The patch is 1.4MB in size. 00:39 lari same via web interface even if it says "File size limit: 6000 KB" 00:47 lari less than 1MB works, so i suppose 1MB is the limit 04:02 amoyano Hello everyone, I worked on bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=21772 and It's been in signed off status for 4 or 5 days now. I remember now that I did not "git format " the patches and send them to koha-patches ... If I already attached those patches to bugzilla.. should I still do it?.. sorry, I'm still new to this. Thanks 04:02 huginn` Bug 21772: enhancement, P5 - low, 19.05, agustinmoyano, Signed Off , Add holds and account information tab to the SCO module 04:06 mtj hi amoyano.. no need to send patches to koha-patches list, i think 04:08 amoyano Hi mtj, thanks.. I had my doubts because it's still in the wiki 04:08 mtj https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Set_an_email_alias_for_Koha_patches 04:08 mtj "WARNING! It's not longer necessary to send patches to the mailing list. Not sure if this is the right place to ask. Here goes: On February 7th 2019 I updated Koha from 18.05 to 18.11 (latest one available in the Debian repos at that stage). Since then, we've been seeing some strange behaviour when adding new records (cataloging). Sometimes after adding a new record, there would already be an item, before we add any items. 09:41 dolf We have database backups of almost every day at midnight since 2019/01/28. So I used mysqldbcompare to check what changed, and it seems that records in the biblio table are sometimes overwritten by the new record when cataloging (gasp), meaning that we randomly lose books when cataloging. Sound like a bug, but I'm not sure. And I can't find a pattern to reproduce it reliably. 09:59 magnuse dolf: there is a function to replace a record with a new record, i think 10:01 magnuse if you are in detail view you can choose Edit -> Replace record via Z39.50/SRU 10:01 dolf magnuse: Are you referring to a Perl function, or some functionality in the user interface? I downloaded the source code and tried to surmise where updates to the biblio table are taking place, but I'm afraid I can't read Perl (yet). 10:01 magnuse but that does not look like something you would do by accident... 10:01 dolf O snap you answered before I asked 10:01 magnuse hehe 10:02 dolf I'm not the one doing the cataloging around here, so let me go and check with the people. But this only started happening after the update, and we've been using Koha since about 2013, I think. Maybe earlier. Got about 40k books on the shelf :) 10:10 magnuse kia ora cait cait2 and vfernandes 10:22 vfernandes hi #koha 10:33 ashimema anyone know how the whitelist of prefs going into HEA was derived? 10:33 * ashimema is wondering why MaxFine is not in there 11:35 oleonard Hi all 11:35 josef_moravec hi oleonard 11:35 wahanui hi oleopard 12:22 ashimema anyone around to talk about overdue charges? 12:22 ashimema I've got a scenario I want to run past someone 12:23 oleonard Sorry ashimema I'm only available to commiserate about how bad fines are 12:23 ashimema If a patron borrowers an item and it goes overdue for a few days.. they get fined... if they then renew the item the fine stops incrementing but remains owed.. correct 12:24 ashimema if the patron then goes overdue again.. should that result in a new fine or append to the existing 'fixed' fine? 12:27 ashimema oh hang on.. I'm wrong 12:27 ashimema there an && 12:28 ashimema the warning in here should be unreachable 12:28 ashimema oh good.. ignore me now 12:28 ashimema though if you have a clue what MaxFine is meant to do that would be cool too oleonard 12:28 ashimema the description isn't especially clear (and the code is even less so) 12:29 oleonard Like I said ashimema... I only complain about fines, nothing more. 12:32 ashimema lol 13:00 dolf So here is a weird situation... 13:02 dolf Search for a term, e.g. "justice" at /cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/search.pl?q=justice then click "Z39.50/SRU Search". In the popup window, click "Search". Choose a book and click Actions -> Import. Instead of going to a page called "Add MARC Record" I get "Editing [title]. (Record number 28412). But record number 28412 already exists, and has a totally different title. If I click save on this page, the old record is overwritten. 