00:14 jcamins Yeah, I failed to take into account how much longer it would take to mix a double batch, and the commensurately increased temperature of the dough.
00:15 jcamins So the first 44 cookies are a bit over-flat.
00:15 jcamins And caramelized.
00:16 ibeardslee caramelised is still better than carbonised?
00:17 jcamins ibeardslee: true.
00:17 jcamins And it's tasty.
00:47 rangi right, made it to reno
00:48 eythian lucky too, most flights in/out of wellington are cancelled.
00:49 rangi yeah, timed it just right
00:50 rangi right time for a nap and a shower before dinner
00:50 rangi spotyas later
00:50 cjh have fun
00:50 eythian later
00:55 mtompset Greetings, #koha.

02:13 jcamins Okay, it wasn't the temperature.
02:14 jcamins This is substandard flour.
02:14 jcamins I am very displeased.
02:15 jcamins It's fancy organic flour from the co-op.

02:35 jcamins Next time I open up a bag of flour and think "this seems to have been milled wrong," I shall listen to my instincts.
02:36 wizzyrea hm define "wrong"
02:47 jcamins The pieces of bran were way to large, and the flour seemed heavy.
02:48 jcamins Too large, or something.
02:48 jcamins Or maybe too moist, despite it being dessicatingly dry in here.
02:48 jcamins Very much unlike the exact same type of flour that I baked with last week.
02:49 wizzyrea weeird
02:53 jcamins Very.
02:53 jcamins But the bran is so noticeable that Shari thought I had added coconut.
02:54 jcamins I did not.
02:58 wizzyrea icky
03:05 jcamins Nah, it's still pretty delicious.
03:07 jcamins Which is good, since I have three 5# yogurt containers full of them.
03:20 ebegin mtompset, thanks for the Canadian Thanks Giving wishes :-)
03:20 * mtompset smiles.
03:21 mtompset ebegin: Are you a fellow Canadian? :)
03:21 ebegin Yes I am. Montreal
03:21 mtompset Sweet! :)
03:22 ebegin are you ?
03:22 mtompset I'm near Toronto.
03:22 ebegin really ? I didn't know that.
03:22 mtompset Hmmm... Do you work with blou?
03:23 mtompset I think I noticed your name or email on a bug report somewhere.
03:23 ebegin Yes
03:24 mtompset So, what's your excuse for being awake at this ridiculous hour? Can't be Koha problems, can it?
03:24 ebegin I'm inLibro's owner actually :-0
03:24 mtompset Neat.
03:25 ebegin Just looking at one of my client's authorities getting reindexed :)
03:25 ebegin to see if there are no problem.
03:26 ebegin I'm about to go to sleep.
03:26 ebegin but wait... what are YOU doing around ? :)
03:26 mtompset I'm looking at my colleague's indexing problems (he's in the Philippines), and cursing vserver.
03:26 mtompset It's Monday morning there.
03:26 mtompset Kind of hard to work with colleagues unless you keep strange hours a little. :)
03:27 eythian @wuncer nzwn
03:27 huginn eythian: I'll give you the answer just as soon as RDA is ready
03:27 eythian @wunder nzwn
03:27 huginn eythian: The current temperature in Wellington, New Zealand is 15.0°C (4:00 PM NZDT on October 14, 2013). Conditions: Light Rain Showers. Humidity: 82%. Dew Point: 12.0°C. Pressure: 29.44 in 997 hPa (Falling).
03:28 eythian it really needs the wind speed on that
03:28 mtompset Are you a touch typist, eythian?
03:28 eythian mostly, yeah
03:28 mtompset That explains the typo. ;)
03:28 eythian yeah, my second finger slipped by a row
03:28 ebegin mtompset, what kind of indexing problems are you facing ?
03:29 eythian wind at 90kph and apparently climbing. I'm almost getting seasick here on the 7th floor.
03:30 mtompset I have data that gives me a "malformed tag" error on a full reindex (under vserver), but works just fine on a local VirtualBox VM with half the memory and no swap.
03:31 mtompset I suspect the linux kernel is auto-magically killing a process somehow, and that cascades into interesting problems.
