22:30 mtompset have a great weekend, #koha.
21:51 huginn mtompset: The operation succeeded.
21:51 mtompset @later tell tcohen I just tried to run a fresh install of Koha on Ubuntu 12.04. Problems with http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_ubuntu_-_packages#Enable_Modules_and_Site because library vs. library.conf file name. Easy enough for someone who knows what they are looking for, but not a simple cut and paste now.
21:50 mtompset Greetings, #koha.
19:11 cait k
19:06 indradg :)
19:06 gmcharlt ;)
19:06 gmcharlt and he found me!
19:05 indradg cait didn't expect.. but no harm trying :-) so pinged gmcharlt over FB
19:02 cait indradg: they are normally not here on weekends :)

18:19 wahanui indradg: i'm not following you...
18:19 indradg wahanui merci
18:19 wahanui bonjour, indradg
18:19 indradg hi
17:19 cait anonymizes...
17:18 JasonBurds Ok thanks
17:18 cait there is a cronjob i think who anonymized and you have to pick a default whensetting it up
17:18 JasonBurds ah
17:18 cait that's a server side thing
17:18 JasonBurds We have Forever, Default, and Never
17:18 JasonBurds Do you happen to know what the "Default" time is for keeping reading history and where to change it?
17:14 cait cool
17:14 cait :)
17:14 JasonBurds Yes perfectly!
17:12 cait so it worked?
17:11 JasonBurds You're awesome!
17:10 cait       });
17:10 cait       instead };
17:10 cait try for the last line
17:10 cait give me a second
17:10 cait i can see it :)
17:10 cait right
17:09 cait oh eys
17:08 JasonBurds any better?
17:08 JasonBurds sec checking on internet connection
17:08 wahanui i guess paste is found at http://paste.koha-community.org
17:08 cait paste?
17:08 cait JasonBurds: you can try and copy what you got to paste?
17:07 cait JasonBurds: no chance, your opac doesn't like me
17:07 cait1 am i doubled up again?
17:07 JesseM :)
17:07 JesseM cait1
17:06 JesseM Hi cait
17:06 cait1 hi JesseM
17:06 cait1 e
17:06 cait1 https://catalog.dubuque.lib.ia.us < doesn#t open for m
17:06 cait1 hm it seems i can't get to your catalog
17:06 cait1 one second
17:05 cait1 hm
17:05 JasonBurds Nothing happen
17:05 cait1 JasonBurds: you ok? :)
16:59 cait1 keeping fingers crossed
16:59 JasonBurds trying it now
16:58 JasonBurds ok
16:58 cait1 and ... you can change your text to whatever, but be careful - keep it all on one line, don't add line breaks to the code
16:57 cait1      $("li.privacy1").text('Your text');
16:57 cait1 so you should be able to add just this here, for example as the second line, right after the document ready thing
16:57 cait1 that's why i was asking, to know if we need to add those lines too
16:57 cait1 and then you can put different things in between :)
16:57 cait1 this is always the first line, at the end should be })
16:56 cait1 cool
16:56 JasonBurds yes
16:56 cait1 that right?
16:56 cait1      $(document).ready(function(){
16:56 JasonBurds some stuff about removing collection codes
16:56 cait1 so the first line should besomething like
16:56 cait1 ah ok
16:56 JasonBurds yes
16:55 cait1 tell me if there is already something in there
16:55 cait1 ok, you to opacuserjs system preference
16:55 JasonBurds Iowa
16:55 cait1 where are you? heh
16:55 JasonBurds Yes
16:55 JasonBurds there are no local laws about privacy
16:55 wahanui rumour has it the text is not good
16:55 cait1 the text?
16:54 cait1 what do you want to change?
16:54 JasonBurds Default: keep my reading history according to local laws. This is the default option : the library will keep your reading history for the duration permitted by local laws. is what I need to change
16:54 cait1 one sec
16:54 cait1 ok
16:54 JasonBurds No :(
16:53 cait1 have you used opacuserjs before?
16:53 JasonBurds yes!
16:52 wahanui hmmm... here is where I work
16:52 cait1 JasonBurds: still here?
16:51 cait1 but the page is not loading for me - not logged in :)
16:51 cait1 you can use jquery i think
16:47 JasonBurds Does anyone know how I can change https://catalog.dubuque.lib.ia.us/cgi-bin/koha/opac-privacy.pl to change the text about the local laws?
15:42 cait1 :)
14:40 tcohen     cait++
14:40 tcohen gorfeas: try perl translate install el-GR
14:36 huginn wnickc: The current temperature in Lebanon, New Hampshire is 20.0°C (9:53 AM EDT on August 30, 2014). Conditions: Clear. Humidity: 61%. Dew Point: 12.0°C. Pressure: 30.21 in 1023 hPa (Falling).