13:04 dolf If I do the same thing starting from the http://192.168.4.2:8091/cgi-bin/koha/cataloguing/addbooks.pl page "Cataloging Search" instead of "Search the catalog" then I get "Add MARC Record". I hope my explanation is clear... This seems wrong. I'm not sure why Koha decides to replace an old record. 13:25 caroline1 hey guys! 13:25 caroline1 my computer died... :( 13:38 talljoy morning #koha 14:13 alex_a !seen corilynn 14:13 AnnaBoten corilynn was last seen in #koha 1 day, 21 hours, 32 minutes, and 25 seconds ago: <corilynn> i only make socks on the knitting machine 14:25 wizzyrea hi 14:52 ashimema oleonard still about? 14:53 * ashimema is still working on fines.. but this time it's a UX/UI question ;) 15:09 oleonard I am back ashimema 15:13 * oleonard forgot AnnaBoten was a bot 15:22 oleonard Who runs AnnaBoten? 15:22 oleonard AnnaBoten: Who is your master? 15:22 AnnaBoten Error: "Who" is not a valid command. 15:22 oleonard AnnaBoten: Whom do you call Maker? 15:22 AnnaBoten Error: "Whom" is not a valid command. 15:26 ashimema On the school run now 15:27 ashimema I was going to get your thoughts on UI changes for bug 22521 15:27 huginn` Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=22521 enhancement, P5 - low, ---, martin.renvoize, NEW , Convert fines handling to use 'status' instead of two accounttypes 15:27 oleonard I'll take a look ashimema 15:28 ashimema I'm looking to break down accounttype ( which currently hold both the 'type' and the 'state' of accountline in a quasi field) into accounttype and status 15:28 ashimema So.. in this particular bug it'll be removing 'FU' and adding various statuses to overdue fines 15:29 ashimema Wondering how best to expose that in the UI.. 15:29 ashimema I've not done anything UI wise yet 15:29 ashimema Just seeking direction really 15:29 ashimema I could map stuff back in the controller's for now.. 15:30 ashimema But longer term it might be nice to do something else 15:37 wizzyrea so you're talking about the distinction between a fine that isn't accruing, and one that is? 15:37 wizzyrea and how to show that? 15:39 wizzyrea well "account type" has always been a bit confusing 15:39 wizzyrea what are your statuses? 15:41 * oleonard waves to wizzyrea 15:42 corilynn hi, ya'll, I have questions 15:44 oleonard corilynn: Do we get to see them? :) 15:44 corilynn sorry, trying to form them. So, my friend bug 18823 15:44 huginn` Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=18823 enhancement, P5 - low, ---, carnold, Signed Off , Advanced editor - Rancor - add ability to edit records in import batches 15:44 corilynn got a re-base today? 15:45 corilynn and there were two bugs mentioned in comment 79 15:45 oleonard Oh yes alex_a was looking for you earlier 15:45 corilynn https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=18823#c79 15:45 huginn` Bug 18823: enhancement, P5 - low, ---, carnold, Signed Off , Advanced editor - Rancor - add ability to edit records in import batches 15:45 corilynn I've been knee deep in another proj 15:46 corilynn but those two bugs don't seem to have any thing to do with this? 15:46 corilynn where did those bugs come from? 15:47 corilynn is there some line of communication I'm not in? 15:48 ashimema Sorry, was on school run 15:49 oleonard corilynn: The comment was made by alex_a who appears to not be around at the moment 15:50 corilynn kewl, but generally, where did those bugs come from? 15:50 corilynn is there a line of communication, oleonard, that I'm not privy to? 15:50 oleonard No 15:50 corilynn or, rather, am unaware of... 15:50 ashimema So right now I've kept the three states that already existed for fines.. 