03:31 eythian it'll note that in the syslog/dmesg if it does that.
03:31 ebegin both server using the same settings ?
03:32 mtompset I can use less memory on my local VM and it still works.
03:32 ebegin disk space ^
03:32 ebegin disk space ?
03:32 wahanui disk space is NOT the issue.
03:32 mtompset vserver-- # I can't curse you enough, you ancient virtualization technology.
03:33 mtompset no disk space is NOT the issue.
03:33 ebegin have you look at the generated xml ?
03:33 eythian wahanui: forget disk space
03:33 wahanui eythian: I forgot disk space
03:33 mtompset I did, and it is valid.
03:33 ebegin did you tried to use the problematic generated xml and index it on your server ?
03:34 mtompset a full reindex of identical data would generate the same XML.
03:34 mtompset (as far as I know).
03:36 mtompset eythian: It won't note it in those logs if your rsyslog is busted, because you don't have access to /dev as root, and trying to update rsyslog busted half way during an install. :)
03:36 ebegin it should unless you have some difference in your config that you are not aware of :)
03:37 eythian mtompset: dmesg is a kernel ring buffer that's not dependent on rsyslog.
03:37 eythian hello cait
03:37 wahanui hello cait are you here?
03:37 wizzyrea cait!
03:37 wizzyrea you made it!
03:37 eythian but if you can't install things like rsyslog, your system is a bit buggered anyway.
03:38 mtompset ebegin: base package installations with no index tweaks.
03:38 mtompset eythian: Yes, yes it is...
03:38 mtompset vserver-- # Oh how I hate you so much, because of things like rsyslog busting.
03:39 ebegin grs-1 vs dom ?
03:39 mtompset whatever the defaults are.
03:40 mtompset But... let's check.
03:40 mtompset how do I tell grs-1 vs dom indexing is enabled?
03:41 mtompset Oh, that does remind me of a question I was going to ask here.
03:42 mtompset <retrieval syntax="usmarc" name="F"/>
03:42 mtompset <retrieval syntax="marc21" name="F"/>
03:42 mtompset which is the newer one?
03:43 ebegin mtompset, you can take a look at your koha-conf.xml file. search for zebra-biblios
03:44 eythian I hate that usmarc/marc21 difference. As I understand it, one is a schema, and one is a format.
03:44 eythian I'd be like saying "what do you prefer, HTTP or HTML?"
03:44 eythian (I could be wrong in my understanding though.)
03:46 mtompset ebegin: Both are grs.
03:46 ebegin mtompset, the zebra-biblios search should lead you to a file zebra-biblio-dom.cfg of zebra-biblio.cfg located in /etc/zebradb/ directory
03:46 mtompset The file was /etc/koha/sites/library/zebra-biblios.cfg
03:47 mtompset All the recordtype sort of fields are grs...
03:47 mtompset eythian: So, the question is... would that make a difference in the indexing at all?
03:47 eythian I don't know.
03:47 ebegin mtompset, do you have some record with large descriptions like table of content, summary, etc ?
03:47 ebegin have you tried reindexing with the -x flag ?
03:48 eythian mtompset: actually, it sounds more like a z39.50 thing
03:48 eythian actually, you should try with the -u flag, as -x is on by default.
03:48 * ebegin just trowing some idea
03:48 mtompset ebegin: Actually, there is a nice script from bug 6566 (if I recall), that is included.
03:48 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=6566 enhancement, P3, ---, christophe.croullebois, CLOSED FIXED, Checking if DB records are properly indexed
03:48 mtompset I run that script and have it put the records in the zebraqueue for anything not indexed.
03:49 mtompset Normally that works.
03:49 mtompset Even after the full reindex failure.
03:49 mtompset But lately, that hasn't helped.
03:50 mtompset I did discover I needed the zebraqueue to be cleared recently, but even that isn't helping now.
03:51 eythian if you are doing it with -f, the zebraqueue isn't consulted.
03:51 eythian Perhaps your filesystem has locking issues.
03:51 eythian And so things are getting stomped on.
03:51 eythian have you tried disabling the cron job for the duration of the reindex?
