23:56 irma Pydio file sharing : questions and answers
22:49 drojf good night everyone
22:49 drojf rangi: thanks!
22:42 wizzyrea we have someone here at catalyst who has looked over the OPAC with a screen reader and found it not terrible to use.
22:30 cait well maybe a bit more
22:30 TGoat right on.. thanks for the input cait greatly appreciated
22:30 cait just following general rules and web stndards
22:30 cait but you don't need anything in koha to have it work with them
22:30 TGoat true, the OS utilities and 3rd party SW
22:29 cait etc.
22:29 cait depending on the help you need there are different tools available like screen readers, braille lines
22:28 cait ?
22:28 TGoat looks like it 3rd party SW like Jaws and what's built into the browser
22:28 TGoat yeh, that's what I'm gathering
22:28 cait there is not much official
22:27 TGoat cait I have a UNiversity that sent me a VPAT - Voluntary Product Accessibility Template and asked a few questions in a confcall. I'm responding but finding limited info on accessibilty. If you have anything it'll help
22:27 rangi we don't write web browsers
22:27 rangi the web browser creates the DOM
22:26 cait https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Document_Object_Model
22:25 cait you can manipulate the DOM with something like jquery
22:25 TGoat so maybe they were just reaching
22:25 cait it's not a stanard or anything
22:25 TGoat Document Object Model
22:24 TGoat I think so cait. It was a question that came from someone interested in Koha
22:24 cait the DOM i am thinking is probably not what you meant
22:24 cait are you sure you mean DOM?
22:20 TGoat Hey #koha can anyone point me to a Koha accessibilty document besides the one in the wiki? Also, does Koha follow DOM? Thanks :)
21:06 rangi done

20:43 huginn rangi: The operation succeeded.
20:43 rangi @later tell drojf done
20:42 rangi will file a bug and submit a patch
20:39 rangi Plugins potentially
20:37 rangi i think koha is safe but we should check
20:37 rangi https://www.debian.org/security/2016/dsa-3628
20:37 rangi happy security day
20:37 wahanui the only good morning is a dead one

18:04 Joubu actually there is a bug, the "renew all" should not renew not renewable checkouts
18:02 cait i think i even filed a bug for it and oleonard retested it
18:02 cait my mistake too
18:02 cait ah yeah
18:01 Joubu I expected the checkbox at the beginning of the line actually
18:01 Joubu indeed, I see them now
17:59 cait try if they appear if something can be renewed
17:59 cait then
17:59 cait i think than the issue is that you shoudn't see the rnew message at all
17:59 Joubu no
17:58 cait is there a renewable item?
17:58 cait oh i have seen that
17:57 Joubu but where are the checkboxes!?
17:57 Joubu "Nothing has been selected. Check the box for each item you want to renew"
17:57 Joubu did we remove the checkboxes on the checkouts table at the OPAC?

17:53 Joubu yes
17:53 drojf does it display the message the number of times you renewed the item? :D
17:52 drojf better read it again!
17:52 Joubu ok ok ok, I think I understood!
17:52 Joubu Please note: Your loan renewal failed because of the following reason(s): You have renewed this item the maximum number of times allowed. You have renewed this item the maximum number of times allowed. You have renewed this item the maximum number of times allowed.
17:16 DCS Anyhow, thanks so much for getting me pointed in the right direction. I'm sure if I had a bit better unix-fu I would have been able to force koha-restore to do what I wanted, but overall this seems to have worked for my needs.
17:15 DCS Then, I updated the mysql password and the matching koha config file password. I'm sure I may be missing one or two other configuration tweaks that I'll have to adjust, but at least I'm running again with zebra functional.
17:14 DCS Hey folks - just checking back with the resolution. Thanks to mtj, I narrowed down my issue to a conf file problem. Rather than trying to track down all the different files that were wrong (there were several, between koha and zebra), I reverted back to the stock debian+koha before adding any libraries. Then, I created a new library and only copied over the database directly into sql, without using koha-restore.