'FU' could become either 'F' or 'FFOR'.. do.. I've changed that to 'OVERDUE' as the accounttype and 'UNRETURNED', 'RETURNED' and 'FORGIVEN' as the states 15:51 ashimema But it could in the future include LOST for example 15:51 wizzyrea so you could say something like Fine (Unreturned item) 15:52 ashimema I've also given VOID the same treatment in nother bug.. is now keeps its original accounttype and gets a status of VOID instead.. I didn't like that you lost the type of the credit you were voiding 15:52 wizzyrea Fine - unreturned is basically just a fine right? 15:52 ashimema That's kinda what led me down this in the first place 15:53 wizzyrea so you could just say "Fine" 15:53 wizzyrea bah let me go back 15:53 wizzyrea fine - returned is basically just a fine 15:53 wizzyrea so you don't need to say anything more about it 15:53 ashimema I got 'unreturned' from a rangi comment somewhere.. 'FU' was originally coined for Fine Unreturned (I always thought it was (fine updating) 15:54 wizzyrea right, the intent is the same, it's an accruing fine 15:54 * alex_a just finished a meeting 15:54 alex_a oleonard, corilynn ? 15:54 corilynn i'm here alex_a 15:55 wizzyrea you could also say "Fine (accruing)" but accruing is a terrible word 15:55 wizzyrea i mean it's a great word its just not a common word 15:55 kidclamp . 15:55 oleonard . 15:55 koha-jenkins Yippee, build fixed! 15:55 koha-jenkins Project Koha_18.05_D8 build #244: FIXED in 19 min: https://jenkins.koha-community.org/job/Koha_18.05_D8/244/ 15:55 corilynn .. 15:55 alex_a corilynn, i've obsoleted this 2 patch 15:56 alex_a Problably a misstake when signing off 15:56 alex_a -s 15:56 alex_a +s 15:56 wizzyrea . 15:56 wizzyrea why ware we dotting 15:56 alex_a i don't know 15:56 corilynn where did the bugs come frome? 15:56 ashimema agreed 15:57 corilynn i.e. how did you know to obsolete the patches, alex_a? 15:57 ashimema it's more how to display.. I like the bracket approach.. or it could be a further field in the tables or anything else (a hover effect.. I don't like that idea myself).. 15:57 kidclamp that was an "oh i didn't sign in this morning. Any laters?" 15:57 kidclamp but no...kidclamp is not needed 15:57 corilynn kidclamp is always needed 15:58 oleonard kidclamp: That's why you say hello, didn't your momma raise you right? 15:58 alex_a corilynn, 'cause i got a weird conflict when applying again the patches 15:58 kidclamp don't blame my momma for my mistakes 15:58 * oleonard is always fishing for @laters when greeting the room 15:58 corilynn oooooooh okay 15:58 * kidclamp clamp clamp clamp 15:58 ashimema lol 15:58 corilynn I was just thinking I was out of the loop somehow 15:59 kidclamp @later tell oleonard keep up the great work, and you are a sharp dresser 15:59 huginn` kidclamp: The operation succeeded. 15:59 corilynn thx, alex_a 15:59 corilynn also, alex_a, are we waiting on the gods that are QA before we move on with the rest of the patches? 16:00 * oleonard will now stay silent until he forgets he read kidclamp's message 16:00 oleonard Dang it! 16:00 * ashimema hasn't been called a god before 16:00 ashimema lol 16:00 corilynn I highly doubt that, ashimema 16:01 alex_a corilynn, we are waiting on the QA team :) 16:01 corilynn okay, I thought so, just checking 16:01 alex_a Gods want cash. The OpacLoginInstructions preference is global for all languages 16:29 ashimema neither opac-account.tt and pay.tt seem to use it. 16:29 oleonard ashimema: I do not know 16:30 ashimema okies 16:30 ashimema ta 16:30 wizzyrea mifantrax, i thought we had some code in that let you TT in there 16:30 wizzyrea so you could do conditionals 16:30 wizzyrea I know of libraries that have customised their html blocks 16:30 wizzyrea in multiple languages 16:31 wizzyrea https://toiohomai.mykoha.co.nz/ 16:31 wizzyrea this one, for example, in te reo MÄori 16:32 mifantrax ok, thank you very much 16:32 mifantrax i will look into that 16:32 oleonard (which reminds me to wonder why the language-picker isn't on the login page) 16:33 oleonard wizzyrea: Is the te reo MÄori version customized? 16:33 wizzyrea yep 16:33 wizzyrea er no 16:34 reiveune bye 16:34 wizzyrea i'm feeling like that code to do it was at the very least submitted to Koha 16:34 wizzyrea if not in 16:36 wizzyrea http://git.catalyst.net.nz/gw?p=koha.git;a=commit;h=7919feea6322ec2c5f9b6b231c30f9fe4a4b77b4 this was the code to do it 16:36 ashimema is it documented..