03:51 mtompset eythian: I wouldn't doubt something awful like that.
03:52 eythian this shouldn't make a difference though, as they work in different temp dirs
03:52 eythian but hey, worth a shot maybe.
03:52 mtompset I didn't try that.
03:52 eythian Have you also tried adding a brazillion '-v's to the command line?
03:52 mtompset But here's my complaint.
03:52 * wizzyrea has personally observed no good very bad things when the fast indexer runs during a full reindex
03:53 mtompset Our Digital Ocean VM works just fine.
03:53 mtompset and indexes in 30 minutes.
03:53 mtompset vs. 3hours for our other one.
03:54 eythian different IO, different RAM amounts/speed, etc etc.
03:54 eythian There's many factors involved.
03:54 mtompset I guess.
03:54 ebegin mtompset, how many records ?
03:54 wizzyrea it's cool if you just want to complain ;)
03:54 mtompset 45-46K.
03:54 eythian A package build is faster on my (old) desktop machine than my laptop, despite my laptop being newer, i7 vs. i5, SSD-hybrid HD, etc etc.
03:55 ebegin on v3.12 ?
03:55 eythian Just because desktops have more "grunt"
03:55 mtompset eythian: Probably your bus speed.
03:55 mtompset laptops have sucky bus speeds.
03:55 eythian most likely, yeah
03:56 mtompset wizzyrea: Did you not say you would expect that to take about 20 minutes to reindex? ;)
03:57 wizzyrea on the machines I use, it would.
03:57 wizzyrea ;)
03:58 mtompset wizzyrea: My local 2GB RAM VM is running on a i7-3770 with 32GB RAM. And it does take about 15-20. :)
03:58 ebegin mtompset, have you tried the rebuild_zebra_sliced.sh script ? it may help to identify the problematic record
03:58 mtompset ebegin: I hunted it down, and discovered there was no problematic record.
03:59 mtompset The records are fine.
03:59 mtompset Somehow bulk processing all the records breaks at that point.
03:59 ebegin hmmm... when do you get your malformed tag error ?
04:00 mtompset full reindexing.
04:00 mtompset BUT... no error on a zebraqueue reindex.
04:00 ebegin during the zebra indexation or while generating the data that will be send to zebra ?
04:00 eythian mtompset: is /tmp a ramdisk?
04:02 mtompset How can I tell, eythian?
04:03 pastebot "mtompset" at 127.0.0.1 pasted "mount output" (4 lines) at http://paste.koha-community.org/245
04:03 eythian none on /tmp type tmpfs (size=16m,mode=1777)
04:03 eythian your /tmp dir is a 16MB ramdisk
04:03 eythian I bet it's filling up
04:04 mtompset oh @#@#. A worse yet...
04:04 mtompset vserver....
04:04 eythian that's not a terribly uncommon sort of configuration
04:04 mtompset when you have multiple people filling up their quotas.
04:04 mtompset you would fail, even though you should have enough memory/diskspace.
04:05 eythian it wouldn't even need that, 16MB isn't a whole log of data.
04:05 cjh 16MB for /tmp is the same setup for our vservers, it had caused lots of issues.
04:05 ebegin mtompset, you can quickly test this assumption setting the -directory=<path with enough space> when calling rebuild_zebra
04:05 eythian try: sudo env TMP=/some/other/dir koha-rebuild-zebra instance
04:05 ebegin sorry, -d, not -directory
04:05 eythian oh, or that
04:06 * ebegin is going to sleep. 00:06 in Montreal. Good luck mtompset chasing your problem !
04:07 eythian * ebegin is now known as EEND
04:07 cjh eythian: I thought it was TMPDIR for gzip, does TMP work as well? or is that koha specific?
04:08 eythian cjh: you're right, TMPDIR is more right
04:08 eythian some things do TMP, but File::Temp doesn't claim to use it.
04:10 cjh interesting, I had only ever used that with gzip, ty.
04:10 eythian http://static2.stuff.co.nz/1381723037/754/9281754_600x400.jpg <-- it sure is windy today
04:11 cjh that is amazing, I only noticed that building site a week or two ago...
