22:24 wizzyrea cait: hehe
22:22 wizzyrea I"m sorry.
22:22 wizzyrea oh no.
22:22 wizzyrea (I've never used it)
22:22 tcohen and you remind it to me
22:22 wizzyrea I think it's ok, used responsibly
22:22 tcohen i missed many things when I played FAllout
22:22 tcohen oh noes
22:22 wizzyrea tcohen: the notion reminds me of something like the Fallout configurator mod, which lets you muck with the innards of the game from a handy UI.
22:21 wizzyrea sounds awesome and terrifying
22:21 cait wizzyrea: superlibrarian sidekick? :)
22:21 wizzyrea that lets one do that stuff?
22:21 wizzyrea i mean a super secret control panel
22:20 wizzyrea teehee
22:20 tcohen LOL
22:20 tcohen we were so young
22:20 tcohen like restart zebra he
22:20 tcohen he
22:20 wizzyrea it's understandable
22:20 tcohen had some handy buttons added
22:20 wizzyrea 3.1 was a confusing time
22:20 tcohen (we didn't know .1 was for dev version)
22:20 tcohen our first Koha install (3.1.something)
22:19 wizzyrea the megalibrarian or something
22:19 wizzyrea terrifying and wondrous at the same time.
22:18 wizzyrea who know what pushing the button to say, reindex everything, means.
22:18 wizzyrea and a special page that is only for those
22:18 rangi and hi edveal too
22:18 rangi hi rocio :)
22:18 cait but can't go on the server to start jobs... heh
22:18 cait ...
22:18 cait it could help when you cheat changing things with sql
22:18 wizzyrea it makes me think that we need a level above superlibrarian
22:18 * tcohen is curious
22:18 wizzyrea you know what this makes me think of
22:17 wizzyrea a Reindex Now button would be both terrifying and amazing.
22:16 tcohen it actually queues stuff for the indexing daemon
22:16 wizzyrea cosign
22:16 wizzyrea excellent. I like that.
22:16 tcohen exactly
22:16 wizzyrea oh do you mean like a full reindex, not a partial one
22:16 tcohen fi the users have those kind of abilities
22:16 wizzyrea not that it's a reason to not do it!
22:16 tcohen and I thought i could only cope with those
22:15 wizzyrea I do too, but was suddenly wondering if we still need it with the zebra daemon that picks things up so quickly
22:15 tcohen i got several requests of Koha-as-a-service on monday
22:15 * cait waves at rocio
22:15 cait :)
22:15 cait i like it
22:15 tcohen wizzyrea: i thought, what would be semi-useful?
22:14 wahanui the plugin is written by JavaScript or perl?
22:14 wizzyrea the plugin
22:14 wizzyrea tcohen: just for funsies?
22:13 cait hi tcohen :)
22:13 tcohen hi wizzyrea!
22:13 tcohen hi cait!
22:13 cait me too :)
22:13 tcohen I really missed Kohacon16
22:13 tcohen I'm anxious to meet people in Marseille
22:12 rangi cool
22:11 tcohen that puts stuff in zebraqueue
22:11 tcohen he
22:11 tcohen is just a "Reindex" button
22:10 tcohen to test myself what can they be useful for
22:10 tcohen writing a koha plugin
22:10 tcohen i'm doing fine
22:09 * cait waves .)
22:07 wizzyrea hi tcohen and cait
22:05 rangi not too bad, bit of a cold, but getting better, you?
22:05 tcohen how are you doing?
22:05 rangi hey tcohen
22:05 tcohen hi
20:49 cait waves even
20:48 * cait eaves
20:48 * Dyrcona calls it a day, for now. Likely back later.
20:44 drojf but i got to go to bed. to vienna tomorrow. good night #koha
20:43 drojf rangi: it was verynice:)
20:42 drojf hm why is this thing loggedin when i can't see it? android is spooky
20:42 Dyrcona I just did Evergreen 2.9.8, but it hasn't gone on the website, yet.
20:42 rangi :)
20:41 Dyrcona I guess yesterday for you, rangi. :)
20:41 Dyrcona Heh. Today is an Evergreen release day, too.
20:27 rangi heya drojf :) recovered from the jransom whirlwind? :)

15:46 archer121 so I will report my first bug!!! ya ya (jumbing around)
15:45 oleonard Yes that sounds like a bug.
15:45 archer121 yeah
15:45 oleonard Oh I see. You have reached the maximum number of checkouts, but you want to renew something.
15:45 archer121 which I feel is not logically correct.
15:44 archer121 yes. but it does not allow me to do this if I have reached the max checout limit.
15:44 oleonard Does that not seem correct to you?
15:44 oleonard archer121: If you try to check something out which you already have checked out Koha considers that a renewal
15:43 archer121 oleonard: I think I have found a bug in koha. Tell me what you think about it: When I try to check out a book that has been already checked out to a me, koha asks me if I want to renew instead. This feature does not work if max-checkouts is reached.
15:41 rsantellan and manually
15:41 rsantellan I start up a vagrant with ubuntu 14.04 and execute all the installation scripts on the provisioning
15:39 rsantellan I'm behind a proxy that I can't start up vagrant versions with ansible, puppet, chef
15:39 oleonard archer121: You batch renew items on a single patron's account, but not across multiple patrons. Is that what you mean?
15:38 tcohen what is your specific situation?
