22:44 wahanui okay, eythian.

22:44 wizzyrea LOTS AND LOTS
22:44 wahanui ...but search.pm is complicated and has been the source of much contention in the wake of KohaCon with BibLibre rewriting it for Solr/Lucene instead of Zebra support....

20:48 eythian you can force it to push by putting a '+' in front of 'origin', however it's best to only do that if you know for sure that's what you want to do, not just to make the error message go away.
20:47 eythian Basically the error is saying that there's a commit upstream that you don't have here, and so pushing your branch would stomp that.
20:46 eythian in that case, the reset will leave your local branch looking exactly the same as the upstream branch.
20:45 nengard i didn't need my local history
20:45 eythian If you don't want to lose local history, you merge.
20:45 eythian if you can safely lose local history, reset your branch to match origin (git reset --hard origin/manual3.10.x), if you remove --hard it's safer as it'll leave your changes uncommtted.
20:45 nengard and it worked
20:45 nengard and pushed
20:44 nengard and then I did the cherry-pick
20:44 nengard git pull origin manual3.10.x
20:44 nengard so
20:44 nengard but had to do a pull with the branch info
20:44 nengard I actually did a pull
20:44 nengard bingo got it
20:43 wizzyrea there is probably a more elegant way out of it, but I don't know it
20:43 wizzyrea yea, then just do that :)
20:42 nengard not comment
20:42 nengard commit
20:42 nengard so I'll still have the comment
20:41 nengard I won't lose anything by doing it - cause the comment was to master and I was just cherry-picking it
20:41 wizzyrea that is the nuclear, but ultimately probably effective, option.
20:41 nengard I might have had to wipe the branch and pull fresh
20:41 nengard I've had this problem before - where i broke things
20:41 wizzyrea but I don't remember how I got out of it.
20:41 nengard Yeah - fetch and rebase didn't do it either
20:40 wizzyrea gah this problem sounds familiar to me.
20:40 wizzyrea but I think, since you are technically upstream, you don't want to pull down, only push up.
20:40 wizzyrea if it were me, I'd probably git fetch && git rebase origin, because I often get in trouble with git pull.
20:40 nengard nope that didn't do it
20:39 nengard well let's see :)
20:38 nengard hmmm
20:38 wizzyrea I'm not sure
20:38 wizzyrea but whether pull is the best way to do that...
20:38 wizzyrea hm, I'm still new to pushing - I think that implies that you'd need to pull down the upstream to update your references
20:37 nengard 'Note about fast-forwards' section of 'git push --help' for details.
20:37 nengard Merge the remote changes (e.g. 'git pull') before pushing again. See the
20:37 nengard To prevent you from losing history, non-fast-forward updates were rejected
20:37 nengard error: failed to push some refs to 'gitmaster@git.koha-community.org:kohadocs.git'
20:37 nengard      ! [rejected]        manual3.10.x -> manual3.10.x (non-fast-forward)

16:55 gerundio so in the homebranch field setting the default as the only branchcode works
16:55 gerundio oleonard, FYI, setting the default value on a hidden field accomplish that behaviour
16:53 kf bye all :)
16:51 oleonard It doesn't do well if the correct link is *not* on the page
16:50 nengard hmmm
16:50 oleonard Not sure why though
16:50 oleonard nengard: It's not that it has a problem with the suggestions page, it's that it causes a js error which happens to break the suggestions page among many
16:44 nengard it makes no sense to me
16:44 nengard broke the suggestions page
16:44 nengard      $(#menu a:contains('Fines')).attr('href',$(#menu a:contains('Fines')).attr('href').replace('boraccount.pl','pay.pl'));
16:44 nengard actually the reason i asked for your help was cause this line of jquery did the same thing:
16:44 gerundio oleonard++ thanks for all the help with the homebranch subfield on the items
16:44 gerundio oleonard, user_permissions wasn't for me, right? :)
16:44 nengard i removed it and all was well
16:44 nengard without that jquery that page works
16:44 nengard yes :)
16:43 oleonard Are you sure it's my fault nengard? :)
16:38 nengard oleonard - your jquery does horrible things to the suggestions page ? http://screencast.com/t/Wv9DHD2VMx why would that happen?
16:37 gaetan_B ah alright got it oleonard ;)
16:32 oleonard gerundio: Otherwise you look at the individual borrower record to see what flags are set
16:30 oleonard gerundio: I believe user_permissions is only used for "sub-permissions" as they appear on member-flags.pl
16:28 gerundio I'll explore that option oleonard :)
16:27 oleonard gerundio: So you could set it to default to your one branch code
16:27 oleonard gerundio: It looks like you can hide the field but set a default value. That is probably what you were thinking would happen in your case.
16:27 gaetan_B which is puzzling
16:26 gaetan_B i have one user who is superlibrarian, and user_permissions is empty
16:26 gaetan_B can anyone tell me in which table permissions are stored ?
16:25 gerundio even more because the branch name shows up correctly
16:25 oleonard I think it is to be expected that a hidden field does not transmit any information with it
16:25 gerundio with only one branch set and the subfield set to hidden the value should be properly set
16:25 gerundio but from the usability point of view, I'd say this is not an expected behaviour
16:24 gerundio since there's only one option in the select the librarians won't be able to change it anyways
16:24 gerundio I have no problem setting hidden = 0
16:23 gerundio have no idea :|
16:21 oleonard I wonder if you can have a hidden field with a default value...
16:20 gerundio and the value is now correctly filled in for the only option (branch)
16:20 gerundio the input was replaced with a select
16:20 gerundio that fixed it
16:18 gerundio I'll change it to see what happens on the edit form anyways
16:18 oleonard Wait, I see why you would have set it--because you have only one branch.
16:18 oleonard So it probably shouldn't be.
16:17 gerundio yes
16:12 oleonard gerundio: In your MARC framework is 995b defined as hidden from the MARC editor?
16:11 reiveune bye
16:10 gerundio btw, this is UNIMARC and the homebranch column is mapped to field 995b
16:09 gerundio in the meantime, can yout just simulate an item edit on one of your installation and check if that hidden input has a value set?
16:08 gerundio I'll debug this form to try to see what might be originating this behaviour
16:07 gerundio but like I said, in the source code I see that the input has no value set
16:07 gerundio in the div I see the correct branch name
16:06 oleonard Is the correct branch preselected in the item edit form?
16:06 gerundio that might explain why it's not editable?
16:06 gerundio in my case we only have one branch
16:06 oleonard gerundio: homebranch should be editable unless you have some rules which prevent it
16:06 gerundio but the value of that input is not set
16:05 gerundio looking into the source code I see a hidden input
16:04 gerundio it being shown inside a div as non editable
16:04 gerundio oleonard, I see it in the item edit form
15:59 tweetbot` [off] twitter: @YvesTomic: "#koha #kohails Préparation désormais de la recherche avancée pour la recherche dans les exemplaires..."
15:58 oleonard Usually it would be added along with the item
15:57 gerundio how is the homebranch value populated in the items table?
15:57 gerundio isn't returning any results since the homebranch column in the items table is NULL for some items
15:57 gerundio     the SQL query: SELECT bi.*, i.*, b.*,br.* FROM items AS i, biblioitems AS bi ,biblio AS b, branches AS br WHERE itemnumber=? AND i.biblioitemnumber=bi.biblioitemnumber AND bi.biblionumber=b.biblionumber;
15:56 gerundio items ^
15:56 gerundio I've been debbuging the labels export source code all day and just found why the barcode labels are not being printed for some item
15:55 gerundio good afternoon everyone
15:50 oleonard Anyone know what's up with that? ^^

