My aim is to use the repaired database to migrate to 3.14 from 3.08, but the existing DB already has problems. I exported the biblios as xml and fixed most of them manually. I tried to re-import them into 3.08, replacing the corrupted records, but they were just appended alongside the corrupted records, taking new biblio numbers. I would like them to replace all records with the same I 00:52 jce SBN, and take the same biblio number. I take it that if the rule works, it should show a match in the appropriate column on the "Manage staged MARC records" page before importing. I don't trust my zebra indices, and it appears that the match checks are supposed to match directly between the imports and the database. That's what I want.
