21:38 Radius_CZ Never mind :) I'm looking into kohadev's apache config right now and maybe I will find a solution.
21:34 cait i only know that the plugin path is set in the koha-conf.xml
21:33 cait apache and me are not very good friends :)
21:30 Radius_CZ Don't you know, how I can check apache's settings or paths? I bet the problem could be there.
21:30 cait or if there is an issue - we should file a bug for it, but can not really help finding ht eproblem :(
21:29 Radius_CZ Ok, never mind. Thanks anyway for suggestions.
21:29 cait i am pretty sure what you want to do should be possible
21:29 cait sorry, I haven't worked with plugins so far, so can't tell
21:29 cait weekends are really quiet here - you might have more luck on the mailng list or trying here on monday
21:28 Radius_CZ I think permissions look ok… what do you think?
21:28 Radius_CZ http://prntscr.com/h5x2le
21:28 Radius_CZ I will send you link to a picture, moment, please
21:28 cait I'd take a look at the permissions as kidclamp_away suggested
21:27 Radius_CZ well… is there a workaround at least? I'd like to develop a plugin which needs to use CSS and JS. And they are not loaded…
21:27 cait hm guess you did
21:27 cait plugin path is correct? system preference turned on?
21:27 cait your user has plugin permissions?
21:26 Radius_CZ bye kidclamp
21:26 cait bye kidclamp_away :)
21:26 * kidclamp_away away away now :-)
21:26 kidclamp_away but I also think logo is broken
21:26 cait not sure about the other problems, sorry
21:26 kidclamp_away Hi Radius, it may me the permissions on the files/folders themselves. or a need to set access via apache
21:26 cait I tihnk the logo i broken - I filed a bug for that in the plugin repository
21:24 Radius_CZ Hi all, I'd like to ask somebody who can help me with Koha plugin. I have enabled administration settings, koha_conf.xml, successfully installed Kyle's Kitchen Sink, but there are problems with displaying its logo for instance. In addition, my own plugin does not load any resource like PNG, CSS or JS. All these files always return 404.
19:43 tcohen later #koha, have a nice weekend

13:51 tcohen I still think we are better like this
13:51 tcohen one of the issues with KohaDevBox is that on simplifying things to lower the barrier for devs to get right into playing with Koha, it hides some (fixable) historical oddities on how we handle things and weird things happen
13:48 tuxayo tcohen: that's what I though, it was to fully dismiss this hypothesis. (and the occasion to setup a DevBox which will be useful latter)
13:45 tcohen koha-translate is nothing else than a wrapper to translate...
13:44 tcohen tuxayo: the bug is not related to administrative commands anyway
13:30 huginn` 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=19522 minor, P5 - low, ---, victor.grousset, Needs Signoff , Label creator - some strings are not translatable
13:30 tuxayo tcohen: Alright, that invalidates what I was doing. I used "perl translate" until now. But I wanted to try with koha-translate because of the i18n bug 19522 where I submitted a patch. It couldn't be signoff and we suspected a perl translate vs koha-translate issue. But it seems that doesn't make sense. Thanks for making me realize that it was a dead end.
13:16 tcohen phew
13:16 tcohen trying to set the matrix
13:14 tomascohen !nick tcohen
13:14 tomascohen et voila
13:14 tomascohen perl translate install fr-FR
13:13 tomascohen cd /home/vagrant/kohaclone/misc/translation
13:13 magnuse what he said ^
13:13 tomascohen you should install the translation in a different way
13:13 tomascohen tuxayo: the problem is koha-translate only touches packages-related translations, and you are working on a dev install
13:10 tuxayo Suspicion: The Koha code is shared with host machine (NFS mount according to the DevBox doc) and when verbosely installing the lang with koha-translate, it said that it was putting them in /usr/[...] in the DevBox.
13:10 tuxayo tomascohen: interesting, I though I had the same issue in my KohaDevBox. But it turns out that even though koha-translate --list returns me "fr-FR", the sysprefs only lists "en".
12:59 TribbleX_ It works. I have my language. Thank you very very much ...
12:57 TribbleX_ Thank You TomasCohen, my godfather of koha. I found the checkboxes

