17:15 cait re Zotero question: it seems it shows the translator it used as source, and the one for Koha is named "Library Catalog (Koha)"
17:06 wizzyrea                oh oleonard++
16:42 cait                    hm https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Technik/Labs/Citoid/Zotero it's a Format
16:41 cait library says that Zotero shows source of things from their catalog as : Library Catalog (Koha) - trying to find out why
16:39 cait                    oleonard++
16:39 cait                    counting differently
16:39 cait                    :)

16:37 oleonard wizzyrea: I can try to get to it but I'm having devbox issues today :(
16:37 cait someone good with Zotero?
16:37 oleonard cait: I would prefer my version (if it works for you) because it does it the DataTables way
16:37 cait                    :(
16:37 cait problem is lack of overdrive credentials :
16:36 wizzyrea                and so smol
16:36 cait do both work or should i prefer the second?
16:36 huginn Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=23537 enhancement, P5 - low, ---, wizzyrea, Needs Signoff , Overdrive won't show complete results if the Overdrive object doesn't have a primaryCreator
16:36 wizzyrea can anyone test bug 23537 it's an overdrive one
16:36 cait                    oleonard: thx :)
16:35 oleonard Where column(0) is the column you want... 11 I guess?
16:35 oleonard                cait this also works for me: $("#course-items-table").DataTable().column(0).visible(0);
16:05 cait                    $("table#course-items-table td:nth-child(11),th:nth-child(11)").hide(); better
16:04 cait maybe i am doing this all wrong...

16:03 cait trying to get the one from the wiki to workon course reserves an dfailing
16:03 cait ... does someone have a trick to hide columns from datatables for me?
16:01 * ashimema didn't know that trick either
16:01 cait                    ... *sends cookies*
16:01 cait I just wanted to share a trick
15:59 * caroline_crazycatlady feels like a failure as a librarian because she couldn't find closed bugs
15:59 * ashimema sometimes uses google site search to good results
15:58 cait in the normal search window, then you fnd the pushed/closed ones as well
15:58 caroline_crazycatlady I can't always find what I'm looking for, so probably not
15:58 caroline_crazycatlady   hum, I'm not sure
15:57 cait the easiest way is: ALL keywords...
15:57 cait caroline_crazycatlady: do you know how to saearch for closed bugs in bugzilla?
15:56 koha-jenkins            Project Koha_19.05_D8 build #36: SUCCESS in 42 min: https://jenkins.koha-community.org/job/Koha_19.05_D8/36/
15:56 ashimema in theory.. new features and enhancements shouldn't make it into stables.
15:55 ashimema if it's a new feature.. you're best looking at the .00 release notes as they're the most complete in terms of 'everything added'..
15:55 ashimema our release notes make things somewhat hard as we include stuff in multiple sets of notes in parallel
15:54 ashimema that's something rangi and I were both keen to add at some point
15:54 ashimema we don't yet have a nice chronoligical display of feature additions in Koha..
15:54 ashimema                but..
15:54 ashimema and the release ntoes of rebuilt rather regularly in a repo which is publically accessible
15:53 ashimema we've already improved the recording of it in bugzilla..
15:53 ashimema thd, caroline_crazycatlady regarding versions a feature was introduced.. there is ongoing work to improve that process..

13:48 thd I think it may be useful in some instances in some place to note when some feature was introduced as a means of guiding people to new things or old things worth giving attention.
13:43 caroline_crazycatlady It was only because a client was inquiring after something that was written in the manual, but it wasn't the same in her interface, so I said it was a newish feature and that part of the manual probably hadn't been updated yet, she didn't ask more questions, so I moved on :)
13:40 thd So you could try to devise a query to only get results from some particular file with release notes.
13:39 magnuse if you know the bug number then rm/rmaint has been putting the version things will be included in in comments on bz for some time now?
13:38 caroline_crazycatlady   I didn't try that
13:38 caroline_crazycatlady   ah ok
13:38 caroline_crazycatlady it seemed like a lot of manual work
13:38 thd The least efficient method involved using the query feature of the Git web interface.
13:38 caroline_crazycatlady the other one was an index?
13:37 thd Only the most efficient method involved programming.
13:37 caroline_crazycatlady yes but it involved programming, which I don't know
13:35 thd                     s/systematically after/systematically if/
13:34 thd I gave some suggestions yesterday on IRC after you had asked about how you might be able to find the answer systematically after it would be useful in the future.
13:33 caroline_crazycatlady   no, I just said "it was a newish feature" :)
13:33 thd caroline_crazycatlady: Did you find an efficient method to identify what version of Koha some feature was introduced?
13:22 magnuse                 hiya caroline_crazycatlady
13:22 thd                     Good morning caroline_crazycatlady
13:18 thd Postgres to MySQL conversion for the Wiki is going well except I seem to need to escape and then quote the data columns which the original conversion script left out.
13:16 caroline_crazycatlady   good morning everyone!
13:15 thd                     Ok.
13:15 ashimema                next week
13:15 oleonard And there's another entry for the same time next week
13:15 thd Oh, until postponed until when?
13:15 oleonard thd: My Google calendar says "postponed"
13:12 thd Is there a meeting now?
13:04 ashimema                :)
13:04 oleonard                :)
13:04 * oleonard was just going to suggest bor_issues_top.pl
13:04 ashimema                cat_issues_top looks promising :)
13:03 ashimema                thanks :)
13:03 oleonard ashimema: We use two datepicker inputs which are linked so that one must be before the other. I think the canned reports probably have some examples
12:57 kidclamp or try setting it, then rebooting the devbo
12:57 ashimema                s/UX//
12:57 kidclamp                restart_all; sudo service mysql restart; restart_all;
12:57 ashimema brain failing today.. any good UX examples of picking a date range in koha anywhere?
12:46 * oleonard can't seem to get it to work
12:35 oleonard Oh dang I looked there and missed that
12:35 kidclamp and restart all the things - I think you need to restart mysql as well
12:34 kidclamp                in koha-conf.xml
12:34 kidclamp                <strict_sql_modes>0</strict_sql_modes>

