08:34 cait hi mveron :)
08:34 cait go to the beach!
08:35 rangi looks like it
08:35 wahanui rumour has it looks like it is a replicate of /usr/share/koha/misc
08:35 cait yeah, down for me too
08:35 mveron hi cait, I was already swimming. now I sit on tha balkony with a nice view to Camares and teh bay
08:36 cait that's ok then :)
08:36 mbalmer hi mveron!
08:36 mveron Hi mbalmer
08:37 cait hi mbalmer
08:37 mbalmer hi cait!
08:38 * mveron will take some Greek yoghourt with fruit and honey while waiting for git to wake up :-)
08:39 * cait offers some fresh cherries
08:44 mveron Thanks for the cherries, cait
09:02 * mveron will fetch a book and try later to connect to git. Seems still to be down.
09:12 cait mveron_away: git is hosted by bywater I think - so could take a while until it comes back
09:20 mveron Thanks, cait. Will try in the evening.
09:20 mveron Bye #koha
10:12 rangi     fredericd++ #good email
13:01 jcamins Hmmm... I didn't actually sign off on the test bug 3 times. Whoops.
13:01 huginn 04Bug http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=3 normal, P2, ---, chris, RESOLVED FIXED, mod_env module checking in installer.pl
13:01 jcamins It didn't occur to me that would skew the statistics.
13:01 cait bad jcamins :)
13:02 cait cheating :)
13:02 cait no cookie for you
13:02 cait :P
13:04 jcamins Hey, maybe I deserve credit for those since now git-bz can mark bugs signed off itself.
13:05 cait hmm you can have cake
13:05 cait or antipasti, later
13:05 jcamins :)
13:06 jcamins Okay, announced string freeze.
13:06 cait      jcamins++
13:24 * jcamins cheers.
13:25 jcamins The authority search makes sense for the first time _ever_.
13:25 jcamins Well, maybe not ever.
13:25 jcamins But certainly since I started using Koha.
13:27 cait :)
14:29 drojf1 put my data in a brandnew installation of debian and 3.8.2 in a virtual machine, have the same problem. indexes like Control-number don't work
14:30 jcamins drojf1: that's very weird.
14:30 drojf1 my data = dump of the complete db
14:30 drojf1 yes and very annoying
14:30 jcamins Guess I need to check out 3.8.2 and see if I can replicate the problem.
14:30 drojf1 i will setup a 3.6 next
14:30 drojf1 i guess
14:30 drojf1 and find out where to look in the db
14:31 drojf1 where is all the marc data for a record? there is not so much in biblio it seems
14:31 jcamins biblioitems.marcxml and biblioitems.marc.
14:32 jcamins drojf1: how large is your database?
14:32 jcamins It has only two records, right?
14:32 drojf1 no, it has 34k
14:32 jcamins Oh, drat.
14:32 drojf1 th sql is 1,4gb
14:32 drojf1 the
14:32 jcamins Yeah, too large to send me a copy.
14:32 drojf1 a little ;)
14:32 jcamins It has 34k?
14:32 jcamins What was the file with 2 records that we were looking at?
14:33 drojf1 when i was trying to find the error i indexed with -length 2
14:33 jcamins Ah.
14:33 jcamins Gotcha.
14:33 drojf1 so i would not have to run all the stuff all the rime
14:33 drojf1 time
14:33 jcamins Right.
14:33 jcamins Very sensible.
15:00 * Oak waves
15:08 jcamins drojf1: could you try the following search in the OPAC: pqf=@attr 1=_ALLRECORDS @attr 2=103 ""
15:10 jcamins cait: no analytics in your data set? :(
15:11 jcamins Oh, here are a couple, all the way at the end.
15:12 jcamins Ooh, there are some great records in here! :D
15:14 * jcamins remembers that actually he has a larger dataset from cait, he just didn't call it "dataset from cait."
15:17 * jcamins waits for 37MB worth of records to stage.
15:17 * jcamins goes out to the greenmarket while waiting.
15:28 cait oh
15:28 cait sorry, was washing my bike :)
15:28 cait glad you like the "dataset from cait" :)
17:58 sholt Hi Are automating with Koha and in the Library Catalog Drop Down just at Library Catalog when we type in the title of a book nothing shows however if we do the drop down we can type in items. Any thoughts? Thanks.
18:00 jcamins sholt: could you rephrase your question? I can't understand what you are trying to do or what the problem is.
18:00 jcamins Also, you will need to tell us which version of Koha you have and how you installed it.
18:08 sholt That is a good question. I am the new director at this library and others loaded the books. I will ask and be back. Thanks
18:15 jcamins Hm.
18:15 jcamins Still no git server.
18:16 jcamins @later tell bag If you get a chance do you think you could give the git server a kick? It's down.
18:16 huginn jcamins: The operation succeeded.
19:07 cait      jcamins++
19:07 cait ducks.
19:08 jcamins rangi uses PONY I think, but to me DUCK just seemed more appropriate.
19:08 cait both makes me lol :)
19:12 cait make...
19:27 rangi Morning
19:28 cait morning rangi :)
19:29 jcamins Morning.
19:29 wahanui rumour has it morning is a state of mind. or whenever the cat wants breakfast
19:29 jcamins git.k-c.org is down today. I expect fredericd won't be pulling the new PO files for a while.
19:32 rangi Hmm bet it swapped to death
19:32 jcamins Why would the git server be swapping?
19:33 rangi Apache
19:33 rangi thirteen
19:33 rangi Heh gitweb
19:34 jcamins Ah.
19:34 rangi Prolly needs max connections wound right down
19:34 * jcamins wouldn't have thought that many people would be interested in browsing the git repo.
19:35 jcamins Especially not on a weekend.
19:35 rangi They wouldn't
19:35 rangi It'll be bots
19:35 jcamins Ahh... probably ones that ignore robots.txt.
19:36 rangi And once it's dead it often can't recover
19:36 jcamins Or Rackspace had another outage.
19:36 rangi It's usually Amazon doing that
19:37 jcamins I've had a lot more uptime from Amazon than I did from Rackspace.
19:37 rangi Cloud .... It's full of crap
19:37 jcamins Sneeze, look away, oh, look, Rackspace is down.
19:37 rangi Tell that to instagram
19:38 rangi Even in different zones didn't save them
19:38 jcamins Heh. That's why your backup shouldn't be on EC2 also.
19:38 rangi Cloud = someone else's computer
19:39 rangi And usually more fragile
19:42 rangi My stop bbiab
19:57 rangi back
19:57 cait wb
19:57 jcamins Welcome back.
19:59 rangi thanks
20:00 rangi now to catch up on 2 weeks of 'i'll reply to this later' emails
20:00 jcamins lol
20:00 jcamins I hate those.
20:00 rangi yep :)
21:17 rangi one of the catalyst directors gets himself removed from lots of xmas card lists

21:20 jcamins [off] Remind me to work with more governmental agencies. When I give a quote, it's binding if the client agrees before it expires. Apparently with government agencies that isn't necessary.
21:21 rangi :)
21:22 jcamins [off] I know things are different in matters of high finance, but gee whiz. My clients would crucify me if I tried to charge more than we had agreed upon.