04:13 mtompset Okay... triggering reindex on QA system to see error, and then will try sudo env TMPDIR=/some/other/dir koha-rebuild-zebra -v -f instance
04:13 mtompset Does that sound about right, eythian?
04:14 eythian mtompset: yeah, though the -d ought to work also.
04:14 mtompset -d isn't listed in the script.
04:15 eythian from the man page:
04:15 eythian -...
04:15 eythian Anything else is passed directly to rebuild_zebra.
04:16 mtompset okay.
04:17 mtompset 12:16:56-14/10 zebraidx(30774) [warn] d1: 1: Malformed tag
04:25 mtompset eythian: I think the /tmp full theory is good.
04:25 mtompset BUT...
04:25 mtompset I can't get the temp directory to be something other than /tmp
04:26 eythian then add the -d whenever you do a reindex
04:26 eythian or, change the mounting of /tmp to not be a ramdisk
04:26 wahanui eythian: that doesn't look right
04:29 eythian tbh, I'm surprised it's not catching the error and notifying you. It really should.
04:29 mtompset I tried.
04:29 mtompset -d/path
04:29 mtompset -d=/path
04:29 mtompset -d:/path
04:29 mtompset all generated /tmp/newdirs
04:30 eythian did you try -d /path
04:30 eythian ?
04:31 mtompset Yes. same problem.
04:31 eythian hmm OK
04:32 eythian in that case, use the TMPDIR variable.
04:33 mtompset both TMPDIR and TMP make no difference either.
04:33 mtompset sudo env TMP=/home/mtompset/tmp koha-rebuild-zebra -v -f library -d /home/mtompset/tmp
04:33 eythian TMPDIR
04:33 eythian not TMP
04:33 mtompset I tried both.
04:35 eythian well, I'd have a look through the code, it should be using File::Spec and that should respect $TMPDIR, but it might be hardcoding something somewhere.
04:38 mtompset what command(s) would you use to unmount /tmp and remount it elsewhere?
04:40 eythian Wherelse would you mount it? Or would you leave it so that it's just a directory under '/'?
04:41 mtompset anywhere else?
04:42 eythian you just have block devices lying around?
04:42 mtompset as long as if I reboot it should mount back the way it is... I don't care. :)
04:42 mtompset I don't have access to /dev even as root.
04:42 eythian right, so you can't mount it anywhere.
04:42 eythian If you have enough space on /, you would just leave it as a dir there.
04:43 eythian Sometimes people link it to /var/tmp is that's got more space.
04:43 eythian to do that, you just umount /tmp
04:43 eythian and make sure the permissions on the root /tmp are still correct.
04:44 mtompset Nope... can't even umount /tmp
04:45 eythian why?
04:45 mtompset This is why I really hate this VM environment.
04:45 pastebot "mtompset" at 127.0.0.1 pasted "Why vserver sucks" (2 lines) at http://paste.koha-community.org/246
04:46 eythian ah
04:46 eythian that would be a problem.
04:46 eythian In that case, I'd dig around the code to allow the dir to be changed.
04:53 mtompset AH!
04:53 mtompset -f must be last parameter.
04:54 eythian really? That surprises me.
04:57 mtompset I put -f library after -d=/path and it is working.
04:57 mtompset AND!
04:57 mtompset The file is nearly double in size.
04:57 mtompset vserver++ # some of my hatred was misplaced.
05:00 mtompset Soon... soon we'll see if it works.
05:01 mtompset records exported.
05:03 eythian Hopefully it works, I'll catch you later.
05:07 mtompset It did... but got other zebra errors now?!
05:49 mtompset Greetings, laurence. :)
05:50 mtompset Have a great day, #koha. And again, Happy Canadian Thanksgiving. :)

06:17 magnuse hiya kivilahtio
06:18 kivilahtio magnuse: Any idea if it is ok to migrate from Koha-from-packages to Koha-from-source? I guess I need to upgrade the database and replace the dev-db with the old packages-db
06:18 kivilahtio but I have a gut feeling this might not be so easy
06:20 magnuse the databases should be the same no matter how you installed, as long as the versions are the same
06:20 magnuse have you looked at gitify?
