04:40 archer121 hi, koha!
04:41 archer121 if anyone has experience integrating devices using SIP2 on koha, I have a few general questions on integgration.
04:42 archer121 Firstly, can I go a manual check-in/out from a staff login using the SIP2 configured device to read the patron/book information?
04:44 archer121 go=do

07:02 morgane hi koha
07:02 morgane :)
07:11 cait hi morgane
07:11 cait :)
07:14 drojf morning #koha
07:20 gaetan_B hello
07:20 wahanui hi, gaetan_B
07:44 marcelr hi #koha
08:09 drojf hi marcelr und gaetan_B
08:09 marcelr hi drojf
08:09 marcelr and gaetan_B
08:09 wahanui gaetan_B is working at Biblibre and did the nice new start page together with asaurat or a fan of icons
08:10 cait ah asaurat...
08:10 drojf he was in edinburgh, right?
08:10 drojf hi cait
08:10 marcelr and cait!
08:11 cait hi drojf and marcelr :)
08:11 cait drojf: yep
08:12 drojf hm no kohacon bids?
08:12 drojf new ones i mean
08:14 drojf now that we had proposals very early, do we ask bidders to reinforce it?
08:17 cait hm
08:17 drojf the only proposal that works for 2017 according to our guidelines is basically copy and paste done by mtompset in september 2015. and he is not on the list of contacts for the event
08:17 cait maybe they shoudl say 'ye we still want to'
08:17 cait yeah...
08:17 drojf i don't remember seeing anything else of anyone involved since then. which we did not ask for, but i think we should
08:18 cait if they still want it should not be a big thing to get a short email saying so
08:18 drojf yes nothing fancy, but a yes we will still want to do it by the people listed there
08:18 drojf as we probably won't vote, it would be awkward to give it to somebody and they don't work with koha anymore or whatever
08:19 drojf (i don't think that is the case)
08:21 drojf none of the contacts has an email there :/
08:21 drojf so do i contact the national library? they are the first on the list
08:22 drojf the contacts don't say where they belong to
08:32 drojf dear log reader. here ends my little monologue
08:59 cait when is the next meeting?
08:59 cait next week i think... but is that general or dev?
08:59 drojf too late
09:00 cait what did you do? :)
09:00 drojf emailed the list
09:10 * drojf just makes up rules if nobody talks to him
09:10 drojf :P

10:09 marcelr hi all: could anyone sign off on bug 16929 ?
10:09 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=16929 normal, P5 - low, ---, m.de.rooy, Needs Signoff , Prevent opac-memberentry waiting for random chars
10:09 marcelr we now have security patches on top of that one
10:10 frayo Hello, Could someone help me? I'm developing a self-service application that communicates via SIP2 with Koha. I can make check in operations correctly but the operation is not performed (120) when I try to make a check out and does not show any message in the AF field. Can be any configuration parameter?
10:11 frayo Thanks in advance
10:42 cait did you use a correct staff patron login to start with?
10:42 cait does that staff user have circulate permissions?
10:53 frayo Hi cait, thanks you for your response. I think so, I´m using a patron with absolutely permissions for test.
10:54 frayo (superlibrarian)
11:02 marcelr hmm is member-password broken ?
11:10 frayo What is "member-password broken"? Users do login only with barcode.
11:10 eythian I suspect marcelr is talking about something else
11:11 marcelr yes that is a correct assumption
11:11 marcelr talking about that script
11:11 frayo ups, ok
11:45 marcelr drojf++ for your interest in bug 16929 and packaging support of course
11:45 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=16929 normal, P5 - low, ---, m.de.rooy, Needs Signoff , Prevent opac-memberentry waiting for random chars
11:45 marcelr have to go now
11:45 marcelr bye all
11:46 cait            drojf++
12:37 tcohen bonjour
12:37 nengard hola
12:43 tcohen hi nengard
12:43 tcohen @later tell bag ping me when you're available
12:43 huginn tcohen: The operation succeeded.
14:32 tylathos hey folks
14:34 tylathos i got a problem. i succesfully migrated the user from my old system to koha. now i want to set a password for each of the user. It should be simple they cardnumber for the beginning. unfortunately the encryption for the passwords arn't md5, so i can't run a mysql script? is there any way to set the password for all user?
14:36 * tylathos slaps cait around a bit with a large fishbot
14:47 * druthb wonders what madness would provoke anyone to slap cait around. She's the awesomest!
15:00 morgane Hi, there is an koha object for borrowers? I don't find a corresponding pm script in the koha repertory.
15:02 lari morgane: it was renamed to Koha::Patron
15:02 morgane lari: oh! ok thanks
15:12 morgane bye #koha :)
16:02 nengard Hey all, how do I find out when the error message that says "You do not have permission to edit this patron's login information." was added to Koha
16:02 nengard like what version did we block staff from changing other staff's permissions?
16:03 nengard right now you need permission to assign permissions to be able to change passwords
16:03 nengard I want to know when that was added and then will report a bug cause this is silly :)
16:07 eythian I'd git grep for the message, then git blame on the file to see the commit it came from, and then git show to see the bug.
16:11 nengard the blame part is the part i'm still learning
16:11 nengard not sure the sytax to blame on that line
16:41 eythian nengard: you don't, you blame on the file and scroll to the line
16:41 eythian Or search for it
16:41 nengard yeah - khall helped me :)
16:55 eythian Sweet
17:18 gaetan_B bye
17:30 cait nengard_lunch: i suspect the behaviour is actually older - our libraries always had that problem apart from when you got superlibrarian or permissions
17:30 cait we usually tell them to use the opac for changing their passwords
17:30 nengard cait I found it in 2011 code
17:30 nengard so yeah it's been there
19:15 Tylathos Hey :)
20:00 bag hiya cait
