) at http://paste.koha-community.org/3438
20:12 cait this one from the wiki looks interesting too https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/SQL_Reports_Library
20:12 cait hm seearch for local use
20:13 cait hm and some more here: https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/SQL_Reports_Circulation#Local_Use
20:13 Templeton Caroline_catlady - That worked! Thank you so much! What did you do?
20:13 caroline_catlady I just cleaned it up a bit. It was using the borrowers table for an obscure reason
20:14 caroline_catlady you only needed the statistics table and the items table for the barcode and callnumber info
20:14 Templeton Oh, I see. That makes more sense.
20:14 Templeton Thank you for all your help! Have a good day everyone!
20:14 cait             caroline_catlady++ again
20:14 caroline_catlady glad it worked :)
22:53 caroline_catlady good night!