06:20 magnuse gitify?
06:20 wahanui i heard gitify was at https://github.com/mkfifo/koha-gitify

06:21 kivilahtio magnuse: ah but gitify will solve the issue, thanks how could I forget the wonderful gitify :)
06:22 magnuse master has db updates that are not in any of the released versions, but if the released version is installed from packages or git or tarball does not matter

06:44 WaylonR Updated for current origin/master
06:46 WaylonR just need to work on test plan, then submit new patch.. though.. I kinda messed up, seems that I commited a old syspref.sql file awhile ago.. and only now fixed it, so... my last commit totally replaces sysprefs.sql.... with the current one + my mods to it... oops
06:53 alex_a bonjour
06:57 kivilahtio hyvää huomenta
07:04 kivilahtio WaylonR: Sounds like an git issue, you could try this. http://gitimmersion.com/index.html I know I am doing that today.
07:09 WaylonR kivilahtio, I probably did git fetch and failed to merge the old with the new.. probably ignored it, thinking that the new mysqldump format was the old version.. and committed overtop.
07:10 WaylonR so.. how you fix? i have no idea how many commits ago, the change was made. from old syspref format to new.
07:11 WaylonR or, if removing that file from the old commit will even work, to show the correct diff for the current syspref... might have to delete this current commit and commit the files again, for a different diff.
07:16 kivilahtio WaylonR: What I am about to do is have the code I have and some mess of commits, and just split all these modifications I have to reasonable commits manually. So just git diff master..branchName and then make new proper commits to a new branch from master
07:17 kivilahtio I just redo my commit hisotry manually based on the difference between master and my current work
07:17 WaylonR right.
07:18 kivilahtio then you can just remove the old branch
07:18 kivilahtio WaylonR: but like my post suggests, I am not a git expert
07:20 WaylonR ah
07:20 WaylonR copy all the files i changed to somewhere else..
07:20 WaylonR git reset --hard origin/master
07:20 WaylonR copy changed files back.
07:20 WaylonR commit.
07:21 WaylonR should be enough?
07:21 kivilahtio WaylonR: I was thinkking about copying code between branches originating from master
07:21 kivilahtio no HARD resets
07:21 kivilahtio but I guess you can undo a HARD reset?
07:29 samueld hi everybody
07:29 kivilahtio hi samueld
07:35 samueld i'm preparing some vm with koha 3.12
10:51 kivilahtio Any idea how to make cross-directory Testing libraries? I need a central UseBranchTransferLimits.pm library to hold the parameters and stuff for the complex TransferLimits tests. The thing is that the test scripts in t/db_dependent/* && C4/SIP/t/* need to share the same test settings and parameters
10:52 kivilahtio I could use a relative path but that might be a pretty poor solution
10:53 kivilahtio simply paramerters are 150 LOC
10:53 kivilahtio simply paramerters/test material are 150 LOC
11:06 pug kivilahtio: SOrry, not sure
11:07 pug Do you know how if 952$h (serial information) is repeatable in 952?
11:08 pug so if one has more than one DVD for a movie, with 2 separate barcodes for 2 dvds -- do you repeat 952$h or do you repeat the complete 952 holdings tag?
11:18 mtompset Greetings, #koha.
11:18 mtompset eythian: Are you concious?
11:19 mtompset @later tell eythian "File::Spec::Unix checks $ENV{TMPDIR} (unless taint is on) and /tmp." -- could taint be on, and thus prevent the checking of TMPDIR?
11:19 huginn mtompset: The operation succeeded.
12:47 magnuse pug still around?
12:47 pug absolutely
12:47 magnuse none of the 952 fields are repeatable. they map directly to the db so that would be hard to do...
12:48 magnuse so the workaround will be to have one 952 per barcode, so to speak
12:48 pug ok ...
12:49 pug so in effect for a 3dvd-movie set ... have 3 * (all 952 fields ) ..
12:50 pug Also I couldnt find if total number of dvds should go into 952$3? .. COuldnt find the exact function of 952$3. Can you help on that?
