05:38 Joubu @later tell cait I have not changed anything on pootle, only disabled the old koha-manual projects

11:55 marcelr ashimema around?
11:55 marcelr i added some comments on 29523 for your consideration..
12:14 Joubu marcelr, ashimema: maybe "unredacted" should only be use for "embed"
12:17 marcelr yeah, that sounds logical given the title of the report
12:52 Joubu @later tell tcohen[m] what about bug 33036 comment 23, point 6?

13:35 caroline did anybody ever work on a feature or plugin to "sell" stock in Koha? (when something is "checked out" or sold through the pos, the item is removed from inventory)
13:37 caroline for context, we have a new client who loans out pumps for mothers of premature babies , and while the pumps themselves must be brought back, there are things like tubes and stuff that cannot be reused, so they need to replace them after every checkin and they would like a way to monitor their inventory
13:37 cait ah yes
13:37 cait now again
13:37 cait krimsonkharne[m]:
13:39 krimsonkharne[m] cait: do you know if there is a possibility to automatically send a mail to the library when an ILL request is placed?
13:40 cait i don't think it's possible right now
13:40 cait PedroAmorim[m]: agreed?
13:40 cait maybe it could be built into the backend, but it#s not something we have been asked for
13:41 krimsonkharne[m] ok, thought as much. Cheers anyway :)
13:41 krimsonkharne[m] It's the first time one of our clients asked about it, I don't think it's highly needed either
13:42 krimsonkharne[m] just wondering because other Mails from ILL statuses are possible - e.g. ILL_REQUEST_CANCEL
13:42 krimsonkharne[m] (mails to the library itself that is!)
13:45 PedroAmorim[m] cait: I don't think it's possible atm no. krimsonkharne a simple plugin like "after_ILL_request_placed" would be great for this
13:45 PedroAmorim[m] you could then develop your own plugin to make use of the hook, and fire the e-mail etc on request placed
13:46 PedroAmorim[m] although it's the backend who creates the ILL request, some thought would likely be needed for this but in theory doable
13:46 PedroAmorim[m] * cait: I don't think it's possible atm no. krimsonkharne a simple plugin hook like "after\_ILL\_request\_placed" would be great for this
13:50 krimsonkharne[m] ok, will do!
13:50 krimsonkharne[m] thanks all :)
13:50 krimsonkharne[m] ashimema++ Pedro Amorim++ cait++
13:52 emlam caroline: Not that I know of. You could automatically withdraw those items when they get borrowed with the automatic item modifications by age tool...but I don't know of any plugins/features that would take them out of inventory directly
13:53 cait caroline: same - there are some old bugs about a feature like this
13:53 cait want me to go and dig?
13:55 caroline If you have time, sure!
13:55 cait i'll try if I can find it right away
13:56 cait bug 30184
13:56 huginn 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=30184 enhancement, P5 - low, ---, koha-bugs, NEW , Create statistical items that are returned immediately
13:57 cait hm thinking of that one - automatic item checkin could work - and then built a nice statistic on the "reusable" items
13:57 Joubu Can we just remove this captcha thing from the wiki?...
13:57 cait the math thing?
13:57 cait not sure
13:58 caroline we were thinking of using a subfield to enter the "quantity" available and every checkout would -1 on that and have a warning or something when it gets lower than X
13:58 caroline (it's very hacky though)
13:59 cait i wonder if we coudl combine something
13:59 cait like... create a self destroying item
13:59 cait then you could use the item count for stocktaking
13:59 caroline self destroying item lol!
13:59 cait say we do automatic checking and change hte location/not for loan on checkin?
14:00 cait that woud work with the pref hopefully
14:01 cait When I log in after running the web installer, ihave this: Template process failed: undef error - The method Koha::AdditionalContent->additional_content_id is not covered by tests!
14:01 cait is this filed/fixed?
14:02 cait ah ok, realized I was not on latest master, it's ok now
14:03 cait caroline: UpdateNotForLoanStatusOnCheckin - setting them to "used" or so on return
14:03 cait and use the automatic checkin to get them off accounts
14:05 caroline I'll look at that, thank you!
14:06 cait just brainstorming
14:06 cait ther eis another bug I didn't find for items that don't need to be returned...
14:08 cait caroline: or maybe a plugin - we use the after checout hook to return ILL materials, then youcould build it into that
14:17 paulderscheid[m] <ashimema> "is there nowhere to put opening..." <- This would be great! But I searched the whole system and there isn't.
