Now I can try upgrading a package install for the first time :D 02:38 dcook I seem to remember there was something funny with the Plugin paths in the Apache config... 02:38 eythian it'll be a little bit anti-climactic I'm afraid. 02:38 dcook Would these packages fix that or does that need to be done manually? 02:39 eythian I dunno, I don't think it does anything with plugins. There is a patch about this I need to look at. 02:39 eythian However, if you've changed something in /etc it won't undo your changes. 02:43 dcook So the package upgrade updates all the source code, but I suppose any other code/files generated through koha-create wouldn't be affected 02:43 dcook Which I suppose would probably just be the apache config in etc? 02:44 wizzyrea and koha-conf 02:44 wizzyrea well anything in /etc/koha/sites/name 02:44 eythian dcook: well yes, but also /etc is considered special by dpkg 02:45 dcook Cool beans 02:45 dcook Thanks for the info :) 02:50 tcohen hi eythian 02:50 eythian hello 02:52 tcohen so packages for 3.12.1 are ready? 02:52 tcohen I forgot to email you about that. sorry! 02:52 eythian yeah, I uploaded them about 15 minutes ago 02:54 tcohen yay koha-common upgraded :-D 03:02 tcohen bug 9890 eythian 03:02 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=9890 normal, P5 - low, ---, koha-bugs, Signed Off , Fix the new plugin system for package installs 03:02 eythian ah yeah 03:03 tcohen i also would like to note bug 8773, not the patch itself (which I reworked based on the problem you found) 03:03 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=8773 enhancement, P5 - low, ---, koha-bugs, Needs Signoff , Add per-instance koha-index-daemon in .deb setup 03:03 tcohen but the inclusion of an /etc/default/koha-common file 03:04 eythian oh, that plugin patch is really simple. 03:04 tcohen (with its init script modification 03:04 tcohen ) 03:05 eythian 3.10.07 packages published 03:06 tcohen bye #koha, gotta get some sleep 03:06 eythian later 03:11 eythian is git-bz not working for anyone else? 03:11 eythian I get a big dump of information about being a suspicious person. 03:11 wizzyrea ohhh did the bugzilla upgrade break it? 03:12 eythian quite possibly 03:13 eythian it looks like there's some CSRF protection introduced that's upsetting things 03:13 rangi i can live with that :) 03:13 rangi we were doing half arsed screen scraping crud anyway 03:14 * jcamins will not submit any patches that aren't getting paid for specifically without git-bz. 03:14 eythian isn't there an API for this sort of thing? 03:14 rangi yep 03:14 rangi 2 03:14 rangi jsonrpc and xmlrpc 03:15 eythian and they allow attachements? 03:15 eythian because we should use them, if so. 03:15 eythian or it might be a simple enough fix to make sure we get the right token from somewhere and pass taht along 03:15 rangi http://www.bugzilla.org/docs/4.0/en/html/api/Bugzilla/WebService/Bug.html#add_attachment 03:16 rangi http://www.bugzilla.org/docs/4.4/en/html/api/Bugzilla/WebService/Bug.html#add_attachment <-- the current version 03:17 rangi i had to hack bugzilla to turn the token check off last major upgrade 03:17 rangi im not super keen on doing that again 03:18 eythian could be a fun little project to learn both interacting with git and with bugzilla. 03:18 rangi < # check_token_data($token, 'create_attachment', 'index.cgi') if $token; 03:18 rangi --- 03:18 rangi > check_token_data($token, 'create_attachment', 'index.cgi') if $token; 03:19 rangi if someone promises to go clean up bugzilla if/when we get messed up with a malicious attachment ... i can comment that out again 03:20 rangi otherwise fixing git-bz seems a much better idea 03:21 eythian I suspect though that the time saved by being able to use bugzilla overall is significant greater than the time spent cleaning up attachments due to the disabled token check. 03:21 eythian s/use bugzilla/use git bz/ 03:21 rangi your volunteering then? 03:21 wizzyrea get the popcorn 03:21 wahanui http://i.imgur.com/p3cHE.gif 03:23 eythian my other alternative is to wait until you get annoyed at tedious manual attaching and just do it anyway, I don't think I have any patches to attach for a while :) 03:24 rangi its not just bad attachements, its anything you can change from that attachments.cgi page 03:25 cjh wizzyrea: living dangerously. 03:32 dcook Lunch time... 03:57 Oak kia ora #koha 04:07 JDatTeTakere Kia ora 04:18 dcook wheezy? 04:18 wahanui i heard wheezy was testing 04:18 dcook wheezy? 04:18 wahanui i heard wheezy was testing 04:19 eythian dcook: having an asthma attack? 04:19 dcook Just a little bit 04:19 dcook According to http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_3.x_on_Debian_Squeeze, Wheezy is supported now? That was one of those things I was hoping to one day have time for, but that never happened. 18:56 gmcharlt jcamins: OK. I'll target a fix for 10503 for stable series, and we'll see if we can get more Koha::Cache usage in place for 3.14 18:56 jcamins Makes sense. 