01:46 dcook Wow the circulation and fines rules are getting out of control...
01:47 * dcook scrolls and scrolls
01:47 wizzyrea yeah it needs a UI overhaul at the very least.
01:47 * dcook nod
01:47 dcook I'm trying to do a UI at the moment and wondering about the bets way..
01:47 wizzyrea like, sections that expand out
01:47 dcook I have too many fields to show
01:47 wizzyrea for example, a "fines" section
01:47 wizzyrea and a "renewals" section
01:47 wizzyrea and a "reserves" section
01:48 wizzyrea with only the most essential ones on top.
01:48 wizzyrea on top = visible
01:48 dcook Yeah
01:48 dcook I don't even recall what those tables look like at this point
01:51 dcook Ugh, I hate front end work..
01:51 wizzyrea huge.
01:51 dcook I feel like you'd want a team of designers, developers, testers..

08:16 magnuse if i change the <zebra_loglevels> setting in koha-conf.xml, shouldn't that be picked up after a "sudo koha-restart-zebra <instance>"?
08:16 magnuse or is there some other step i'm missing?

08:53 sameeenz anyone want to talk me through the final steps of an AWS install?
08:53 sameeenz would be much appreciated
08:53 sameeenz I have followed the wiki pretty closely, but cannot access the web interface from the public ip
08:56 cait which wikipage did you follow?
08:56 sameeenz the debian one
08:56 wahanui the debian one is commendably short :)
08:57 sameeenz oh. hard mode i see
08:59 sameeenz any better documentation for an install to AWS?
09:02 drojf don't think so. feel free to put your findings in the wiki
09:09 magnuse sameeenz: do you get the "it works" page?
09:09 magnuse shouldn't be anything particular for aws, i think?
09:09 sameeenz I disabled the default apache page before i ever loaded the IP from the web
09:10 sameeenz I will give it another go.
09:12 magnuse sameeenz: so you see nothing at all?
09:26 magnuse drojf: i had some problems with the nightly repo. not sure if the problem is on your end or mine? http://paste.koha-community.org/376

09:45 marcelr forgot that on the other one
09:45 ashimema I've not signed the patches yet because I went to grab a fresh copy to sign and foud I needed to rebase and wasn't confident of rebasing it as it's so extensive

14:15 barton Stay classy, EFknockr.
15:01 Shane-S Does Koha have a way to do a data import on a schedule of users from another system if it can upload the file?
15:02 Shane-S We currently manually add the patrons, I remember doing an import process via the admin panel, but I was thinking more backend to automate it via an SFTP transfer nightly.
15:02 kidclamp sounds like something you could do via a cronjob
15:03 cait hm I think ther eis none yet for importing patrons
15:03 cait only exporting
15:03 cait you could maybe use the rest api in newer versions
15:03 cait or i think i have seen a curl command somewhere mimicking the gui
15:04 kidclamp ah, we use a custom script then
15:05 cait hm or i missed it when it was added :)
15:06 Shane-S okay I will look into it more, thank you!

15:07 Shane-S Just didn't know it already fully existing, like just SFTP to /foo/bar/import and it will look for file patrons.csv and handle it if formatted correctly.
15:18 reiveune bye

18:40 oleonard Hi all. I'm getting an error when running git-bz in my kohadevbox. CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED
18:40 oleonard Anyone know anything about that?
18:46 * oleonard invokes the nuclear option. All the kool cats are doing it.
18:50 cait oh my
18:51 cait oleonard: could not read from remote repository for me
18:51 cait hm now it seems to work
18:57 oleonard Bye all
20:39 CrispyBran barton: Do you know how to get bz to work in the kohadevbox again? Right now it is telling me bz is not a git command.
20:43 barton oh... I ran into that... it has to do with the Vagrant provision crapping out before git bz installs.
20:44 barton try: vagrant provision
20:44 barton ^^ from the host machine.
20:44 CrispyBran Okay. Otherwize I guess I could add it manually.
20:44 barton ... keep on doing that until nothing changes.
20:44 barton yeah. that should work too.
20:44 barton ... but try the provision first.
20:50 barton So ... I've been looking for a way to look up bug numbers when I can't find them in bugzilla, ('cause sometimes you just can't...) and I realized that `grep FOO /misc/release_notes/*` is startlingly effective, *and* it gives you the release. Ba-duh.
21:03 CrispyBran barton: provision plus the cpan workaround got things working right. Thanks.
21:04 CrispyBran barton: I submitted a patch but for some reason it bunged up the attachment. 18355. Any idea how to fix this?
21:15 barton CrispyBran: you could do a git commit --amend, fix the commit message, then do git bz attach -e (I *think*) to re-attach the patch -- you'd want to obsolete the old patch.
21:15 CrispyBran barton: nevermind. I figured it out. :)
21:16 CrispyBran I was able to edit it in the details.
21:17 barton The patch itself is still munged ... not a *huge* deal; somoene's bound to fix it.
21:30 CrispyBran barton: how does that look now? bug 18355
21:30 huginn` 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=18355 enhancement, P5 - low, ---, cbrannon, Needs Signoff , Permanent location should show with cart location

22:27 stpats I did a fresh install of a new Ubuntu server with the new Koha and had everythign working until I tried importing the database from the old Koha server. I can get to the login screen but then after that I get a http 500 error. Any ideas?
23:03 CrispyBran stpats: are they both the same version of Koha?
