03:49 Danyon Hello all, I'm the release maintainer for 21.11.x branch of Koha and i'm having an issue generating release notes, I believe i've run into this in the past but cannot remember for the life of me what the fix was. When attempting to generate the markdown notes I get the following errors
03:49 Danyon Use of uninitialized value $version in say at /home/danyonsewell/projects/kohaclone/../release-tools/lib/Koha/Release.pm line 35.
03:49 Danyon Use of uninitialized value $version in split at /home/danyonsewell/projects/kohaclone/../release-tools/lib/Koha/Release.pm line 36.
03:50 Danyon No usable version at /home/danyonsewell/projects/kohaclone/../release-tools/lib/Koha/Release.pm line 37.
03:50 mtj hi Danyon, whats the command you are using?
03:50 Danyon Have double checked the release-tools remote is up to date and am sitting on the correct branch
03:51 Danyon ../release-tools/bin/koha-release v21.11.24..HEAD notes
03:53 mtj hmm, that does seem ok
03:55 Danyon Yeah from memory i've run into this issue every time i've attempted to generate notes for a new release, my own mistake for not documenting what the fix was
03:55 mtj Danyon: you have a v21.11.24 tag in your repo?
03:56 Danyon I don't yet, that was next on the list of things to do
03:56 Danyon oh sorry ignore me, yes i have a v21.11.24 tag
03:59 mtj https://gitlab.com/koha-community/release-tools
03:59 mtj export PROJECTS_DIR=~/git
03:59 mtj Danyon: is your PROJECTS_DIR set?
04:01 mtj aah, its a docker version - which i havent used myself..
04:01 mtj Danyon: are you using a dockered version of release-tools?
04:02 Danyon I don't believe so, i've always generated from the local kohaclone
04:02 Danyon oh wait you know what, I think that might have been my workaround, jumping into ktd
04:02 Danyon "workaround" meaning the actual intended way to generate them haha
04:09 Danyon yep that worked as intended, thank you!
08:04 ashimema Morning

10:40 asif Help: when i loged in from koha staff panel using domain name and click on some funcation like administration it log me out but when i use IP address it works well can anyone help me
10:44 tcohen[m] hola #koha o/
10:51 oleonard asif: Have you double-checked the values for OPACBaseURL and staffClientBaseURL ?
10:59 asif olenard: both are blank
11:00 oleonard asif: You need to fill them in. "This should be a complete URL, starting with http:// or https://. Do not include a trailing slash in the URL"
11:02 asif can they be like http://exampe.edu.pk or with port like http://example.edu.pk
11:04 oleonard They can include the port like http://example.edu.pk:8081
11:05 asif ok
11:11 asif yes i did the changes but again when i click any place using domain name it loged me out
11:11 asif but i keep working wheni use IP address instead of domain name
11:12 oleonard asif: Maybe try clearing your browser cookies

13:17 angelic Hi koha. I hope everyone is OK. I have a question from OPAC search. When I search the word "melek" I reach this page https://snipboard.io/HN892K.jpg. When I search for the word "cevriye" I reach this page https://snipboard.io/DqrEkh.jpg. One of them shows me "Did you mean" alternatives, the other one does not. What is going on here. can someone explain to me please

13:49 caroline I didn't see the kohacon topic go by, but just a quick update: we sent out a survey last week (?), if you could fill it out it would help us organize it in a way that is most suitable for all; we still haven't booked the venue, but it's probably going to be at the "large" library (it's literally called "grande bibliothèque") which has a nice amphitheatre wired with all the streaming stuff already; we gave the perl community a deadline to get back to us
13:49 caroline and they didn't so we are abandoning the "pure" perl track idea, they will still be welcome to come and to present, but there will not be a special track
13:50 cait I put the link to the survey earlier
13:50 cait it will be in the minutes :)
13:53 caroline_catlady thanks cait!
13:55 angelic I'm sorry to interrupt the meeting.
13:58 cait angelic: you couldn#t know
13:59 thd LaurentDucos[m]: Are you half present?
13:59 cait Did you mean is using the authority data in your system
13:59 cait depending on which one you turned on it will look at different fields in the authorities
13:59 cait so one might have the see also and the ohter might have not or something like that
14:00 cait it's not using a dictionary or similar
14:00 tcohen[m] #koha a reminder for everyone about release dates:
14:00 tcohen[m] * Nov 5 - "Hard" feature freeze, nothing considered as an improvement will be pushed if not marked as Passed QA... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v3/download/matrix.org/ykaiSyzulMFdWmvFVrJjltJp>)
14:01 tcohen[m] ^^ We are on soft freeze and those are the next relevant dates
14:11 angelic cait: I am not sure!!? is that "Did you mean" part related to authorities?
14:14 angelic For some searches it suggest some alternatives, for other searches it only says "Now what you expected?"
14:20 angelic I am sorry. I am very new in koha. My questions may be irrelevant
14:42 oleonard angelic: I don't know how it works, but I think it shows "Not what you expected" when it wasn't able to come up with a suggested spelling alternative
14:45 angelic It is very staange. Because my when my Colleague made the same search for example "melek" she saw "Did you mean" page. She can see the alternative suggestions.
14:45 angelic strange*
14:48 angelic Before she have tried I had thought that it was related to the word that I am searching. But now I dont know what to think
14:56 oleonard That is strange angelic, I don't know what's going on. I'm not really familiar with the feature.
14:58 angelic Thanks oleonard :)

18:40 caroline_catlady ashimema or MatthewBlenkinsop[m] bug 15504, I just want to confirm that there is only one new system preference correct?
18:40 huginn` 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=15504 enhancement, P1 - high, ---, matt.blenkinsop, Needs documenting , Track Patron's Last Activity
19:17 davidnind caroline_catlady: I had a look since I tested this (it feels like a zillion years ago, but was only early September) - this bug removes TrackLastPatronActivity (was in at least 23.05) and replaces with TrackLastPatronActivityTriggers - if no "trigger" is selected then borrowers.lastseen is not updated. I'll update the release note.
19:17 caroline_catlady thanks davidnind! I wanted to confirm before updating the release notes
19:18 caroline_catlady I was looking for an "easy" doc submission while waiting for a db to load... there is no "easy" doc, lol, there is always something
19:21 davidnind When I tested, it was around 56 comments - now 194 - so a lot happened during the QA process!
19:21 davidnind Even the "simplest" changes can be complicated!
19:59 ashimema It grew
19:59 ashimema 😉
20:00 ashimema I think it's one pref, multiple options.. and more options added in followup bugs
20:03 davidnind I'm sure that is not possible 8-) I have just updated the release note - corrections and making it better are welcome!
21:25 caroline first merge request on the new "main" branch of the manual + first contribution with the "one manual to rule them all" in mind!
