my goal was to have results in the subquery excluded from the primary query (to prevent duplicate/overlapping entries) but it appears it doesn't exclude properly so I'm thinking I typed something wrong in the subquery |

hmmm...I don't think I can see anything at quick glance, for readability I would suggest using '?' placeholders in the query and then passing the variables in when you execute though |
