10:47 krimsonkharne[m]   Bug 36452
10:23 krimsonkharne[m]   Joubu++
10:23 krimsonkharne[m]   will do!
10:22 krimsonkharne[m]   I should have known :D
10:22 Joubu              it was me
10:22 Joubu              yes please ;)
10:21 krimsonkharne[m] so should I post a bug (and while I am at it: the patch to fix it)?
10:21 krimsonkharne[m] (my element didn't display your user name, whoever that was... but thanks! :) )
10:20 krimsonkharne[m]   Someone++
10:20 krimsonkharne[m]   Hooray!
10:20 krimsonkharne[m]   yes, that works!
10:18 krimsonkharne[m]   aha, I'll try
10:17 pastebot Someone at 127.0.0.1 pasted "krimsonkharne[m] try this" (13 lines) at https://paste.koha-community.org/40910

10:17 krimsonkharne[m] I guess for display all content is put into a single <em> tag

10:15 krimsonkharne[m] The input is in the button below, "Add a new message"
10:14 paulderscheid[m] Where are they displayed?
10:14 paulderscheid[m] Ah, so the newline is respected just not in the staff notes.
10:14 paulderscheid[m] Where is the input?
10:14 krimsonkharne[m] scratch that, notes do display correctly.. just the staff messages then

10:13 krimsonkharne[m]   I guess the notes too
10:12 krimsonkharne[m] well, both OPAC and staff messages
10:09 paulderscheid[m] You mean the OPAC messages?
10:08 paulderscheid[m]   The what now?
10:07 krimsonkharne[m] (the OPAC display does seem to correctly display multiline messages, just not in the staff display)
10:04 krimsonkharne[m] can't find any bugs about it either, should I open one?
10:00 krimsonkharne[m] does anybody know about patron messages / patron notes if they can display a multiple-line message? Seems to me it's formatted as a single line after saving...
09:24 thd Joubu: Managing mail server IP reputation and nothing else may be the common service provided and a first hop mail server needs to provide some other things.
09:18 thd Joubu: I have been testing a Debian 12 installation of Postfix. An authenticated first hop mail server relay may well be a good approach. The first link from a Google query with a little configuration information for the designated purpose https://www.lunanode.com/guides/postfix_smtp_secure .
09:12 Joubu sorry but I don't have time for this, I don't know how to help for this battle
09:06 thd s/may validate/would not validate but Gmail, for example seems to only check for the presence of the DKIM signature not whether it is valid/
09:04 thd Joubu: There might be a way to relay to the mail provider after first using a Postfix instance which attaches a DKIM signature which may validate for many cases.
09:01 thd Not a good sign from a mail provider, however, there are equally big problems from having an IP address with good email reputation but where the IP address does not validate with the hosting provider or in a subnet with a problem member. I have that common Postfix validations will easily refuse connections for common reasons outside the control of the mail sender.
09:00 krimsonkharne[m]   Good morning #koha
08:54 huginn` Joubu: The operation succeeded.
08:54 Joubu @later tell thd got a reply: "there is no easy way to enable DKIM with this mail provider"