16:06 Joubu forget my question, misread
16:05 Joubu t/db_dependent/api/v1/patrons.t .. Can't open file "definitions/index.json": No such file or directory at /usr/share/perl5/Swagger2.pm line 363.
16:04 Joubu looking at git diff, the file has not changed since it's pushed
16:04 lari Joubu: can u run patrons.t and see if it also happens for you?
16:04 Joubu lari: master does not have the problem, sure?
16:03 Joubu lari: please open a bug report, and link it to the original one
16:01 lari seems that if the test does authentication ($t->request_ok($tx) with CGISESSID set), $dbh->rollback is ineffective.
16:01 lari jajm: i'm having trouble with patron REST tests (t/db_dependent/api/v1/patrons.t) not cleaning borrowers table after testing in master. holds.t does not have same problem
15:56 Joubu tcohen: looks ok for me (memcached+3.22), but I do not get the wide char warning
15:50 Joubu =mysql
15:50 Joubu heh, I use sessionStorage as well
15:50 tcohen I guess most levae the sessionStorage syspref as default
15:49 tcohen Joubu: I know
15:47 Joubu Someone else would have noticed it
15:46 tcohen my fear is that the caching changes cherry-picked for 3.22 broke memcached usage in Context.pm
15:46 tcohen but only 120kb are used
15:46 tcohen 512 MB
15:46 tcohen yes
15:44 Joubu did you try to extend the memcached memory allocated?
15:44 tcohen nope
15:43 Joubu tcohen: it did not work by just restarting memcached+plack?
15:43 Joubu weird
15:42 tcohen and no more users kicked out

13:19 fridolin vfernandes: mmm this is too much for me, i'd say its normal but i'm not sure
13:11 vfernandes that session cookie isn't removed when logging out from CAS in other application
13:10 vfernandes Koha always uses that session cookie to check if the user is authorized to access some script

13:07 vfernandes fridolin: i have two applications using the same CAS server
12:55 cait and we can try to add you on new ones as they appear

12:50 drojf marcelr: deal!
12:50 marcelr drojf: make them send wine and sweets to qa too, and you have a new coding guideline
12:48 drojf oleonard: a manual way could be that devs looks if stuff they use is available, and mention if it's not. and then send me wine or sweets and add me to the bug
12:45 drojf oleonard: yes that would be a very good idea
12:45 marcelr again
12:45 marcelr oleonard: it happens every now and then agian
12:45 eythian marcelr: that'd be a fun option :)
12:45 drojf because otherwise i won't :P
12:45 oleonard Should we not have a procedure for making packages available *before* the patch gets pushed to master?
12:45 eythian I saw one in my bedroom the other day, it doesn't seem to be a very good hunter though.

12:43 drojf eythian: get a cat
12:43 eythian everywhere has sold out of plug-in insect repellents. This is a problem, as mosquitos have discovered where I live.
12:42 drojf oleonard: i can look into backporting later. in general it would not hurt if people mentioned that is necessary when they add stuff. i don't have much bug tracker time at the moment so i won't just find it all by accident

12:32 drojf it's in testing

12:32 cait does it backport?

11:55 LibraryClaire hi oleonard
11:52 oleonard Hi #koha
11:48 LibraryClaire hi drojf
11:48 fridolin vfernandes: hie, what do you mean by 'force authentication' ? if cas is on, a user can still use auth form
11:46 drojf hi LibraryClaire :)
11:45 LibraryClaire afternoon #koha
10:59 vfernandes Koha uses CAS authentication without force authentication right?
10:59 vfernandes hi #koha
10:36 Joubu thx

10:36 Joubu marcelr: If you don't think it's useful, let it there. I just try to avoid future problems
10:33 marcelr Joubu: since you keep insisting, i will move it away :)
10:33 drojf we have all the summer here atm

10:32 eythian today is very grey. Yesterday I actually got a little bit sunburnt. So, I make no promises :)
10:32 Joubu marcelr: I just think it's 2 different things: 1 is a security fix, the other one is a missing deps
10:32 drojf i hear it's a nice city
10:31 drojf eythian: i definitely want to do that

10:31 marcelr What is the problem?
10:31 liw [off?] I visited the University of Helsinki main library today. It is quite pretty inside. If any of you visit Helsinki ever, you should look in there.
10:31 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=16878 is not accessible.
10:31 Joubu Hi marcelr! Could you please detail why you do not want to move the last patch of bug 16878 to its own bug report?
10:31 eythian drojf: he sounds like a bit of a jerk really :) surely you need a trip to Amsterdam at some stage?
10:30 drojf which is a good thing, altogether ;)
10:30 drojf eythian: he said i have to work all summer
10:30 marcelr yes Joubu
10:30 Joubu marcelr: around?
10:27 eythian you should talk to your boss