12:55 magnuse pug: this is what i use whenever i wonder about something related to 952: http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Holdings_data_fields_%289xx%29
12:56 magnuse you might want to consider "952$z - Public note" for your purposes. put "disc 2 of a 3 disc set" or something
12:56 * magnuse is not a cataloguer
12:59 pug The description on the wiki link didnt suffice hence I thought Id check on the IRC .. $z tip is useful! .. Thanks .. magnuse++
12:59 pug and yeah magnuse = !(cataloguer)
13:00 pug thanks though!
13:04 magnuse no problem!
13:10 druthb magnuse!
13:10 wahanui magnuse is a Norwegian giant.
13:12 magnuse druthb!
13:12 wahanui Well, she finally snapped, like we all knew she would.
13:12 magnuse just itching to go to reno, eh?

13:12 druthb yes.
13:12 magnuse hehe

13:27 magnuse kia ora nengard! travaeling today? :-)
13:27 nengard not til later - but yes :)
13:28 magnuse lucky you :-)
13:35 magnuse paul_p: not in reno yet?
13:35 paul_p hi magnus. Yes, I'm in Reno. It's 7AM here, but I can't sleep anymore (jetlag...)
13:36 magnuse 7am sounds like a normal morning, though :-)

15:13 mtompset Greetings, #koha.
15:13 mtompset @seen eythian
15:13 huginn mtompset: eythian was last seen in #koha 10 hours, 10 minutes, and 7 seconds ago: <eythian> Hopefully it works, I'll catch you later.
15:30 rambutan morning mtompset
15:30 mtompset Greetings, rambutan.
15:34 rambutan did you get your vserver issues resolved?
15:36 mtompset partially.
15:37 mtompset @later tell eythian I found it: https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=74349 version 3.33 is what I have installed.
15:37 huginn mtompset: The operation succeeded.
15:38 mtompset That has got to be the dumbest, annoying bug there is.
15:39 mtompset I think we have a hack now.
15:40 mtompset Rebooting the QA server, and seeing if this bypasses the problem. :)
15:40 mtompset If so, I can do it live, since everyone in the Philippines is asleep. :)
15:41 rambutan so you're working on a remote server there?
15:41 mtompset Well, the server is in Singapore, but the People using it are in India and the Philippines (to give the breadth of timezones)
15:42 rambutan ah, ok, well, yea
15:43 rambutan druthb!
15:43 druthb rambutan!
15:44 mtompset druthb! :)
15:44 druthb mtompset! :D
15:44 mtompset Woo hoo! The temp files are created in /var/tmp now! YAY!
15:44 rambutan meliss!
15:45 mtompset Why do I feel there is supposed to be music with people running through a field towards each other? ;)
15:45 rambutan a la tiny tim?
15:46 mtompset I don't usually think of tulips, more like marigolds. :)
15:46 mtompset Or tall grass.
15:47 rambutan or the coca-cola song is more better maybe?
15:48 mtompset http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sdCcVNpZ0lw/T5d1U1ptLII/AAAAAAAAA18/5XGev7EwY6o/s1600/tulip+fields+Kevin.jpg
15:48 mtompset A field like that.
15:49 mtompset And no, that isn't me. just a random photo from the internet.

15:53 rangi reload it might show
15:53 rambutan yep, there it is
15:53 rangi i had to reload 3 times then it showed up
15:53 cait and now it suddenly connected...
15:53 cait hm.
15:54 cait storify worked for me :)

16:14 cait do you have a power adapter?
16:15 paul_p (micro usb)
16:15 paul_p cait yes I do. And i'll buy one asap.
16:15 cait i am bringing it to breakfast
16:16 cait it's from my phone,so i guess itshould work
16:16 Oak french for micro must have been closer to nano... hence the.... nano-usb right
16:16 cait oh jd answered
16:17 cait saw it after i replied to your tweet :)
16:17 Oak this must be fun.... one moment you are on IRC (just like the whole year) and the next moment you are on a breakfast table....
16:17 cait Oak: fun and a little hm surreal?
