19:04 jcamins YUI--
19:05 jcamins @later tell oleonard Can we get rid of any of the YUI scripts at this point? (button-min.js, container_core-min.js, menu-min.js, utilities.js)
19:05 huginn jcamins: The operation succeeded.
21:25 wajasu maybe we can get the schema regenerated since its circa setp28th 2012
21:50 eythian hi
21:51 wajasu had to run enrolmentperioddate to categories. now my patron type are editable ;) that migration from 3.0.? to 3.10 was a bear. that one was missed. i'm going to do a diff on my current schema and th 3.12 I'm running against it.
21:51 wajasu s/run/add/
21:54 wajasu i was researching why some cover images don't who for amazon compared tothe 3.0 code. i looked at the Amazon.pm and it might have been stripping the trailing (v.1) from the isbn field back then. i wonder if thats going on now.
21:55 wajasu s/who/show/
22:02 cait hi eythian
22:06 jcamins Bug 10240
22:06 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10240 new feature, P5 - low, ---, jcamins, NEW , Offline circulation using HTML5 and IndexedDB
22:07 eythian @later tell magnus that should be sorted now. Looks like I missed the rebase step...
22:07 huginn eythian: The operation succeeded.
22:07 jcamins That should be ASSIGNED.
22:07 * jcamins ASSIGNs it.
22:07 * eythian ASSASSINATEs it
22:08 eythian also, hi there cait
22:08 * eythian checks to see if I made the same mistake for 3.12.00...looks like I didn't. That's good.
22:09 jcamins Bug 10240 is pretty cool, if I say so myself.
22:09 jcamins Not quite ready for sign off, but I thought people might want to see that there is progress.
22:09 rangi yep im looking forward to doig the qa on it ;)
22:10 cjh what an awesome idea
22:10 jcamins @later tell magnuse The way I'm doing the offline circ on bug 10240 changed, and it probably *would* work for Viktor for checking out lots of books at once.
22:10 huginn jcamins: The operation succeeded.
22:11 jcamins The worst part was actually figuring out how to generate the manifest.
22:11 cait bug 10240
22:11 wahanui bug 10240 is pretty cool, if I say so myself.
22:11 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10240 new feature, P5 - low, ---, jcamins, ASSIGNED , Offline circulation using HTML5 and IndexedDB
22:12 wajasu my librarian wants title of work($t) to show in details along with the author(s). is this worth pursuing as a syspref driven thing? or would one just customize the XSLT/TT?
22:13 rangi the latter
22:13 wahanui the latter is more perl critic friendly.
22:13 rangi but only the XSLT
22:13 jcamins I'd customize the XSLT.
22:14 wajasu but would you guys make it the default, or it it to academic for the details view to be accepted.
22:14 jcamins And I'd make the librarian explain exactly what the goal is, because that's not the actual goal.
22:15 jcamins I'd probably do it locally, actually. That's the point of the XSLT customization sysprefs.
22:16 jcamins My guess is the librarian wants to express the contents of bound-withs, which will require more than just showing $t to meet his/her needs.
22:16 wajasu the issue was BL545.H61 1981 the author having contributed works(books), in a latter publish work and the 830 fields cause multiple of the same authors to show inthe Author: and additional authors:. title of work would differentiate.
22:17 jcamins I suspect you're going to find that the change requires way more than just adding the $t.
22:18 * jcamins cheers, and goes to eat the dinner that finally came out of the oven.
22:18 wajasu you mean it would require more subfields to do it correctly?
22:19 cait good night all
22:19 wajasu also, my script that auto created authorities compared and included $t so those ended up as separate auths, so I must consilidate those :(
22:20 jcamins I mean it would require a serious reorganization, because "Additional authors: Goethe, Wolfgang von. The sorrows of young Werther." makes exactly no sense to anyone.
22:30 wajasu well, maybe if multiple authors are shown, we should we see if they are the same, and consolidate to one. (would have to handle the auth num and strng cases.) probably a pain for xslt.
22:40 jcamins Really the issues is that Anglo-American libraries have settled on a profoundly stupid format that utterly fails to express anything that patrons care about, while going on at great length about things patrons don't care about.
22:40 jcamins Fortunately for you, you're not tasked with fixing that. ;)
22:41 rangi :)
22:41 eythian unless you want to be...
22:42 jcamins eythian: yes! I want to suffer!
22:42 jcamins Wait, no.
22:42 wajasu :)
22:42 rangi @quote get 252
22:42 huginn rangi: Quote #252: "<@jcamins> Really the issues is that Anglo-American libraries have settled on a profoundly stupid format that utterly fails to express anything that patrons care about, while going on at great length about things patrons don't care about." 22:42 jcamins lol
22:42 rangi :)
22:42 jcamins I'm quotable!
22:43 trea ping wizzyrea
22:43 wizzyrea sup
22:43 wizzyrea @quote get 250

22:45 wajasu i am now looking into if or why the ISBN submitted to Amazon for cover images may still have trailing (v.1) instead of without it. I looked at 3.0x Amazon.pm and I think it used to strip that trailing stuff and images would get resolved.
22:45 jcamins Was that on a different channel? I see only wizzyrea calling it up in the logs.
22:46 rangi could be
22:47 wizzyrea actually I heard that one with my ears.
22:47 wizzyrea shocking, I know.
22:47 jcamins wizzyrea: !!
22:48 jcamins Is that what they're for. I thought they were underdeveloped IRC connectivity appendages.
22:48 cjh heh
23:12 wajasu bootstrap and glyphicons look nice