14:36 wnickc @wunder 05048
14:15 wnickc then run the translate command
14:15 wnickc sudo koha-shell <instancename>
14:14 wnickc you could try koha-shell just to see, I though package commands took care of all the variables though
14:11 gorfeas thx anyway
14:11 gorfeas ok will try later
14:08 wnickc weekdays have more/more knowledgeable people in here
14:07 wnickc ah, packages have language commands, not an expert here, if those commands are failing you have exceeded my knowledge
14:06 gorfeas but I have only succeded at the INTRANET staff part. the OPAC wont work and I can't figure out why
14:06 gorfeas hm.. I am novice so all this looks fairly complicated. All I wanted to do is install properly a language package following the instructions here:http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Installation_of_additional_languages_for_OPAC_and_INTRANET_staff_client
14:03 wnickc well, it will put you in as a user with those set right
14:03 wnickc koha-shell will set all your environment variables for you
14:02 wahanui They have man pages, and you can look here: http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Commands_provided_by_the_Debian_packages
14:02 wnickc package commands
14:02 wnickc if package install you can use the koha shell and see if that helps
14:02 gorfeas version 3.16.03.000
14:02 gorfeas its a package install on ubuntu
14:02 wnickc but depends on the kind of install you did
14:01 wnickc it loks like export KOHA_CONF=/usr/share/koha/etc/koha-conf.xml
14:01 wahanui well, package install is easy, if you do it on a supported os
14:01 wnickc package install?
14:00 gorfeas nope. how do i do that?
14:00 wnickc did you export the path to your koha files?
13:59 wahanui Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
13:59 gorfeas anyone?
13:51 pastebot "gorfeas" at 127.0.0.1 pasted "the error I get" (4 lines) at http://paste.koha-community.org/183
13:50 gorfeas this is what I am trying to use and this is the error I get
13:50 gorfeas -r

13:50 gorfeas sudo ./tmpl_process3.pl install \
13:49 gorfeas hi there, I am having trouble installing a language for the OPAC. I have succesfulkly installed el-GR for the admin part
13:49 pastebot "gorfeas" at 127.0.0.1 pasted "commands I am trying to use" (5 lines) at http://paste.koha-community.org/182
13:40 gorfeas after I run sudo ./tmpl_process3.pl install \ -i /usr/share/koha/opac/htdocs/opac-tmpl/prog/en/ \ -o /usr/share/koha/opac/htdocs/opac-tmpl/prog/el-GR/ \ -s /home/koha/el-GR-i-opac-t-prog-v-3000000.po \ -r I get an error message : Can't locate C4/TmplTokenType.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.14.2 /usr/local/share/perl/5.14.2 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.14 /usr/share/perl/5.14 /usr/local/l
13:39 gorfeas I have succesfully installed el-GR language for the backend (koha admin) however I am having trouble doing the same for the OPAC. As I follow the instructions from http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Installation_of_additional_languages_for_OPAC_and_INTRANET_staff_client I get stuck here:
13:37 gorfeas I am running Koha from a preinstalled version on Ubuntu, I have ran all updates until yesterday so now I have Koha version: 3.16.03.000 OS version ('uname -a'): Linux ubuntu 3.13.0-35-generic
13:36 gorfeas I am having trouble installing Greek for the OPAC.
13:35 gorfeas hello
08:17 cait brb
08:17 cait :)
08:08 indradg thanks for the tip, it worked :)
08:02 cait yes
08:02 indradg cait: around?
07:47 cait you need to configure it a bit more in order for the link to show up - look at the other preferences
07:45 cait for the tempoarary patron category?
07:45 cait did you enter a valid category code ?
07:45 cait ah
07:45 * indradg is puzzled :-( PatronSelfRegistration is enabled, and yet no registration link in the OPAC (Koha master)
07:43 indradg cait thanks :)
07:41 drojf hi cait :)
07:36 huginn cait: The operation succeeded.
07:36 cait @later tell tcohen http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Development_IRC_meeting,_2_September_2014
07:26 cait morning drojf
07:24 cait http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Namespace_QA_Rules
07:24 cait ah this is a good page:
07:23 cait ok, better look at the bug report, not the wiki maybe
07:23 cait hmm
07:23 cait there are some notes on the wiki i think how modules in Koha shoudl be like
07:23 cait the idea is to move new and improved modules in Koha
07:22 cait the C4 is the older namespace
06:54 indradg what is the difference between the C4 and the Koha namespaces?
02:57 * jcamins wanders off to go read for a while, in the hopes that he'll start to be sleepy.
02:57 jcamins Hm. Pun not intended.
02:56 jcamins Electricity seems to fit the bill on both counts.
02:56 jcamins But I do know that you're supposed to give up something that you'll really feel the lack of, and that ideally you should be giving up something that's not good for you anyway.
02:55 indradg lol
02:55 jcamins indradg: I'm not Catholic, so I actually don't know.
02:55 indradg jcamins isn't Lent almost a year away?
02:53 jcamins FYI
02:52 * jcamins is giving up electricity for Lent.
02:46 indradg morning #koha
02:35 wahanui Don't go, jcamins. Stay a while. Stay forever.
02:35 jcamins Good night.
02:34 tcohen_zzz night #koha jcamins
02:31 tcohen_zzz :-P
02:28 jcamins We'll see.
02:26 tcohen_zzz jcamins: feature complete, and still 5 more days :-P
02:23 jcamins tcohen: what's this I see? TODO?