16:17 * Oak is jelous
16:18 Oak i can imagine
16:18 * cait sends Oak cookies
16:18 Oak :)
16:18 cait have we decided on the parrot? :)
16:18 * cait just throws something out there to speed things up
16:20 paul_p cait parrot is OK for me
16:20 paul_p and yes, i'm hungry now ;-)
16:20 * cait has been for a while
16:21 cait i think my meal schedule is still on german time
16:21 cait so i already missed... breakfast and lunch? :)
16:21 * Oak give one cookie back to cait
16:21 cait aw thx Oak
16:22 Oak np :)
16:22 mtompset Oak: How are you? :)
16:22 paul_p cait mine is too. That's why parrot is probably OK, because we can have something closer to lunch than http://www.atlantiscasino.com/dining/gourmet-grind/, that is dedicated to coffee & pastry
16:22 Oak i'm good, how are you mtompset ?
16:23 mtompset Bad allergies and a cold.
16:23 cait1 hm wifi kicked me off :(
16:23 mtompset Good thing I was too poor to go to KohaCon. Wouldn't want anyone to have this.
16:23 Oak uh oh. take good care of yourself mtompset
16:24 Oak nah don't worry may be next year...
16:24 mtompset After I finish my lunch and drink some more water and pop some more vitamin C... more sleep. :)
16:24 Oak sleep is good
16:24 mtompset Since, I just bypassed a major problem. :)
16:24 paul_p cait1 I said:
16:24 paul_p cait mine is too. That's why parrot is probably OK, because we can have something closer to lunch than http://www.atlantiscasino.com/dining/gourmet-grind/, that is dedicated to coffee & pastry
16:24 wahanui i already had it that way, paul_p.
16:24 rangi ok meeting jd at the elevators at 10
16:24 rangi sorry in 10 mins
16:25 cait1 you shocked me
16:25 cait1 :)
16:25 mtompset Uh oh.

16:25 cait1 i will head down now
16:25 rangi yep heading down now too
16:25 mtompset Where is this file supposed to be?
16:25 Oak mtompset, "slow down you crazy child" (tm)
16:26 mtompset This is part of my indexing nightmares.
16:26 mtompset I need to solve this before I sleep again.
16:26 Oak give yourself a break. rest.
16:26 mtompset No can do... people wake up in 7.5 hours.
16:26 Oak *sigh* geeks!
16:27 Oak ah
16:27 Oak well. always play on a test machine. not on the real thing at midnight with a cold :)
16:27 mtompset It worked on the test machine. :P
16:28 mtompset so, I did it on live.
16:28 Oak in that case i'll let you do your thing :)
16:28 * mtompset smiles.
16:59 * magnuse waves
17:00 mtompset Greetings, magnuse.
17:01 magnuse hiya mtompset
17:02 mtompset I'm spinning my wheels on this... Do you know anything about where to find a configuration file that would tell zebraidx to look for a particular .abs file?
17:02 mtompset 00:51:57-15/10 zebraidx(32385) [warn] Couldn't open collection.abs [No such file or directory]
17:03 mtompset I don't get the same error on my QA system, but I get this on my Production system. :(
17:12 magnuse grep through places like /etc for "collection.abs"?
17:14 mtompset sudo find / -name "collection.abs" -- finds nothing, as expected.
17:14 mtompset Hmmm... just /etc
17:20 magnuse i have only heard of record.abs, i think
17:20 magnuse is coellection.abs something you added?
17:22 mtompset Don't think so.
17:25 mtompset Hmmm... found a problem in the koha-conf.xml... let's see if that is related... starts reindex again. :)
17:27 haxan hi guys
17:27 mtompset Greetings, haxan
17:27 haxan Do you if there is a bug
17:27 haxan about profile csv
17:27 haxan in koha 3.8
17:27 haxan it doesnt' work
17:27 haxan my saql report is with weird characters
17:27 haxan i want to create to utf-8
17:27 haxan but i cant
17:29 mtompset Not familiar with that, so I can't say either way.