15:36 rsantellan tcohen I look at kohadevbox and I'm trying to apply that to my situation
15:36 reiveune bye
15:16 archer121 Is there a batch renew option in koha?
15:16 wahanui bidet, archer121
15:16 archer121 Hi
15:08 drojf i did a bit about agpl to try to address the concerns i could find and bring it up again in marseille. (well i did it a while ago but i postponed bringing it up because meetings were full with other stuff). but that is something "we" would have to enforce and i think the questions have obvious answers. when it comes to getting sued by a multi billion dollar corporation i#d be more careful ;)
15:05 drojf yes. the only thing i can do is raise concerns. i can't do any legal analysis. i did not even care to read the links because i know that does not help me. i can only say "that sounds scary" but in the end having a vote on it does not make it "the law"
15:04 tcohen or keep being in fear with no real reason
15:04 tcohen yeah, we could convince ourselves and still get sued or compromise the project
15:03 drojf yes definitely. it takes time that we don't have to do talk that we don't know for sure
15:02 tcohen we waste our time if we spend too much time teorizing about legal stuff, if we will still be in fear
15:02 tcohen we want to discuss the technical part of it, if the legal one is solved
15:01 tcohen drojf: we are not lawyers, so that's the way to go.
14:54 drojf what is the actual status of the community fundraising account? :P
14:54 drojf tcohen: good question (ml), we should probably have a koha lawyer
14:23 tcohen rsantellan: have you looked at https://github.com/digibib/kohadevbox
13:43 tcohen omn the same page here hehe
13:36 drojf omg so much to do before. lol
13:36 drojf only 3 weeks
13:35 drojf indeed!
13:35 tcohen so we'll meet soon!
13:35 tcohen hey drojf
13:34 drojf hi tcohen
12:59 rsantellan morning tchohen!
12:58 tcohen morning
12:07 rsantellan good morning, those anybody knows how to re populate the field copyrightdate on the table biblos? Should I parse all the 260^c ?
11:47 wahanui hi olé onard
11:47 eythian hi oleonard
11:35 magnuse hiya oleonard
11:31 oleonard Hi all
09:37 eythian that too, yeah
09:37 drojf ah yeah a pokething, right there in the pool of bikes. happens all the time these days
09:34 eythian yeah, but it's common for people to stand around texting or whatever, so he probably didn't pay too much attention I guess.
09:33 drojf s/in the second/after he gets out again
09:33 drojf it's funny how the guy in the first video thinks the thief is weird but does not care in the second that he is still there
09:30 drojf lol that#s creepy
09:30 eythian https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSZPNwZex9s <-- drojf, when you visit, get one of these
09:29 eythian (they key for my chain lock looks like one of those higher-security building keys that have surfaces at various angles etc.)
09:27 eythian heh
09:26 drojf i went to sweden with that bike 10 years ago. friends from there were puzzled that i have two locks. see what happens if you got only one
09:26 eythian https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pEhUhgXg44 <-- watch this from about 30s in
09:25 drojf if you really want it, i guess you can open all the locks. i started staring at bikes and locks after that. i hope that will go away ;)
09:24 drojf yes. i did not really expect it to happen during the day in that street. well, i know better now
09:23 drojf bc the other is pretty much turned around now and hit a car with the back
09:23 drojf there was another bike next to it. looks like they tried both and mine was weaker
09:23 eythian it takes seconds for someone good at it
09:22 drojf i used to have two. one broke not long ago, i meant to get a better one. but one thing at a time, i was repairing all the things. and i only had it in the basement or indoors at the office. or sat on it. apart from going to a store or something for half an hour. yesterday it was out max 4h. i suppose somebody grabbed it right after i went inside
09:20 eythian because otherwise it'll probably end up in a canal
09:20 eythian but, even the cheap crappy bikes usually have two locks.
09:20 eythian yeah. My bike (which is fairly expensive and fancy) has two locks always, one costs about €40, and the other one is strongly connected to the frame.
09:20 drojf omafiets might have problems going in the woods :)
09:19 drojf but i assume it lies somewhere in a river already
09:19 drojf my hope is they will fix the back tire and the brakes and then get caught and i had a free repair
09:18 drojf yep, buy the stolen bike of somebody else. lol
09:17 eythian €20 from the dodgy looking guy at Waterlooplein...
09:16 eythian well you should come here and buy a bike too then, get a nice omafiets or something.
09:16 drojf and yes, i was planning on bringing it when i come to amsterdam
09:16 drojf picked it up again. i have been biking before ;) but not for a longer while
09:15 drojf not sure if ii should get a really cheap one in between. i only picked up biking a few weeks ago and it felt great. can't see not having any now
09:15 drojf yes my lock was not great. but the bike wasn't either, i could not really imagine anyone would bother to steal it
09:14 eythian bugger. Well, what you should do when you get a replacement is come visit here and go bike lock shopping. They're pretty expert at that sort of thing here.
09:13 drojf i was thinking about getting a nicer one end of the year if everything works out as planned. but i can't now. and it was really helpful for stress relief >:(
09:11 drojf it was really not fancy, several parts need replacement. i canät imagine anyone paying more than 50€ for it on a flea market. fuckers
09:10 drojf i always kept it in the basement. only left it there because i wanted to go and get a new part after lunch
09:09 drojf stolen in front of my house in bright daylight
09:09 drojf "lose" is a friendly description
09:01 eythian lose your wheels?
09:00 drojf bike_thieves--
