21:46 eythian hi
21:41 wahanui the only good morning is a dead one
21:41 Francesca good morning
21:15 * jcamins makes a note: make rock bread.
21:15 wizzyrea but nobody does that.
21:15 wizzyrea well not impossible, if you were beating rocks.
21:15 wizzyrea the kitchenaid has a metal beater paddle, which would be impossible to break.
21:15 wizzyrea the one I have has a dough hook, a whisk, and a paddle (which I managed to break, but can get a replacement for )
21:15 jcamins I have a hand-held mixer which I use for whipping cream and egg whites.
21:14 wizzyrea idk, egg white beating is soooo easy with a stand mixer.
21:14 jcamins I could bake even more! Of course, I made three desserts this weekend and have a second batch of bread dough resting, so maybe I don't need one.
21:05 jcamins I've been considering getting one recently.
21:04 wizzyrea I like it, very useful.
21:04 wizzyrea I have a breville one now, it's not terrible, and it is actually quite good, but it isn't a kitchenaid.
21:03 wizzyrea (it's not NZ power plug/voltage, so had to stay in the states)
21:03 wizzyrea I miss my kitchenaid, a lot.
21:03 jcamins How do you like it?
21:03 wizzyrea speaking of I need to replace my paddle.
21:02 wizzyrea I do/did :)
21:02 jcamins wizzyrea: do you/did you have a stand mixer?
21:02 jcamins The tofu skins are soaking.
20:52 wahanui basically is, like, all but closed/wontfix/invalid
20:52 wizzyrea basically.
20:52 wizzyrea fuuuuuu
20:50 jcamins Come to think of it... I still haven't a clue how to pronounce it.
20:49 jcamins Understandable. It's kind of hard to pronounce.
20:47 wizzyrea it was pho, but they didn't want to say it.
20:47 wizzyrea there was a shop in lawrence that made the most amazing duck noodle soup
20:46 wizzyrea but yeah, if you've got good broth, pho is the way to go
20:46 wizzyrea :)
20:46 jcamins Yeah, but we already ate them.
20:46 jcamins I will make pho with tofu skins and cabbage.
20:46 wizzyrea duck breast would make amazing soup though
20:46 wizzyrea yep it would work :)
20:45 * jcamins loves tofu skins.
20:45 jcamins Ooh, tofu skins!
20:45 wizzyrea even better would be that fried tofu
20:45 wizzyrea if it was firm tofu, yeah, that's a thing
20:45 jcamins I could get sprouts easily enough.
20:45 jcamins Tofu pho?
20:44 wizzyrea I think any protein would do in there.
20:44 wizzyrea and the sprouts are kinda key, but you could leave them out in favour of something else fresh and crunchy
20:44 jcamins In that case I have everything I would need except for chicken and sprouts. :)
20:44 wizzyrea I think you could just as easily use chicken in there
20:43 jcamins I have everything I would need except for duck breasts and sprouts.
20:43 wizzyrea Pho is really really yum
20:42 * jcamins consults the web for recipes.
20:42 jcamins Pho?

20:42 wizzyrea jcamins ^
20:42 wizzyrea pho
20:42 wizzyrea hm
20:33 jcamins What kind of soup should I make with two cups of duck broth?
20:02 cait       jcamins++ :)
19:54 edwardsph Downloaded in seconds! Great idea - thakns
19:46 jcamins edwardsph: the git repo has surprisingly poor performance at times. What I did when that happened was clone from the GitHub clone and then change the upstream once it was done.
19:44 edwardsph 53% now. My internet connection is great so I will just have to leave it running overnight - thanks.
19:43 cait not sure if there are fastr ways, might also depend on your internet ocnnection
19:42 cait it's a bit big these days - you might have to sit through it this once
19:42 cait hi edwardsph
19:30 edwardsph Hoping to get involved. Just setting up my dev system but git clone is going really slowly. After 1.5 hours I am up to 52% but speed is down to 12 KiB/s. Anyone have any advice? Is there a faster way of getting the repository?
18:30 * cait waves belatedly at magnuse