17:30 haxan ok thanks but what i mean is that reports are is ascii not utf-8 i want to change that but i cant create profiles csv
17:31 magnuse i don't think reports and csv profiles are related
17:39 magnuse bug 2684 was fixed way back in 3.2
17:39 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=2684 normal, PATCH-Sent (DO NOT USE), ---, nahuel.angelinetti, CLOSED FIXED, CSV report in ISO-8859
17:46 mtompset for i in `sudo find .`; do sudo grep collection.abs $i; done
17:46 mtompset Hopefully that will find it.
17:46 mtompset I'm in / :)
17:48 druthb cait!
17:48 magnuse cait_m!
17:48 cait_m hi druthb
17:48 cait_m hi magnuse
17:48 cait_m made it safely
17:49 magnuse w00t!
17:49 * magnuse has to run
17:49 mtompset YAY!
17:49 mtompset Bye, magnuse.
17:52 cait_m me too
17:52 cait_m meeting the others downstairs...going to explore the library :)
17:54 mtompset Bye, cait, cait_m.
18:22 mtompset Oh this is very annoying.
18:22 mtompset The /etc/koha's are identical between QA and Live systems.
18:39 phasefx hey folks, I have a library that uses the Fast cataloging feature, and then overlays the records later with Z39.50. The problem is that the incoming data is filtered through the still-set Fast Add framework, so the cataloger loses certain tags if they don't change the framework beforehand. Am I overlooking anything, does it seem bug-database worthy, and/or is there a feature coming that will
18:39 phasefx change this?
18:39 wahanui phasefx: that doesn't look right
18:40 jcamins phasefx: there's a patch making it possible to choose a framework for Z39.50.
18:40 jcamins I don't have a bug number, but it's pretty recent.
18:40 phasefx jcamins++ that's what I was wanting to hear, thanks
18:40 jcamins It might even be waiting for you to sign off on it.
18:42 phasefx 10678
18:42 phasefx my search-fu was weak
18:44 jcamins bug 10678
18:44 wahanui i think bug 10678 is a nice and harmless improvement
18:44 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10678 enhancement, P5 - low, ---, tomascohen, Pushed to Stable , Allow framework selection when creating from Z39.50
18:44 jcamins Oh, looks like it's already been pushed.
18:46 mtompset just because it hit stable doesn't mean it hit master.
18:46 mtompset (unless the comments say otherwise)
18:48 phasefx and that feature is likely for record creation and record overlay? (same interface?)
18:48 jcamins I'm not sure, but you could take a look at the patch.
18:49 * phasefx tries kicking the rust off of his environment
18:50 jcamins phasefx: I meant you could just take a look at the code, actually.
18:50 jcamins Should be pretty obvious.
18:50 jcamins Or you could even install 3.12.5 and check.
18:51 phasefx yeah, I need to learn how to do all of this :)
18:52 jcamins I can't believe it was a month ago already that it was pushed.
19:09 kathryn morning all :)
19:12 mtompset Greetings, kathryn.
19:13 kathryn hi mtompset (I just can't stop saying "morning")
19:16 mtompset Just to triple check. The /etc/koha/sites/library/koha-conf.xml file should not have things like __KOHA_CONF_DIR__ in it, right?
19:26 magnuse mtompset: it does
19:26 magnuse there is a bug for it

21:02 mtompset PRAISE THE LORD!
21:02 mtompset Something worked.

21:07 mtompset And now, i'm going to try to figure out which part of it caused it to work in under 3 hours. :)
21:09 mtompset Also helps that I disabled the 5 minute cronjob while doing the full reindex too, I think. :)

21:23 mtompset I uncommented them, and that message came back.
21:23 gmcharlt mtompset: your actual indexing mode is GRS1, I take it?
21:23 mtompset Yes, that is what everything else says in the configuration files.
21:23 mtompset I don't know how the dom lines got into the XML file.
21:25 eythian hi
21:27 mtompset Greetings, eythian. I figured out how to get TMPDIR to work. :)
21:27 eythian Yeah, I saw
21:28 mtompset Stupid caching of TMPDIR.
21:28 mtompset So by putting it in /etc/environment and rebooting, it works.
21:29 eythian that's a good plan, as that'll stop the limited space affecting anything else, too. Just make sure it gets cleaned out on boot (which may happen automatically, I'm not sure.)
