02:10 mtj hmm, just noticed the channel topic is truncated...
02:12 eythian topic can only be a certain length
02:13 mtj a bit better
02:14 wizzyrea could leave off "new" in the code of conduct bit
02:14 rangi or just Code of Conduct
02:14 rangi with the url
02:14 rangi that works
02:15 mtj in all fairness, i think we've only just recently ever hit the topic limit
02:15 wizzyrea now we have more space. ;)
02:15 wizzyrea the CoC isn't new anymore.
02:15 mtj heh
02:16 mtj i noticed the #dbix-class topic recently and was impressed (as a newcomer)
02:17 wizzyrea they must be on freenode?
02:17 mtj ..loads of good info stuff, for the newbie
02:17 wizzyrea ah nope.
02:17 mtj nope wiz, irc.perl.org
02:18 wizzyrea can't be bothered to join another set of servers lol.
02:18 wizzyrea sorry mtj.
02:18 eythian mtj could tell us what it was, then we wouldn't have to...
02:18 mtj       'DBIC: 0.082810 | NO PASTING, use http://paste.scsys.co.uk/dbix-class | Query syntax is perldoc SQL::Abstract | DBIC_TRACE=1 | RMs DBIC:ribasushi DBICSL:ilmari CMDBICS:gbjk | TO_JSON: the answer to everything except MySQL | DBIC Hackathon #2, April 2015 anyone?'
02:20 wizzyrea ours is friendlier.
02:20 wizzyrea >.>
02:20 rangi yeah different audiences
02:20 mtj lol, yeah, theirs is a little terse :P
02:20 rangi its pretty much line noise except to a perl dev
02:21 rangi but that's their audience
02:21 wizzyrea not mad about it, just pointing it out. ^.^
02:22 mtj DBICSL:ilmari CMDBICS:gbjk ... is a bit 'cat jumped on teh keyboard' :)
02:25 eythian I prefer this, from another channel:
02:25 eythian > CYBER THURSDAY | CYBER WEDNESDAY | CYBER TUESDAY | CYBER MONDAY | You have mail. | "Is that why you're still on Earth?" "Yeah, I couldn't pass the medical." | Internet hucksters | BFD LIFTED | son-of-a-32913 NOW IN EFFECT | elk-shaped wholegrain pasta | Spel werkt, vertel het door! | hype mismatch error |
02:41 waylonR hiya all. okay, trying to debug a zebra db... how do i identify that any data is in the zebra index, and how do i get a dump of a few records from it?
02:56 waylonR ive done a scan, to identify that records are in there... oddly i get numbers
02:57 waylonR did a find on one of the numbers, to select one number.
02:57 waylonR did show 1: Specified element set name not valid for specified database -- v2 addinfo 'marc'
03:09 waylonR is there something im missing?
03:11 eythian it's possible to talk to zebra using yaz to see what's tehre, but I don't know how to do it.
03:14 wizzyrea waylonR: something like
03:14 wizzyrea f the search
03:14 wizzyrea show 1 (if there are results
03:15 wizzyrea in your yaz client
03:15 wizzyrea or maybe you got that far.
03:16 wizzyrea is there drupal context for ministry of social development that I'm missing?
03:16 wizzyrea (just wondering if ministry of social development and ministry of education were confused there)
03:18 jcamins yaz?
03:18 wahanui yaz is from IndexData and the Koha XSLT filters are essentially copied from YAZ.

03:19 jcamins ^^
03:21 * mtj bookmarks that page :)
04:26 waylonR wizzyrea, got that far, but show 1 ... already said that. its definately finding something, because f 1 for instance, has two hits, no records returned.... show 1 gives the error... show 2, same, show 3, present request out of range.
06:17 paxed does koha link biblio's field to authority, and if so, in what db table? i've imported auths, now i'd need to link the fields from the already existing biblios
06:32 paxed ah. misc/link_bibs_to_authorities.pl

08:18 drojf hi magnuse and eythian
08:30 magnuse moin drojf
08:31 drojf why is it so hot in bodø? :)
08:34 magnuse dunno - because we deserve it? ;-)
08:35 nlegrand oyo
08:35 magnuse i *almost* wish we had some snow - being without it makes it really dark
08:35 magnuse hiya nlegrand