12:34 oleonard kidclamp: Testing Bug 23484, is there an easy way to switch sql mode?
12:32 * kidclamp              spins
12:32 oleonard                kidclamp around?

10:22 cait                    12 september
10:20 ashimema when did it move to?
10:19 cait ashimema: can you take care of the moved meeting for docs?
10:10 magnuse                 all the fun!
09:53 davidnind               even more fun!
09:52 ashimema lol.. well at this point I've found that something I pushed to master the day before going away has broken what I'm demoing.. so frantically trying to fix it ;P
09:52 davidnind sounds 'fun', hope it goes well!
09:51 cait                    good luck :)
09:51 ashimema will be back into the swing of things very soon.. just clearing the massive email backlog and prepping for a demo I have to deliver later today
09:50 ashimema                deffo
09:50 * cait whispers vacation brain
09:47 davidnind things must be busy :)
09:47 davidnind               ashimema++
09:43 * ashimema feels really bad having just realised he entirely missed the dev meeting yesterday
09:42 davidnind not sure that I'm that important, but thanks cait!:-D
09:36 cait so we could fix this and more people might show up
09:36 davidnind have been a few very long days at wok over the last two weeks...
09:36 cait the meetings haven't made it into the calendar (looks at ashimema)
09:35 cait nah, i think it would be ok
09:35 cait I will be travelling next week, so might not make it, but you are more important :)
09:35 davidnind do you think th eothers will mind? feel a bit bad about it...
09:35 cait                    i totally undertand,
09:34 davidnind cait: thinking I might have to defer the meeting to next week, having trouble staying awake (and it's only 9:30pm!)
09:30 cait have to leave for an appointment
09:30 cait davidnind: i can only make the first half hour of docs meetin glater today
09:24 davidnind               bws++ :)
09:23 cait davidnind: bws++ too for writing it :)
09:20 magnuse                 yeah, awesome!
09:18 davidnind thanks for responding to the Twitter thing about how to show "You saved $x... by using the library" on receipt slips
09:17 davidnind               oleonard++
09:17 davidnind               cait++
08:57 magnuse yeah, the ids are numeric at least
08:57 magnuse                 misc/link_bibs_to_authorities.pl
08:55 cait and will onyl work if your records use numeric ids
08:54 cait yeah... ew import the records already linked nicely, that's why we changed the importer to keep the number, but it causes other issues
08:54 * magnuse has not really worked with authorities before
08:54 cait auth_to_bibs or something like that (we don't use it... but it's probably better if you do)
08:54 cait                    the linker script
08:54 magnuse problem is, i have some authorities with an id and some records that use that id, so i would like to keep the external id
08:53 magnuse cait: what do you actually mean by "the linker"?
08:48 cait and writes Koha's internal number in 001 - if you use the linker, that woudl be what you want
08:47 cait i think it moves them into a 035
08:47 cait but it was something it changed that we didn't want tit to...
08:47 cait magnuse: we have hacked the importer... i don#t remember :P
08:29 magnuse soo... when you import auth records the 001 is changed to be the authid from koha?
08:24 cait                    ok, meetings.. bbl
08:23 cait yeah, short and sweet is great too :)
08:23 paxed                   ah
08:23 ashimema "we did 'x' at 'y' and it was great" sort of thing
08:22 ashimema I was only tihnking of a 3 scentance summary.. nothing huge
08:21 paxed if someone has the tuits to write an english report on it, sure.
08:20 ashimema even a report of how it went would be awesome in community newletter.. encourages others to do similar things
08:19 paxed maybe a bit late now, will have to remember it for next year
08:16 cait nice to see the international activities and especially finland is getting a huge Koha country it seems :)
08:16 cait paxed: maybe could send that in for the newsletter?
08:14 magnuse                 Very Cool!
08:08 ashimema awesome to see paxed :)
08:06 paxed https://koha-suomi.fi/?page_id=48 (in finnish only)
08:05 paxed magnuse: i'd guesstimate maybe 90 people... reps from each library consortium using koha in finland, and some others. no hackfest, sorry. :P
08:01 magnuse paxed: cool! how many attendees? and is there a hackfest? :-)
07:57 paxed we've got our own koha seminar in Finland at end of next week
07:57 cait need to take care of train tickets too next week, when calire is back
07:57 cait really glad to hear that
07:46 * ashimema adds 'book flights to Marseille' to his high priority list
07:06 * andreashm wonders what happened to the topics that were there previously in the hackfest doc?
07:04 andreashm               yay!
07:03 magnuse                 ooh, marseille!
07:03 magnuse                 welcome back ashimema
06:50 alex_a                  Bonjour
