07:26 JesseDhammu hello friends... i have some problem with my koha installation ...
07:29 JesseDhammu yesterday it disconnected from the MYSQL database,
07:30 JesseDhammu so somehow i managed to start the service and it started to work .. but from then.my koha client screen and even opac screen is showing session time out error ..
07:31 JesseDhammu even if i login again and again, whenever i try to perform any action on the screen e.g. check in check out, making some system changes .. or even if i clink on any option, it gives me the error of sesion timed out ..
07:31 JesseDhammu and then i have to re login ..
07:32 JesseDhammu i checked the time out limit in system prefrences .. but when i try to save the new value, there it gives an error that can not save your changes, please login again ..
07:32 JesseDhammu please help me with this ...
07:40 JesseDhammu hello,, is anybody listing ...??
07:43 JesseDhammu #koha in the blind.....

08:07 Joubu hello #koha
08:08 Joubu JesseDhammu: something in the logs? What is the value of the timeout pref? Do you see the same value if you refresh the page (ie. Are you sure the value is correctly stored in the DB)?
08:10 JesseDhammu 120000
08:10 JesseDhammu but now i have performed a system upgrade ..
08:11 JesseDhammu and another program is arrising ..
08:11 JesseDhammu it took me to koha web installed page
08:11 JesseDhammu and under "update Database Process" it is shoing lots of errors.
08:11 JesseDhammu and i am not able to procede further ..
08:12 JesseDhammu error msg says, updatedatabas.pl: DBD::myusql::st Ececute failded .. got error 1
08:25 Joubu JesseDhammu: Is it a new install?
08:25 Joubu If yes, the best would be to reinstall cleanly :)
08:37 JesseDhammu then how would i restore my database ..??
08:52 Joubu JesseDhammu: sorry not to be reactive
08:53 Joubu I don't have enought info to help you
08:54 Joubu if you got errors on upgrading the DB, it's not a good news. Did you have a clean DB somewhere?
08:55 JesseDhammu can you suggest anyone who can help me ..
08:55 JesseDhammu coz you are the only one who responded in this channel .. i though Koha IRC community will be very active and supportive ..
08:55 JesseDhammu but here things seems diffrent ..
08:57 mtj its the holidays JesseDhammu
08:58 mtj everyone is on holiday
08:58 Joubu JesseDhammu: Try to sent an email on the list
09:03 mtj JesseDhammu: you can use http://paste.koha-community.org/
09:03 mtj ... to add more info about your problem
09:05 mtj someone might read paste, and know what your problem is

09:15 cait could you take a look at bug 13458 maybe?
09:15 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=13458 normal, P5 - low, ---, koha-bugs, NEW , Add new patron shows default / hardcoded patron categories after search
09:17 Joubu yes, having sunny Christmas with the family :)
09:17 Joubu cait: will have a look

12:19 singlespeedfahrer Hello, would like to resolve a problem with my koha installation 3.18.01 on a debian wheezy server. Cover upload fails with ending up at "Upload progress:100%." Found nothing in my logs but JavaScriptKonsole says: "Load denied by X-Frame-Options: https://biblio.fau.org:8080/cgi-bin/koha/tools/upload-file.pl does not permit framing. TypeError: jQuery.handleError is not a function" (ajaxfileupload.js line 86) thanks for some hi
12:19 singlespeedfahrer nts
12:43 cait singlespeedfahrer: i haven't seen a bug report about this, but it might be one
12:43 cait maybe try the mailing list or file a bug?
12:43 cait bugs?
12:43 wahanui somebody said bugs was found at http://bugs.koha-community.org. Please fix any bugs you find. :) or reporting them is helpful, too.
12:49 singlespeedfahrer yes haven't it reported yet because I'm not sure that there is something I overlooked ;). Therefore i thought to ask here at first. btw: sorry for my bad english
12:50 singlespeedfahrer thanks I will try the mailing list
12:51 cait your english is fine, sorry to not be more helpful
13:34 chris_n @later tell JesseDhammu for future reference, #koha on freenode is simply a placeholder; all real action happens here
13:34 huginn chris_n: The operation succeeded.