08:35 magnuse kia ora cait
08:35 nlegrand o/ cait
08:36 gaetan_B hello
08:48 cait hi magnuse and nlegrand
08:49 cait good morning #koha
08:51 Joubu hello cait, #koha
08:52 paxed so, what kind of comparison does misc/link_bibs_to_authorities.pl use? it doesn't seem to link all-caps in bib to correct-case auth. :(
08:54 cait good morning Joubu
08:54 cait paxed: there are a few parameters you can try in the sys prefs
08:54 cait but i haven't used the script yet
08:55 cait i saw you asked earlier about a table - the pk of the auth_header table goes into $9 in the bibliographic record to create the link
08:55 paxed yeah, i ran the linking script for one bib, and compared the marcxml
08:57 paxed problem is we have lots of older migrated bibs with all-caps data (eg. SHAKESPREARE, WILLIAM), and it doesn't seem to link to the correct Shakespeare, William auth.... and i don't see any case-sensitivity options in the linker code.
09:07 cait maybe you can find something in the linker script itself
09:08 cait i think it's meant so that you can write your own linker scripts - it's on my to long to do list to learn more about it :(
12:24 * cait waves
12:31 * magnuse waves back
12:32 * cait waves
13:41 magnuse is there some international holiday today?
13:42 drojf not around here AFAIK
13:42 magnuse just lots of busy people, then :-)
13:53 nlegrand or idling on friday afternoon :)
13:54 drojf let's kill the somewhat working dspace with a tomcat upgrade
13:54 drojf i hate java
13:55 nlegrand best time for upgrade
13:55 drojf heh
13:59 cait drojf: need cookies?
14:11 drojf cait: cookies would be great :)
14:33 * magnuse wanders off
14:48 drojf yay it's working
14:48 drojf dspace is horibble to install :(
14:48 drojf horrible even
14:49 drojf or, the undocumented multitude of non-working combinations of different parts is horrible
15:19 misilot drojf: what issues are you having with dspace? I have been running it without issues for a while now
15:20 drojf misilot: now that it is running, i hope none. but it took some time setting it up and figuring out what versions of dspace, tomcat, openjdk and maven actually work together
15:23 misilot drojf: ah that fun part of setting up :) I have been running Dspace 4.0 since just after release with Tomcat 7.0.52, maven 3.1.1, ant 1.8.4, and openjdk7 on rhel6 without issues
15:26 drojf misilot: yep, on debian i have dspace 4.2 now, it requires tomcat 7 (same version as yours due to the memory leak bug). maven 3.0.x only works with openjdk6 (i think 3.0 was the latest in debian) for me, openjdk7 seems to require 3.2 (or apparently 3.1 accourding to your setup)
15:27 drojf *according
15:28 drojf now that i know all that, it's probably quite easy to set up :D
15:29 misilot i thought I had asked them to put min version info in the manual for installation/upgrades, since that was an issue I ran into upgrading from 3 to 4
15:31 drojf the tomcat 7 requirement was in there. but it did not work for me in the beginning, so i tried tomcat6 and jetty too. i think the combination of maven and openjdk versions was the hardest to find out
15:32 drojf that's probably just basic knowledge if you deal with those things a lot, but i haven't :)
15:34 misilot I think it's something that should be in there. I see about specifying more information into the documentation. As, they should strive to make it easy for people to install and get running.
15:38 drojf would be nice. i know of at least one library that would like to use it but did not manage to set it up
15:38 drojf and one that said it works now but was a long way
15:40 drojf gotta run, later #koha
15:56 mtompset Greetings, #koha.
16:05 paul_p tcohen is a daddy !

17:43 Sean_Coos Hi, would anyone know why Koha would allow checkout to patrons with too many fines on a 3M selfcheck, but does not allow the checkout in the Koha SCO?
21:54 cbrannon Good grief...Ajax is a hot topic today. :)
21:55 * Dyrcona prefers Borax.
21:56 cait hm?
21:57 cbrannon Dyrcona: :)
22:01 jcamins cbrannon: which Ajax? There were two... Ajax the Great and Ajax the Lesser.
22:08 cbrannon :)