15:20 nengard now ? for the JQuery challenged ? how would I do that? :) hehe
15:20 nengard oh! use JQuery to change where that tab on the left links
15:19 oleonard nengard: Those are faux tabs, not jQuery ones. They each link to separate pages rather than to tabbed content. So you would probably change the "Fines" tab in the left sidebar to link to pay.pl?
15:19 drojf mmmh, rd-fish
15:17 magnuse oleonard: trying to be semantic (or RDFish) ;-)
15:17 nengard hey does anyone have an idea about what JQuery I could use to change the default tab on the patron fines page to the 'pay fines' tab (instead of the history)
15:16 oleonard ?
15:15 magnuse oleonard: like <http://example.org/users/0006067> <http://example.org/actions/isLoggedInAt> <http://example.org/libraries/Athens> ?
14:57 oleonard I'm just grabbing for the easy option. I don't know if there's something better or more semantic

14:17 drojf hehe
14:16 magnuse z39.50 should go the way of MARC - the sooner the better
14:16 magnuse sru is probably the best option
14:16 magnuse i think the built in ils-di docs tells you to use sru instead
14:15 magnuse also opensearch, i think?
14:15 magnuse drojf: yeah, those two
14:12 kf sru could work
14:11 drojf what options do i have to do an OPAC search by script/externam program? ILS-DI does not do that, right? and OAI does not work in real time. so z3950 or SRU probably?

10:05 mtj s/works/worked/
10:04 mtj hey, it works for me! :)
10:04 rangi but it hsould work in firefox, (a later one) and chrome, at least it should show you a quote and stuff
10:04 mtj rangi, ah, ok … i shut up now :)
10:04 rangi but i broke the manifest file last night poking at it more, id recommend not installing it until i finish playing with it
10:03 rangi its an addon for firefox
10:03 rangi you can get the firefoxOS simulator
10:03 magnuse ah, ok
10:02 rangi naw that wont do anything except on a firefoxOS phone, or an android tablet/phone
10:01 magnuse other than looking up the url again, i mean
10:01 magnuse the app was installed - can i find it again somwhere?
10:00 mtj rangi, wow
10:00 mtj magnuse, ouch
09:59 rangi view the source of the app, thats all the html needed for that
09:58 magnuse and btw: ouch for 160 bugs that need signoff
09:58 rangi :)
09:58 rangi you dont want an app chewing up your phones traffic
09:58 rangi thats by design
09:58 rangi it wont refetch the info from the server
09:57 rangi you can refresh that page a zillion times
09:57 rangi mtj: that wont do it
09:57 magnuse now all we have to do is re-implement koha in html5/js with just a JSON/REST api on the server side ;-)
09:56 magnuse      rangi++
09:55 mtj ^^ it fixed the same problem, for me

09:48 kf rangi: cool :)
09:47 mtj ok, so add a refresh loop… then useful :)
09:46 rangi stores all the data locally in a key value store tho
09:46 rangi not really, i was using it to learn about the html5 indexdb local storage, so it only refreshes once
09:45 mtj and useful too
09:44 mtj tasty!
09:43 rangi try it in firefox 18
