03:17 mtompset Greetings, #koha.
05:24 mtompset Greetings, cait.
05:24 cait morning
05:26 mtompset Did you get a chance to look at the change in the patch I made on 11489?
05:29 cait no
05:29 cait bug 11489
05:29 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=11489 normal, P5 - low, ---, kyle, Needs Signoff , OPAC search results in 404 error when the only search result is supressed
05:29 cait maybe kylewill sign it off
05:30 cait were you able to reproduce my problem?
05:30 mtompset Yes.
05:30 mtompset The problem was hits wasn't defined AT ALL as a template parameter.
05:30 mtompset so if (blah blah & undefined HITS)... of course nothing shows.
05:31 mtompset It was weird that it actually showed sometimes.
05:31 mtompset (if I recall)
05:32 cait i am not ure when i will get back to do osme qa
05:32 mtompset   683 of opac-search has ( total => $hits)
05:32 mtompset so, I swapped it to total.
05:32 cait you know that the total if off when you hide records?
05:32 mtompset If the count is correct, it will hide the facets.
05:32 mtompset Yes, I know.
05:32 cait the count isn't correct when we hide records
05:33 cait sorry for the repeat, not really awake yet
05:33 mtompset Not a problem. I understand waking up. :)
05:33 mtompset Actually, there is a change in the first one, that makes the count more correct, I think.
05:34 mtompset I need to test it more rigorously, but that's my theory. :)
05:47 mtompset Well, I'm off.
05:47 mtompset Have a great day, cait #koha. :)

09:07 Joubu hi
09:26 nlegrand Hey #koha
09:43 kivilahtio Are you displaying the shelving location in opac-detail.pl?
09:44 kivilahtio How do your patrons know from where to look for the Book if the shelving location is not displayed?
09:44 cait it is displayed
09:44 cait below the library name in the next line
09:44 kivilahtio cait: in the staff client yes
09:44 cait in both
09:44 kivilahtio cait: I don't seem to be finding it in the opac-detail.pl
09:45 kivilahtio lemme recheck
09:45 cait this is a single branch library
09:45 cait but media cabinat is alocation
09:45 cait https://mfo.bsz-bw.de/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=132066&query_desc=kw%2Cwrdl%3A%20mathematik
09:45 cait cabinet even
09:46 cait we are just hiding the library name there - because it's always the same
09:47 kivilahtio cait: maybe this is an migration issue
09:48 kivilahtio we might have different location code in the item record then we have in the loc authorized list
09:48 kivilahtio in staff client the authorized value is not enforced
09:48 kivilahtio i guess
09:49 cait it might be something like that
09:49 cait you can check your 952$c
09:52 kivilahtio since when have we had location and permanent_location columns in items-table?
09:53 kivilahtio and what do they do :)
09:58 magnuse kivilahtio: the comments here might give a clue: http://schema.koha-community.org/tables/items.html
10:05 kivilahtio thanks magnuse! This leaves me to wonder what PROG and CART do, but I'll just migrate the shelving location to both columns Justin Case
10:15 cait kivilahtio: i would recommend that
10:15 cait cart is when the book is returned, it goes on the 'cart' first
10:16 cait and then is set back to itsnormal location in the morning of the next day or whenever you shelf your books
10:16 cait and prog is a status taht will be set on first cataloguing, indicating it's still 'backstage' somewhere and not yet available and requires a return to be set to the normal location
10:16 cait that's the theory
10:16 cait we are not using the features currently so no guaranetees
10:26 kivilahtio cait: thanks for the explanation, it is a clever system. I have been wondering what happens to shelving locations in some cases, like when the Item's holdingbranch changes.
10:26 kivilahtio well hardly it matters since we are not going to float our collections
10:47 cait bag: ping?
10:47 wahanui Using deft allegory, the authors have provided an insightful and intuitive explanation of one of Unix's most venerable networking utilities. http://www.amazon.com/Story-about-Reading-Railroad-Books/dp/0448421658
10:47 cait kivilahtio: hm I think if you float the locations tays the same
10:47 cait so maybe libraries floating don't use location as much - i imagine they are using the callnumber mostly
10:49 kivilahtio cait: we have the same call number in many places inside one library building
10:50 kivilahtio cait: PKA 84.2 JEN, can be in the adult department and in the juvenile department
10:50 kivilahtio thus the shelving location is pretty important
10:51 kivilahtio "PKA 84.2 JEN" being the signum
10:52 kivilahtio cait: But I think we got this issue under control for now :)
11:18 cait i think it's probablyonly a problem wehn you float
11:18 cait the items stay where they go .. and go on the shelves in the other library
11:18 cait instead of just going to the circulation desk/pickup area
11:21 cait hi paul_p
11:21 paul_p hi cait
11:23 cait congratulations again :)
11:23 paul_p cait thanks. (well, I think it should more be "safe travel" than "congratulation", because it's more the beginning of something than a success ;-) )
11:24 cait making the first step is often the hardest bit :)
12:53 francharb good morning

14:11 oleonard Bug 11612 is interesting. I can see the point about the IntranetNav links, but I'm not sure one should expect security from people not knowing Koha staff client links

18:30 bshum Though coincidentally I was just fixing up the Evergreen website from some meltdown too. The conspirator in me says some evil bot tried to kill both open source ILS websites at the same time!

22:12 cait hm yes i think so
22:13 cait the manual says

23:51 barton During migration, we had a book marked as "missing" which had in fact been marked lost, and the fine was forgiven in the legacy system. The patron is now accruing fines on the "missing" item. If the status is set to "Lost", will the fines stop accruing?