14:25 Joubu o/
14:26 tcohen hi cait
14:26 tcohen Joubu: i was working on *something*
14:26 tcohen and I noticed a refactoring of yours broke some tests
14:26 tcohen or just discovered a big flaw
14:28 Joubu tcohen: which tests?
14:28 wahanui which tests are broken?
14:28 tcohen t/db_dependent/www/search_utf8.t
14:29 Joubu tcohen: and where is the big flaw?
14:29 tcohen im just saying the tests don't pass anymore on top of 11944
14:29 tcohen (or without it)
14:29 tcohen http://snag.gy/Mj3dq.jpg
14:36 tcohen were u able to rep?
14:37 Joubu tcohen: I am on it :)
14:37 Joubu I have a local branch, the tests pass
14:37 Joubu I am trying to recreate a branch against master
14:37 Joubu tcohen: weird, it works here
14:38 tcohen what os?
14:38 tcohen debian 7?
14:38 wahanui hmmm... debian 7 is wheezy, I'd say whe need a Debian 6 no ?
14:38 Joubu export KOHA_*_URL, then git checkout -b test_11944 kohac/ft/bug_11944; git bz apply 13264; prove t/db_dependent/www/search_utf8.t
14:38 Joubu jessie/sid...
14:39 tcohen hmpf
14:39 tcohen I hate it when things cannot be reproduced
14:40 Joubu tcohen: Did they pass before?
14:40 tcohen it is the first time I try your refactored test
14:41 tcohen when I ran the individual ones, they pass
14:41 Joubu tcohen: are you sure you have kohac/ft/bug_11944 + patches from 13264, and nothing else?
14:44 tcohen yeap, recreated it all, and keeps faling
14:44 tcohen 14.04 here
14:44 tcohen maybe a problem with Encode version or smth?
14:45 Joubu pmvers Encode
14:45 Joubu 2.60
14:48 tcohen how do I get pmvers?
14:49 tcohen 2.49
14:49 Joubu tcohen: pm-utils
14:49 tcohen so you are on a newer perl
14:49 Joubu v5.20.1
14:50 tcohen pmtools
14:50 Joubu yes!
14:51 tcohen so, your refactoring is causing some trouble in 5.18
14:53 Joubu tcohen: I added some tests in the last patches
14:53 Joubu It seems to be the new tests
14:54 Joubu did you try to search something with utf8 chars?
14:59 tcohen the publisher seems to be double encoded on the tests
14:59 tcohen if I remove the call to encode, they pass
15:01 tcohen maybe 2.60 is smarter detecting that
15:02 Joubu tcohen: l.216?
15:03 tcohen 212
15:03 Joubu If I remove that call to Encode l.212, the test does not pass here....
15:04 tcohen ok, is the new tests, somehow
15:04 Joubu t/db_dependent/www/search_utf8.t .. 18/32 Error GETing http://pro.koha-qa.vm/cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/search.pl?idx=kw&q=%CE%91%CE%B8%CE%AE%CE%BD%CE%B1&idx=kw&idx=kw&sort_by=relevance: Internal Server Error at t/db_dependent/www/search_utf8.t line 213.
15:04 cait is this in acq?
15:04 Joubu tcohen: I am really sorry but I have to go
15:04 tcohen it is a search
15:04 cait because there was a recent change about the publisher code there
15:04 tcohen np
15:05 Joubu tcohen: hope I will have the time to have a look on monday!
15:05 tcohen Joubu: I might strip your patch
15:05 Joubu have a good week-end!
15:05 tcohen I mean, leave it
15:05 tcohen un-aapplied
15:05 cait Joubu: have a good weekend !
15:05 Joubu tcohen: but maybe the test is useful...
15:05 cait i will be back to work on monday too
15:05 tcohen I think it is useful
15:08 tcohen have a nice weekend Joubu
15:08 tcohen same to you cait
15:08 cait iam still here :)
15:08 tcohen oh

15:29 cait :)
15:29 cait tea sounds nice
15:29 chris_n along with some macaroons fresh from Paris
15:30 cait oooh yum!
15:30 chris_n yeah, the rose ones are exquisite
15:32 chris_n they create no rose taste on the palate, bu the moment they are swallowed the ambiance is similar to walking into an actively blooming rose garden
17:24 talljoy chris_n i think the french are wizards in candy/pastry making.
17:24 talljoy i had some candy that paul brought to hackfest, it was sublime.
17:32 chris_n I had a variety of chocolates as well; I'd have to agree with your analysis :-)
17:32 chris_n had a friend who passed through Paris early this week and brought them along for Christmas
17:32 chris_n talk about over-night delivery ;-)
17:35 * chris_n considers hanging out a sign: Will code for French macaroons
17:45 talljoy HA!
18:02 jcamins talljoy: there's definitely a good reason we call them "patisseries" instead of "pastry shops."
19:30 rangi macaron or macaroon ?
19:30 rangi i like both