19:08 nengard_phone oleonard, okay i fixed the error, but the ebook stuff still is a little screwy 19:08 nengard_phone can you look again when you get a chance 19:09 jcamins oleonard: do we have a style that can make an <a> link look like a submit button? 19:09 jcamins I feel like we must, but I'm having trouble finding it. 19:10 oleonard I only recall the reverse: styling a button to look like a link. 19:12 jcamins oleonard: and we don't want to use Bootstrap-style buttons for this sort of action button? 19:13 oleonard We simply have no plan in place for it, or arguments made pro or con 19:14 nengard_phone oh wait .. think i found it 19:15 jcamins Well, argument pro would be that there is apparently no way to style a link like a button at present. 19:17 oleonard What I mean by plan is a plan for whether to or how to convert styling of other buttons in Koha to Bootstrap 19:17 nengard http://model.bywatersolutions.com/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx=kw&q=world&limit=itype:EBK 19:18 oleonard We could certainly say "All new or changed pages should use a default Bootstrap style for all buttons." Not sure how others feel about it. 19:18 jcamins Ooh! I figured it out! 19:19 oleonard well done nengard 19:19 nengard :) 19:19 nengard now - i need to see if there is a bug for this 19:20 nengard but in master the tabs in the holding table aren't highlighted 19:20 nengard when selected 19:20 nengard also - oleonard do you know what might be causing the search bar at the top to lose the pulldowns: http://model.bywatersolutions.com/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=94756&query_desc=kw%2Cwrdl%3A%20open%20library 19:20 nengard is it more bad code of ours or a bug? 19:21 oleonard Firebug reports a problem with the jqTransform plugin, but I don't know what causes it 19:22 nengard that's not one of ours then 19:26 oleonard nengard: But it's a problem that doesn't affect master as far as I can tell 19:26 nengard hmmm 19:26 nengard okay 19:26 nengard let me pull more of our js out 19:27 oleonard It's ridiculous that the ccsr theme requires opaccolorstylesheet to be set to a specific value. 19:27 nengard hmmm ... well it's not that (the js or the colors.css) 19:28 jcamins Ah-ha! I figured it out! 19:28 rangi oleonard: there's an easy way to fix that 19:28 oleonard Finish my new theme and make the other ones go away? 19:28 jcamins I can make an a.submit tag look like button.submit. 19:29 rangi yep 19:29 rangi be rangi 19:29 wahanui There's a bug for that 19:29 rangi be rangi 19:29 wahanui Send a patch! 19:29 rangi :) 19:29 nengard i found the bug (the tab focus one) bug 10496 19:29 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10496 normal, P5 - low, ---, oleonard, NEW , opac tabs losing focus 19:33 rangi https://metacpan.org/module/Carp::Reply 19:35 jcamins Errr... what's a repl? 19:35 pianohacker read-eval-print-loop 19:36 jcamins Ah. 19:36 pianohacker What python/firebug/perl -de 1 give you 19:36 jcamins Got it. Nifty! 19:36 rangi yep very handy 19:36 pianohacker rangi: Do you have a preferred Perl REPL? perl -de 1 works, but has lotsa quirks :) 19:37 rangi the carp::reply one works really well the 2 times ive used it 19:38 pianohacker hah okay 19:38 pianohacker rangi: oh! by the way. Start a transaction at the beginning, then roll back. 19:40 rangi yep 19:40 rangi then you dont need to do all the deleting at the end 19:40 rangi and if it fails in the middle 19:41 rangi you dont end up wiht undeleted stuff 19:41 jcamins Hm. I have more indexing questions. What are the differences between the different types of index names (*:w , *: p , etc. ) used in biblio-zebra-indexdefs.xsl? example: <z:index name="Author:w Author:p Corporate-name:w Name:w"> (<target_index>Author:w</target_index> <target_index>Author:p</target_index> in biblio-koha-indexdefs.xml) 20:56 drnoe crap 20:57 drnoe Author: p (though I fixed all those) 20:59 jcamins understanding zebra indexing? 20:59 wahanui understanding zebra indexing is http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Understanding_Zebra_indexing 21:10 drnoe thanks jcamins, wahanui. I have been through that article and have not been able to glean the meaning of [indexname]:[letter] I am sort of guessing that : p is somehow phrase. not sure about:w, though it seems most used. The indexing article has examples from record.abs without trailing [index]:[letter]. biblio-zebra-indexdefs.xsl seems to use that format for every index. 21:10 jcamins zebra? 21:10 wahanui well, zebra is a fielded free text indexing and retrieval engine with a Z39.50 front-end. You can use any compatible, commercial, or freeware Z39.50 client to access data stored in Zebra. or the search engine koha uses 21:10 jcamins Hm. 21:11 jcamins Well, there's also Zebra documentation, somewhere. 21:11 jcamins wahanui: google zebra indexdata 21:11 wahanui jcamins: excuse me? 21:11 jcamins Aww. 21:11 jcamins @google zebra indexdata 21:11 huginn jcamins: Zebra | Index Data: <http://www.indexdata.com/zebra>; Zebra - User's Guide and Reference - Index Data: <http://www.indexdata.com/zebra/doc/>; Zebra - User's Guide and Reference - Index Data: <http://www.indexdata.com/zebra/doc/zebra.pdf>; 3.