14:18 paulderscheid[m] New table, huh?
14:33 cait paulderscheid[m]: opening hours?
14:33 cait there is a patch from Aleisha for that
14:33 cait if you want to check it
14:33 paulderscheid[m] yeah
14:33 paulderscheid[m] Is that it: bug 6796
14:33 huginn 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=6796 enhancement, P5 - low, ---, aleisha, ASSIGNED , Overnight checkouts taking into account opening and closing hours
14:33 paulderscheid[m] ?
14:33 cait yes
14:34 cait woudl be great to get another opinion and there were some issues with the GUI
14:34 cait I18N mostly
14:34 paulderscheid[m] Yeah, bet
14:34 caroline just saying, the calendar we propose has opening hours...
14:34 paulderscheid[m] This is always a thing w/ datetimes
14:34 cait also good to check that then
14:35 caroline and hourly checkouts take those into account
14:35 cait i meant checking yoru bug too
14:35 paulderscheid[m] Wow, that bug has been in existence for 12 years :D
14:36 caroline bug 17015 if you want to have a look
14:36 huginn 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=17015 enhancement, P5 - low, ---, maryse.simard, Failed QA , New Koha Calendar
14:37 caroline what it looks like in 23.05 https://snipboard.io/KfSI0O.jpg
14:49 paulderscheid[m] Maybe we can do another omni-bus for calendar and opening hours related stuff and start w/ the table and the objects.
14:53 cait why do I not get any helpful info from this failing test? :(
14:55 Joubu cait: which one?
14:55 cait I am tring to write more tests for sendalerts
14:55 Joubu sendalerts... oops
14:55 cait the thing is, the firt half works
14:55 cait the second half that is very similar does not
14:56 Joubu playing with fake email?
14:56 cait yeah
14:57 cait i have the ones for acqorder working fine
14:57 cait and now want to write some for claimissue
14:57 cait it#s the same pattern, but something is swrong
14:57 cait and i only get a "failed" from the test with -v too
14:57 cait so grr.
14:58 cait I am just undoing everything and redoing it
14:59 Joubu isn't there a failure_code?
14:59 cait no
14:59 cait that's the thing
14:59 cait not ok 90 - SendAlerts - claimissue
14:59 cait # Failed test 'SendAlerts - claimissue'
14:59 cait # at t/db_dependent/Letters.t line 811.
14:59 cait             811 is the closing }
15:01 emlam could there be punctuation missing somewhere? error on the closing } sounds to me like the interpreter was looking for something else to close and it didn't
15:02 cait yes, I am just not spotting it :(
15:03 emlam :(
15:03 Joubu the subtest is not long, try to put warns in it
15:03 Joubu and see from which one it stops
15:03 Joubu (yes sorry, nothing better to suggest)
15:04 cait any help appreciated :)
15:05 cait adding these lines breaks it, but it#s the exact code it uses ealrier - i just want to rerun it with changed config
15:05 cait             warning_like {
15:05 cait             $err = SendAlerts( 'claimissues', \@serialids , 'TESTSERIALCLAIM' ) }
15:05 cait qr|Fake send_or_die|,
15:05 cait             "SendAlerts is using the mocked send_or_die routine (claimissues)";
15:07 Joubu Sorry, I have to go! I can have a look tomorrow
15:08 cait thx for offering to help, I'll stare at this a little longer and then go home too )
15:10 emlam I would also like to help...but that code has
15:10 emlam whoops
15:10 emlam some perlisms that I do not understand yet
15:10 cait all good, thx emlam :)
15:10 cait i am guessing y way out of this ;)
15:10 emlam I wonder if it has to do with *where* you pasted it? like if you accidentally pasted it above a bracket instead of below or soemthing like that?
15:11 cait yeah, i tried some different spots too
15:15 cait i exactly copy the working tests - it still fails
15:15 cait this is... strange
15:15 cait an no helpful error
15:16 emlam weird =/
15:16 cait Dubious, test returned 1 (wstat 256, 0x100)
15:24 cait I am makign progess
15:24 cait althoughI still not know what it was so unhappy about
15:42 cait @later tell ashimema I wrote the unit tets for bug 20755 - hope you agree :) perltidy was a bit messy in that file
15:42 huginn cait: The operation succeeded.
16:25 reiveune bye