20:39 rangi nope
20:39 rangi it snowed in wellington once since ive been alive
20:39 cait hm
20:40 jcamins amyk: as long as the snow isn't until late January!
20:40 cait when was that?
20:40 rangi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpGaIDm0azU
20:40 jcamins Or, I suppose, is limited to central and south Jersey.
20:44 cait the coworkers have been unhappy about the lake not freezing over
20:45 cait because they wnat to skate
20:46 jcamins We still haven't gone ice skating in the city. And this is not looking like the year that is going to change.
20:48 wnickc the rink in central park is nicer than rockefeller center, or at least occasionally less crazy
20:49 jcamins wnickc: what about the one in Bryan Park?
20:50 jcamins Do they have one in Bryant Park?
20:50 rangi we have ice skating, but in summer only
20:50 rangi http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/news/local-papers/the-wellingtonian/6503317/Waterfront-ice-rink-may-return
20:50 * jcamins doesn't actually know, this year.
20:50 jcamins I know they used to.
20:51 wnickc never made it there
20:52 wnickc website indicates they are open today
20:52 jcamins When I was interning at the NYPL my wife and I talked about going ice skating there.
20:52 jcamins We didn't.
20:52 jcamins Then five years passed.
20:52 jcamins Wait... six.
20:53 wnickc yeah, 12 years in the city and had a long list of things I never did when we left
20:54 jcamins Heh. Friends from out of town who visit for three days generally do more of the things that I planned to do when moving here than I have.
20:54 jcamins But I've only lived here six and a half years.
20:56 wnickc It is a great place, but now all I really miss is the food
20:57 chris_n rangi: macaron in that case :-)
20:57 jcamins wnickc: yeah, you get very spoiled in NYC.
20:58 jcamins I cooked Christmas dinner at my parents' in central NJ because our renovations remain ongoing, and getting the ingredients I wanted turned out to be kind of difficult.
20:59 jcamins Fortunately, my mother was able to find one butcher who had a lamb shoulder roast.
20:59 wnickc we have once or twice diverted a trip home to go through chinatown so I can hop out to get pork buns while my wife circles the block
20:59 wnickc Renovations are the worst/best
20:59 jcamins Worst.
20:59 jcamins Definitely worst.
20:59 wnickc but then they end
20:59 jcamins Do they?
20:59 * jcamins would like to experience this.
20:59 wnickc sort of
21:00 wnickc I mean someday we'll put up molding
21:00 wnickc but there's very little plaster dust these days
21:00 * chris_n thinks that people who do not know how to use their IRC client will probably not know how to use koha either
21:00 jcamins It's only been a couple weeks, but not being able to live at home is *really* draining.
21:00 jcamins chris_n: lots of librarians know how to use Koha but not IRC.
21:01 rangi amyk: ive only been to maplewood, princeton, whereever nengard used to live, and the airport in nj
21:01 chris_n jcamins: about the time I hit the <enter> key I realized that that was a poorly worded comparison ;-)
21:02 wnickc you could just build an IRC client into Koha, of course then we would all be able to ask every question we have
21:02 jcamins rangi: I grew up right near Princeton. FYI
21:03 jcamins wnickc: you should get some VC funding for that!
21:03 wnickc hah
21:03 chris_n wnickc: the difficulty in this instance seems to lie with not taking time to read either the channel topic or the channel announcements
21:04 * chris_n got beat up over on #koha on freenode because the channel was empty (mostly) and someone thought that the world owed them free (as in puppies) support for koha
21:05 rangi ahh probably the same person who was complaining here
21:05 wnickc yeah, you can't fix people
21:05 jcamins Last time I moved my shell I stopped signing into #koha on Freenode.

21:08 jcamins How do you lose a phone in an apartment the size of a shoebox, when three quarters of the apartment is blocked off?
21:08 rangi the things you find when you go hunting for photos of princeton
21:09 rangi hehe, that is a good question jcamins
21:09 jcamins rangi: I didn't even know there _were_ submarines in Philly.