10:22 eythian g'day
10:22 drojf hi eythian

08:21 wahanui hey, eythian
08:21 eythian hi
08:07 DCS hmm... well, I've moved on to new errors... I'll poke around a bit more, but at least I have some motion forward.... I have 36 records exported, but still not getting anything through opac.... having a bit of trouble connecting with yaz to confirm - can't seem to find the right socket or maybe something is still missing or wrong in a config file. getting a bit late at night though, so I'll have to tackle it again in the morning. Thank
07:50 morgane hi mtj :)
07:43 gaetan_B hello
07:43 fridolin hie mtj
07:41 mtj http://manual.koha-community.org/3.22/en/administration.html#CircControl
07:41 mtj tee, ' CircControl' syspref looks important too
07:39 marcelr hi mtj
07:39 * mtj waves to fridolin, morgane, marcelr :)
07:38 marcelr hi #koha
07:38 mtj ..and a --log arg too, those should be helpful
07:37 mtj you can run the fines script with a --verbose arg
07:37 tee done tht too
07:37 mtj http://manual.koha-community.org/3.22/en/administration.html#finesMode
07:36 mtj ..try 'Calculate' , or 'Calculate and charge'
07:34 mtj aah. the 'finesMode' syspref..
07:33 tee k
07:33 mtj its been some time since i debugged a fines problem - sorry
07:32 mtj ..run the script, then check accountlines table again
07:32 tee from mysql is it
07:31 mtj perhaps delete your accountlines table, on your test system?
07:31 tee that is to zero only
07:31 mtj set your return date to 1 year ago
07:30 mtj set yout grace period to 0 days tee
07:30 morgane hi !
07:29 tee is there any way i can find out the issue
07:29 mtj hmm, you have some bug with your config, i think
07:26 tee then wht should i check
07:26 mtj looks ok tee ^
07:26 tee Jul 25 02:55:17 deepali sudo: root : TTY=unknown ; PWD=/ ; USER=library-koha ; COMMAND=/usr/bin/env PERL5LIB=/usr/share/koha/lib KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha/sites/library/koha-conf.xml /usr/share/koha/bin/cronjobs/fines.pl
07:25 tee my auth.log says
07:25 tee on both same issue
07:25 fridolin hie
07:25 tee i tried that as well
07:25 mtj btw, i suggest you use a non-production koha instance to test fines
07:25 tee yes
07:24 mtj are you sure you have a fine set for that itemtype?
07:23 tee but fines is shown as 0.00
07:23 tee it is showing overdue items
07:22 mtj ..then you need to check your circ rules to make sure your item(s) is overdue, as expected
07:21 mtj tee, you can confirm that your fines script is running daily by checking /var/log/auth.log* files
07:02 wahanui bonjour, alex_a
07:02 alex_a bonjour
06:52 tee yes
06:52 mtj tee, did you install koha using the debian packages?
06:51 mtj DCS: i think your old 3.16 koha-conf.xml file is missing some newer stuff
06:48 mtj ..if you compare/diff that new koha dir to your existing upgraded dir, you will spot some small differences
06:46 mtj DCS: what i would do is create a new koha instance, and load your db dump into that
06:45 huginn 04Bug 13396: enhancement, P5 - low, ---, tomascohen, RESOLVED DUPLICATE, koha-rebuild-zebra: Couldn't open collection.abs error after 3.18 package update
06:45 mtj             DCS: -> https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=13396
06:44 DCS FYI, mtj (or whoever is reading), I tried a quick test of downgrading to 3.22 and that didn't seem to fix things, at least not that I could see.
06:33 tee but no idea why is it nt working
06:33 tee even ran fines.pl script manually
06:33 tee all those things are done
06:32 DCS hey tee - would love to help, but I'm no expert. Did you try the usual google searches first? I turned up this parameter you might want to check on: https://lists.katipo.co.nz/public/koha/2009-March/017456.html
06:28 DCS I suppose I could either try finding 3.16 to install on the new server or upgrade the old one prior to migration, if you think that might be the issue....
06:28 DCS I just double checked - looks like my old server was at 3.16, and the new one is running 16.05... so something in there may not have migrated well
06:25 DCS I'm basically trying to get pointed in the right direction - I've tried a full server reinstall from the ground up, which duplicated the problem. I'm guessing it is something in the migration I am trying to do, but I'm not sure how to troubleshoot
06:23 pastebot "DCS" at 127.0.0.1 pasted "Zebra Issue" (98 lines) at http://paste.koha-community.org/42
06:19 tee can someone help
06:19 tee tried to upgrade to 3.22.8 but no luck
06:18 tee my overdue fines is not calculated at all
06:18 tee i need help on fine
06:11 DCS I can paste in some details... give me a sec and I'll use the paste.koha-c... link, if I can get that to work
06:10 DCS yes, I did
06:04 mtj hi DCS, did you install koha using the debian packages?
05:54 * Oak waves
05:21 DCS I don't suppose you'd happen to know anything about fixing zebra indexing? I've been hitting a wall and figured I'd stop in here for advice on which way to go. :)
05:20 cait hi DCS
05:20 DCS Hi cait
05:16 DCS Anyone around help point a poor lost sheep in the right direction on fixing my Zebra? :)
05:16 DCS Hello all.