12:53 tomascohen if you want to the OPAC users to change the language, then set opaclanguagedisplay too
12:53 tomascohen there is where you enable the installed translations
12:52 tomascohen you will find language and opaclanguages
12:52 tomascohen and go Koha administration > Global system preferences > i18n/l10n (tab)
12:52 TribbleX_ ok, i m in the interface
12:51 tomascohen TribbleX_: yeah, that's the command. After that get into the Intranet (admin interface)
12:49 TribbleX_ This ran ...
12:49 TribbleX_ I thought, I install with koha-translate --install de-DE
12:37 eythian It's an important question
12:36 oleonard Why do I not have a spare eighty bucks to drop on a novelty holiday sweater? https://middleofbeyond.com/collections/sweaters/products/cthulhu
12:36 tomascohen TribbleX_: translations are not installed using a package (they are generated using the koha-translate script) and system preferences are set on the administration UI.
12:33 oleonard eythian: I'm pretty sure the word at the time was that it was Jesus' show. I don't know if he and Cthulhu are on the same clock.
12:32 eythian oleonard: surely Ctulhu Standard Time would be more relevant.
12:31 TribbleX_ No. In what file are the preferences?

09:55 TribbleX_ Hello
09:51 andreashm hi TribbleX
09:45 TribbleX Hello
09:11 tuxayo Now the translation is installed but the folders aren't create and it's not available in the UI. But --list reports the translation to be there!
09:10 tuxayo magnuse: you have to, Rain over IP are still IP packets so with a sender address. However, it can be forged ;)
09:09 magnuse next time i will not put the sender address on the back of it
09:08 magnuse could be!
09:08 tuxayo magnuse: then maybe your first try just bounced back at you then :-P
09:07 magnuse well, we have lots of new rain here, if you want some
09:06 tuxayo magnuse: btw, it seems the rain you sent got lost in the way :( i don't know where it went but at least it's not on you anymore ^^
09:01 eythian sometimes autocomplete can be smart, but it's not a given
09:01 tuxayo eythian: thanks, I shoudn't have been worried to not see then in autocompletion...
09:01 magnuse ...as vagrant user
09:00 tuxayo eythian: that was it! :-D
09:00 eythian (this is just my user, may or may not apply to devbox stuff.)
09:00 magnuse yeah, try "koha-<tab><tab>" and "sudo koha-<tab><tab>"
09:00 eythian /usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/snap/bin
09:00 eythian [sudo] wachtwoord voor robin:
09:00 eythian $ sudo bash -c 'echo $PATH'
09:00 eythian /home/robin/local/bin:/home/robin/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:/usr/local/games:/snap/bin
09:00 eythian $ echo $PATH
08:59 eythian so it will find tihngs in, e.g. /usr/sbin that it wouldn't find without sudo
08:59 eythian no, the path may be different
08:59 tuxayo suspicion: my DevBox is based on Debian 9 (stretch) whereas the default is still 8/Jessie
08:59 tuxayo eythian: they would still be in PATH but with a different name???
08:57 eythian if you run things with sudo they mayhave a different path
08:55 tuxayo kohadev-koha has 31 koha-* commands
08:55 tuxayo magnuse: With the vagrant user, I only have these in PATH koha-intra-err koha-opac-err koha-pass koha-plack-err koha-plack-log koha-user
08:53 magnuse can you run other koha-* scripts as the vagrant-user (with sudo)?
08:52 magnuse works for me
08:52 tuxayo The vagrant user doesn't have koha-translate in it's path, whereas kohadev-koha do. I don't get why if koha-translate is meant to be used with sudo
08:52 tuxayo magnuse: thanks, at least I can stop trying to guess kohadev-koha's password ^^ (could have refined it though)
08:46 magnuse tuxayo: yes, you have to be the vagrant user to use sudo, not kohadev-koha
08:45 andreashm hi magnuse!
08:44 magnuse hiya andreashm
08:44 * andreashm waves
08:44 magnuse all the koha-* scripts should be run with sudo
08:44 magnuse tuxayo: you should not have to think about the password for kohadev-koha
08:43 magnuse LibraryClaire1: busy busy :-)
08:42 tuxayo Suspicion: The doc says to run it with sudo but in the KohaDevBox, I can't find the default password of the kohadev-koha user. Considering the vagrant user doesn't have a password, I think if kohadev-koha was meant to use sudo, it wouldn't also have a password.
08:42 tuxayo Hi :) First time using "koha-translate" to manage I18n, after doing `koha-translate --install fr-FR` the new lang is usable but `koha-translate --list` and `koha-translate --update fr-FR` report no installed languages. Did I miss a step?
